The EA app makes me re - log in after I do so much as breathe it’s so annoying to have to type my shit every day no matter how many times I tell it to remember my info it’s like no actually stranger danger
You know... With the amount of rabbit holes the Sims 4 have it just seem like a build/decor simulator with those html text-based games on the side. And a really expensive one as well
The EA app is a god damn nightmare. The amount of posts I've seen about people who bought packs during black friday and they just couldn't install it as the automatic download was gone and there was no download button. I had to reinstall the whole Sims 3 to get my packs (there was probably an easier way but I'm lazy) Rip the Origin App, you had your moments babe but we loved you anyways xx
I had to re buy a sims 3 pack because I couldn't since it was on disk and the way it would be installed and said it was in game content. I still haven't been able to fix the issue:/ I got every pack but night life like what the he
There is a tiny bit of hope pushed far back in my brain that this pack will lead to owning hotels. Seeing that there's loading screens between apartments, hotels would be a nightmare.
For the no-longer-children in your family, if they're not into physical gifts anymore, it's fun to try to find a sanctuary online for your favorite animal, and "adopt" one for each family member you think would find it amusing. A few Christmases ago, I adopted a bat for each family member, and unwrapping a photo of a bat wearing a superhero cape was entertaining for everyone involved.
This pack was really similar to how Disney's Raya took the Western POV on how to safely create a fictional collective culture that is based on SEA culture-not necessarily accurate but jumbles up anyhow. The food was a mix of Phillipines, Thai and Malaysian/Indonesian, and Taman Botani is Malay for Botanical Garden. Nothing wrong-I'd still applaud it but I wish this pack also has more of the Borneo islander culture that is often overlooked. I'd love to see the Dayak and Orang Ulu culture in The Sims.
A sanctuary is not a petting zoo... It's kind of like a rescue center. Animals were saved from bad environments, the black market etc and now life their life there in save conditions. If a sanctuary allowes people to go to the animal, that it's a zoo, not a sanctuary. It's an important distinction because for animals it's never good to be in a 'petting Zoo' and a sanctuary should protect them from that.
I really wish EA would have donated a % of the pre-order sales to a tiger sanctuary 🥺 real opportunity missed to get pre-sales for them and give us a reason to buy the pack knowing it was doing some good too
in regards to build mode stuff not matching it's part of the style of a lot of traditional Southeast Asian acitercture to have the contrasting woods, fabrics, patterns and colours 😊 matchy match is very much more of a Western thing
I don't understand why they couldn't add play gyms, grills, and other things within the world/city so that there were things to do/visit; even if it was basegame. Damn, even more rabbit holes in different buildings would have been better. Also, they weren't ambitious with the new collectibles. Just marbles and tassels? They could have also added a new South-Asian instrument so that there was live music in the night market that sims could play...like seriously there's no reason to visit there. Even snowy escape had better environments in their neighborhoods with actual festivals happening and tiny temples/spirits everywhere.
Once I get this pack what I'll do is get some tiger-looking pets from the gallery (there are some amazing creators out there making very realistic wild animals) and have them be strays around the world. That'll liven things up!
@@christabelle__ I mean, obviously with the cats & dogs you get strays, but if you make / download animals from the gallery they are in your family, from what I know you can't MAKE your pet a stray
@@point0case144 you actually can, but I've posted an explanation as to how twice now, and on both occasions my reply has disappeared. I'll try one more time just in case. It's not a straightforward process, but it is possible. First you'll need the mod by kuttoe to allow strays in all worlds (by default they're limited to Brindleton Bay). Then you create a household with a sim and your custom animals, and make sure they are in the Other Households tab in your Household Manager (there's a more in-depth tutorial here on UA-cam). And voila! Granted, any sims and pets may show up in all worlds, so if you want to limit them to just one world (assuming you don't want tigers in Willow Creek), then there's another mod by kuttoe called Home Regions. With it, your sims won't wander outside of their designated world. Alternatively you can delete the household with tigers each time you stop playing in Tomarang, and recreate it every time you want them back.
3:37 "Kah" is a polite particle used in Thai, you use it at the end of your sentence to make what you're saying seem more polite. "Kah" is the particle females use, males use "krup". I believe "De-Kah" is a polite particle made up for Simlish to try to reflect that aspect of Thai language as it's very prevalent. If you listen to a Thai conversation, you will hear "kah" and "krup" a lot.
