Darkwing Duck remains to be one of my favorite animated TV series of the classic Disney Afternoon lineup. DW also inspired me to make my own animated series with my own characters. God bless Jim Cummings and Darkwing Duck.
I really love watching Darkwing Duck and still watch it to this day. I also love when Darkwing Duck made an appearance on an episode of Bonkers. Another favorite show I love to watch on Disney Plus.
This is my favorite episode so far - but that might be because "Darkwing Duck" is my favorite Disney TV show and Darkwing is my favorite superhero. (You often talk about seeing how people react upon hearing you speak as Pooh or Tigger. Honestly speaking, that's Darkwing for me. I spent this whole episode with a massive smile on my face.) A completely non-sarcastic "Thank you for sharing" for this episode!
CatDog's 25th anniversary will be coming on October 5th. Maybe Jim Cummings could invite Tom Kenny to join the podcast. They would have a little CatDog reunion. ^-^
I have a lot of fondness for Darkwing Duck just as cartoon I watched as a kid and that it was one of, if not, the first show my uncle worked on doing prop design. Even if it was a slight connection it made the show even better when I'd watch credits and my uncle's name would scroll by.
when disney plus first came out, that's the first thing i watched and introduced my children to. I also remember being super hyped when i saw the countdown to the launch of darkwing duck and being like it's two days away, i can not wait, kids today will never understand the power of the disney afternoon lol
I thought of Daffy when it comes to Darkwing Duck, but I thought more of Daffy's character of Duck Dogers over Scarlett. Especially how he introduces himself.
Sorry to bust bubbles but that catch phase wasn't original "I'm am the darkness that lurks in the knight" is straight from batman where his who persona came from which why I'm so happy "let's get dangerous" stuck way better
A shame Disney screwed Darkwing and Gosalyn up in the DuckTales reboot. Darkwing no longer felt like Darkwing; he was literally now just some guy LARPing as Darkwing Duck! The new Darkwing lacked the wit, the cantankerous snark, and the larger-than-life bravado that the original Darkwing had. It was such a milquetoast, inferior and derivative iteration. I hated it. And Gosalyn? Disney totally butchered her. Her incredibly endearing, mile-a-second personality was changed into just an... average, every day kid. And the new Steelbeak was an atrocity. Gone was Rob Paulsen's smooth-talking charm. Now it was just dumb, blind rage.
I agree. Launchpad is the biggest letdown ever in DuckTales. He’s no longer having super sharp sarcasm like in Darkwing Duck. Launchpad in Darkwing Duck is very sarcastic personality.

My childhood hero doing the voice of my childhood hero.
God bless this man. He's an international treasure.

About time for Jim to invite Tad Stones, Terry McGovern (Launchpad) and Kath Soucie (Morgana) for podcast.
The episode I've been waiting for, thanks so much!
Definitely loved that about voice actors being a small "v", but a capital "A".
Fun episode, Jim! Darkwing Duck's awesome!!
I wanted to be DW when I was a kid. My favorite! Cheesy lines and all!
Clarence Nash. LOVED Donald's voice!!!🤣🤣

And did you hear his voice not like Jim Cummings honestly I much prefer the original then in the reboot DuckTales.
Bad news Jim, Tigger is in the worst upcoming Winnie The Pooh Blood And Honey 2 movie.
Well to be fair like many many people Jim Cummings did not like how and why they made that movie even without watching.
Hey Jim! Would you like some custom Thumbnails for the Darkwing Duck videos like this? I’d be happy to draw them for you free of charge!
Hi Jim how are you
