  • @Ghostsoulless
    @Ghostsoulless 3 роки тому +15

    Just a note, you might already know by now: The number before the turn also signifies the gear you should take it in. So 5 right means you should be in 5th gear, and so on. I’m very new to the rally world so when I first started playing I had no idea what any of the calls meant, I really thought he was saying “Titans 4” and was like “wtf does a titan mean”. This guide really helped out!

    • @RoadsideTV08
      @RoadsideTV08 3 роки тому +25

      The notes were written that way and they were made using the Mini Cooper, so the numbers will not translate to which gear across all cars, and this is also dependent on gear ratios

    • @Ghostsoulless
      @Ghostsoulless 3 роки тому +6

      @@RoadsideTV08 That makes sense. I watched another guide before yours and it was a guy involved in the actual Dirt 2 pace notes and he said that about gears, but now that I think about it that doesn’t make much sense with the vast difference between the slowest and fastest cars.

    • @agustin8160
      @agustin8160 Рік тому

      @@bacon_man21 You will have to pay attention, if you are taking almost every *6 Right* on 7th gear then that would be the reference more or less
      Same if you take a *3 Left* on 4th gear then thats the reference and so on

    • @user-nj6bt5gy4s
      @user-nj6bt5gy4s 7 місяців тому

      @@agustin8160 I also thought that when playing the game but I also took it as some sort of identifier of whether the turn is easier or sharper. 5 and 6 being easy turn ins, 4 and 3 slighty sharper, and 2 and 1 being incredibly sharp. Something like that.

    I have a few comments.
    An acute corner in my mind would be like a 45 degree angle. Because hairpins I do believe are technically going to turn you around 180 degrees. So if you're driving due north after the HP you should be going south. Whereas the acute will have you going south- east or, even south, south-east.