I just care so little about the animal sanctuary and botanical garden. I had no idea those were even things being advertised. I just wanted to build apartments
EA is going to have serious competition once the other life simulation games come out and they still don't bother to amp up the quality of their expansion packs by only giving it lots of stuff within a certain theme and rabbithole gameplay experiences, I mean, if they ain't trying, imma just sit there with a bag of popcorn and witness them crumbling once the time has come
God forbid you expect some gameplay for 40$... I'd be so ashamed if I worked on the Sims ngl. How they can proclaim this is worthy of the pricing is beyond me.
It's funny when you talked about your accent and "Sims 4: For Rent" because "four" and "for" sound the same to me in your accent. BUT I'm from the Midwest US, and Sims 4: For Rent is pronounced Sims "four" "fer" rent. So it's different for me and rolls off the tongue great!
I was really hoping it would be like a zoo. Just let me sim walk up and have some tigers I can't interact with but can watch behind a fence. They have cats, just reuse that model and scale it up. I don't understand how it would be a ton of effort
i could be completely off base but Sul Sul De Kah sounds a lot like Sawadee Kah, which is a way to say hi in Thai. But the extent of my Thai is learning a couple of words from a Thai friend.
The tiger sanctuary building brought back a random memory of watching this one episode of The Wild Thornberry’s in the 90s where Eliza befriends a leopard and there is this ancient ruin in the jungle that it lives. If I remember correctly, I think the leopard gets stuck in this huge pit in the ground but I may have mixed up memories. I don’t think I the sanctuary actually looks like the ruins in the show because I think it was this pretty pillared rectangle (if my memories aren’t mixed up) but it brought up a déjà vu feeling either way.
I'm totally on board with you but my gosh that would take so excessively much programming time aka be so expemsice and vastly reduce how the game runs on most computers and laptops, and it already is definitely not smooth sailing as it is...

I feel sad for those who bought the pack for the animal sanctuary but all they got was shells with a few basic story texts with a- and b answers to move the story along.
ooh she doesn't know what an animal sanctuary is.... Kappa But jokes aside....I hate that they mention rabbit holes as major features MULTIPLE times in blog posts etc. If you mention it, animate it! It could have been just a tiger that we can watch do the same animations over and over again without any interactions and that would have been okay, but if it is just a rabbit hole...don't even mention it...not worth it. I hated rabbit holes in sims 3 and I dislike that they are bringing them back more and more
yeah, honestly! even some tigers on animation loops you can have a few interactions with. imagine a tiger lounging in the shade and you can pat its head. even THAT would have been infinitely better than another boring rabbit hole.
Nah the columns and curtains are very SE Asia! Lots of vibrant colors and intricate patterns. I’ve been in a couple friends homes and their parents had a lot of this style. I know we’re used to a lot of boring European/Western colors so it’s nice to actually SEE some color. Also I don’t mind the rabbit hole. People always go on and on about loving ts2 & ts3 but those games also had a TON of rabbit holes. So for me it’s not really that big of a deal🤷🏻♀️
That's the thing with so many cities tho, there's this one designated place for the events and the rest is kinda just.. Empty. see you said "adopt a tiger" and i immediately figured you meant figuratively. like, you really can "adopt" or "sponsor" an animal and conservationists will send you photos and updates about e
Have you heard of Plumbella yet? She’s pretty bustling and beautiful. ❤
I had to reinstall the whole Sims 3 to get my packs (there was probably an easier way but I'm lazy)
Rip the Origin App, you had your moments babe but we loved you anyways xx
Oh the EA app absolutely hates the sims 3, I'm constantly having problems with it
i’m still rocking with origin and haven’t had any issues so i’m gonna be so depressed when they make mac transfer to the ea app
The prairie dogs in Horse Ranch are closer to an animal sanctuary than what we got in this pack
What prairie dogs?
@@reading1713 they’re behind one of the community lots, I forget whether it’s the bar or the club!
