Esta muy bonito el video me encantó mucho
Beautiful content and a beautiful city. Been to UI once to surprise a friend, Engineering student then, in that first building/hostel closer to that park.l did not realise the campus was this huge. Some things baffles me about Nigeria, all the architects in that country surely went to these universities, why are they not inspired by all these structures and even build on that in Nigerian towns and cities? They come out and still build four walls and and a kitchen, no innovation. Secondly, surely the state government must know and see places like these universities and how beautiful they look yet they can not make the whole city look this green and beautiful. If Nigerian cities should look like these universities campuses, the country will be amazing..... Especially in this climate change Era. Lovely stuff, thank you.
This so true but when some start others will follow suit. Thank you so much I appreciate your contribution 😊
Very impressive program.

Wow that's nice... Great video
Thank you so much for watching it.
Thank you for the tour of Ibadan and UI. Apart from just passing through to and fro from the North about 50 times, I have visited Ibadan only 4-5 times from Lagos, and was in UI on all occasions to go to the zoo or to Odusote Bookstore (to buy books). Was a famous bookstore in the 60s and 70s for undergrad books. Ibadan zoo used to have 1 elephant - must be dead by now (my last visit to the zoo was over 40 years ago).
Your tour of UI revealed one other thing to me. Our universities are mini cities, and it takes a lot of funds to maintain them. Many of expenses involved are not critical to university education, and this may explain why our universities are perpetually broke. Many of our universities are several times the size of many famous Universities in North America. The campus should just be about department faculty and classes. Student accommodations are optionally built elsewhere outside the campus and can only take just a small fraction of student population and is run 100% with accomodate fees without any subsidy. In fact, most students except new incoming students do not want university housing because they are typically not the cheapest you can find around.
Thank you for this video. I was born in UCH, Ibadan some 55 years ago and really love the city, though it has changed immensely over the decades. It was great following you through UI :) Thanks again.
Awww I am glad I was able to bring this your way. Thank you so much Sir for watching. I really appreciate it.
Wow, if you look around the UCH ward 55 yrs ago, I must have been next door😃

Wow. I just got to Ibadan today o.
Edit---
I don't think Skye-lolo (Ose Olohun) is as good as before; based on personal experience. I've been there and just hype for me then. There was this very nice amala joint around mokola.
I stay around Bodija (Ashi-Bodija).
Thank you for taking us to UI. It's been a very long while I entered there.
O really thats great. And it was my first time at sky b ... please let me know the name of the amala joint at mokola. Thank you for watching.

Nice one
Zoological garden in the university of Ibadan should be redeveloped to meet modernity or completely scrapped. Animals are suffering there in bad conditions.
Born and brought up in ibadan
Ibadan north east , to be precise

Thank you for watching
So about the song used, I suggest you use something neutral... Preferably one where Jesus isn't mentioned like a bajillion times. Thanks
And what's wrong with mentioning Jesus Christ in the song? She should hide her faith because of a vlog abi🙄 Jesus Christ is forever king 🙏
This is mercy eke doppelgänger
Thanks... are you the one that told me that sometime ago?
MAPO hall commissioned in 1929 *cannot* be described as one of the oldest building in Nigeria. There must be more than 1000 buildings older than Mapo Hall in Nigeria. The house where I was born on Lewis st Lagos Island (Eko) was built in 1922 and we don't even look at it as one of the oldest in Lagos Island, as there are many other buildings that are older. Da Rocha's Water-House, the building opposite Sweet Sensation on Kakawa Street, or adjacent to Bookshop House (facing Broad St) was built in the 19th century. Within Lagos Island (Eko) alone, there must be a few dozen buildings older than Mapo Hall).
Hi
We are not in India. Guru Mahraji should be taxed for taking up land for nothing special. Either the land be used for farming or for other things that contribute immensely to the society.
Enough mad people being held there when it is not a psychiatric hospital. FYI, I am originally from Oyo state, born in Ibadan and I know what I am talking about.