I was also imagining a petting zoo type of situation 😭
A sanctuary is not a petting zoo... It's kind of like a rescue center. Animals were saved from bad environments, the black market etc and now life their life there in save conditions. If a sanctuary allowes people to go to the animal, that it's a zoo, not a sanctuary. It's an important distinction because for animals it's never good to be in a 'petting Zoo' and a sanctuary should protect them from that.
Also important to remember a zoo is not automatically a petting zoo. Not safe to pet Tigers for us humans or the animals 💙
being from yorkshire and having "four" and "for" be prounounced differently has me feeling pr-e-tt-y special right now i'm not gonna lie to ya
I really wish EA would have donated a % of the pre-order sales to a tiger sanctuary 🥺 real opportunity missed to get pre-sales for them and give us a reason to buy the pack knowing it was doing some good too
this being released with for rent makes.... NO SENSE????????????
in regards to build mode stuff not matching it's part of the style of a lot of traditional Southeast Asian acitercture to have the contrasting woods, fabrics, patterns and colours 😊 matchy match is very much more of a Western thing
Its a nice addition of the Sims to name the "Great Mother" Khun Mae as คุณเเม่ (khun mae) literally means mother in Thai 🇹🇭
Once I get this pack what I'll do is get some tiger-looking pets from the gallery (there are some amazing creators out there making very realistic wild animals) and have them be strays around the world. That'll liven things up!
Yeah but how will you put them around the world? Where will they go?
@@reading1713 Uh...you've never seen a stray dog or cat in your game? xD
EA is going to have serious competition once the other life simulation games come out and they still don't bother to amp up the quality of their expansion packs by only giving it lots of stuff within a certain theme and rabbithole gameplay experiences, I mean, if they ain't trying, imma just sit there with a bag of popcorn and witness them crumbling once the time has come
Dee-kah is cut from how Thai women say hello: Sawad dee-kah
God forbid you expect some gameplay for 40$... I'd be so ashamed if I worked on the Sims ngl. How they can proclaim this is worthy of the pricing is beyond me.
The EA app is CONSTANTLY signing me out and making me put in a verification code to log back in. Its INFURIATING.
Discord started to do that too I'm so done with everything on pc
You know what's the best thing about the eyes? We got them in Werewolves pack... 💀
Like why we couldnt get tigers animated like the mini goats and sheep?
"A BIRD SHIT ON MY CHEEK" caught me off guard
Makes senses since sul sul is hi in simlish 😊
The tiger sanctuary building brought back a random memory of watching this one episode of The Wild Thornberry’s in the 90s where Eliza befriends a leopard and there is this ancient ruin in the jungle that it lives. If I remember correctly, I think the leopard gets stuck in this huge pit in the ground but I may have mixed up memories. I don’t think I the sanctuary actually looks like the ruins in the show because I think it was this pretty pillared rectangle (if my memories aren’t mixed up) but it brought up a déjà vu feeling either way.
If only they would change the rabbit holes and make a fantastically animated and interactive world!!! But they probably won't
I'm totally on board with you but my gosh that would take so excessively much programming time aka be so expemsice and vastly reduce how the game runs on most computers and laptops, and it already is definitely not smooth sailing as it is...
@@Katemio Yeah I get what you're saying, but still... like it'd make buying kits and packs potentially worth while. Though you do have a point, the people with computers and laptops would struggle. Also the people coding it. I'm just thinking of it from a financial standpoint.
we love a honest Hen
Like they could have made it a trail and you can see tigers and pandas
oh my gosh yes 😭 they didn't have to do anything extravagant, just any little step up from a rabbit hole and simmers would be rejoicing.
I really cant wait for the lore video, i love it when you make those
Bustling and Beautiful, that's what Jesse is!
The Sims 4 Fer Rent is the best way to pronounce it fr
Its so unfortunate because you just know that they put so much effort into this feature too, just for it to be such a waste of time. Id rather have not had the text game at the animal sanctuary and cave and more of the effort put into the town secrets.
Positive thing: you can finally build elderly home of your dreams!!
I feel sad for those who bought the pack for the animal sanctuary but all they got was shells with a few basic story texts with a- and b answers to move the story along.
the editing on this was so funny! had me giggling and giggling
ooh she doesn't know what an animal sanctuary is.... Kappa
But jokes aside....I hate that they mention rabbit holes as major features MULTIPLE times in blog posts etc.
They have to mention it because there is nothing else to mention
“Tiger pack”. Is this subliminal that they’ll be selling it separately as an expansion 🤣
So for me it’s not really that big of a deal🤷🏻♀️
ive been calling this pack luv 2 rent since it was announced
I HATE the EA app it is constantly causing problems for me like I can’t launch my game 30% of the time it’s so frustrating
No shade to anyone else reviewing sims add ons, but babe, you're my fav ❤
That's the thing with so many cities tho, there's this one designated place for the events and the rest is kinda just.. Empty. They could a 100% put some random thing in there, so it would make Simmers explore a little bit more. And I agree, they a 100% could have at least put a tiger somewhere. We want to at least see it!
The CC when you were saying Middlesbrough was not having any of it 😂
Btw sim sim de-ka is a play on "sawasdee ka" which is a hello/a greeting used in Thailand
"You cannot steal from the temple"
A few moments later: "Anyway, let's go steal"
3:38 I'm sure a few people have commented this already, but Sul Sul dee-kah is nod to the Thai word for hello (Sawadee-ka/Sawadee-krap)! :)
I hate the ea app!
1) half of the time it wont let me log in
2) it never stays logged in (yes even if i click the box)
3) half the time rhe sims 3 launcher launched out of rhe app refuses to show my installed packs (not am issue with origin)
Conclusions: ea app is trash -262827262726262/10 stars
Honestly all the lore probably could have been written and made by ai.. so i wonder what did they actually do vs what they outsourced
The flag in the background 🫶
Holy smokes, youre natural beauty is actually supernatural 😮
I hope someone with cats&dogs and horse ranch pack build the * playable santuary * here
The chuckle you gave me when you dabbed like the sim. Oh man. 😂
im sorry but the testing sim being named anime is o funny 😭
there are so many trees in your neighborhood and looks pretty! There were no trees on my street until I told m friend who lived half down the street that the city of Philadelphia will give a free tree. (Also we don't get to choose what kind of tree but since it is free cool beans!). I got a Trident Maple(unfortunately it's not the kind of maple that you can tap to get maple syrup) and she got a Crab Apple tree.
this world just seems so lack luster to me. 9 lots, all small, rabbit holes, and night market (which is giving city living festivals) already seem just meh.
“That’s just a made up sims word” as if not every single word is made up 💖 love you 4eva jesse
Another pack that had so much potential, yet EA didn’t put any effort
Tassles and Tigers and Marbles, OH MY!
The sims 2 castaway stories in 2008: go on, have a full on HD JAGUAR that can be interacted with
The sims 4 in 2023: imagine the tiger from the description :)
One time the EA app used all of my conputers ram after i closed the sims 4 and it caused my computer to blue screen. Mind u 16 gbs and had nothhng else open besides 2 backgroun apps. Trust me when i say i didnt play the sims for a week
That tassel shirt was cuter than i expected
Just about every time i open my laptop, I get a pop-up that EA has crashed and i need to log in again 🙃🙃
I miss Origin
- but more than that i love your videos!
that's why I have my task manager up 🐯
Have you heard of Plumbella? Yeah, she's pretty bustling and beautiful.
Wish granted.
babe wake up plumbella dropped a new video
I think 'sul sul de-kah' is supposed to be a play on 'Sawadika' which is like 'hello' in Thai
The cat judging in the background lol
"Sul sul de kah" is a nod to "sawasdee ka" (forgive my spelling) which is a Thai greeting for hello
Just as I was thinking, "plumbella is quite bustling and beautiful..." 🤔
I KNEW I recognised your accent! Another boro girl here! Born and raised
do people not know what animal SANCTUARY means 😭😭 animals arent for adoption in a sanctuary guys. its a place for native species (sometimes exotic species too) to be protected and rehabilitated if they're injured. didn't y'all know this i thought it was common knowledge 😭😭 and animal sanctuaries exist literally everywhere bc all wild animals need help sometimes
"Lions, tigers, and mold, oh my!"
Mango Sticky Rice IS unbelievable!!! 9:12 I ate it so much, in Thailand 🥹
that Plumbella, so bustling and beautiful!
