Life skills are more important than a piece of paper with a number on it! I always said “ if you’re interested in something,you’ll learn about it, no matter what”! My teachers said I’d never get to be a nurse, I’m now into my 43rd year, hate it now ,but that’s because too many uni grads that think they know everything cos it’s on paper!!!! Hands on is the way to be!,,,,👍🏻

Really nice to know the story about the man behind and in front of the camera......work skills plenty more valuable than a 3 yr course, the first lesson you learned was the most important, no debt. Your work ethic is inherited from your parents, so clear to see, your customer service in bars has provided yourself and Laura the skills to have your own business and your own popular channel on you tube....very well done you two. Love your fun and detailed content. 😊

I live in Litherland which is about 10 mins from Crosby and 20 mins from Maghull. I also work in a nursery which is down the road from Merchants! It’s great to see places around where I’ve been. Loving the video!

Just watched your video. It was put together really well. Totally are with you, my son was the same he was so young at the end was high school and was not too sure about going to Uni. He got himself a part-time job and work’s really hard up really early in the mornings also doing further study and now knows the path he wants to take. Can’t wait to see your next video and it would be interesting for your Dad to do one also👏👍😀

Brings back memories for me. I went to Maghull High from 93 to 1999, i remember your dad's dentist, going to the shops next to the Meadows pub and playing football on the Meadows sports field and tennis round the back. My friend got married in St Andrews. I've seen your Dad cutting his garden when he had the dentist once too when he had covid 😂. Really enjoyed this video 👍
This was the same as my son. He went to Uni. Graduated and did very well then went on to do something completely different and is doing fab. He is off to Australia soon with work. So with you on what you say. This was lovely Andrew to get to hear how and where you grew up. Would be good to hear your dad's story too. Thanks for sharing. 🥰🌞🥰 Xxx

Loved this little story. Very interesting and I do totally agree with you about the university thing………I was the same as you, didn’t have a definite path so I went straight into work and have worked ever since in a job I love ❤ there is far too much pressure at such a young age to make a decision about what you are going to go into 😢
Andrew the main thing is you followed your heart to do what made you happy my son had enough of studying and although I wanted him to go to university he went to college as a plumber, I am not dissapointed with him I am proud of him, Just like you should be proud of your self, you followed your heart and you work hard and have a succesfull UA-cam channel, Proud of you Andrew and you have a lovely girlfriend Laura 👍🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️ from UK

This is brilliant - Really enjoyed it. You can tell your parents worked hard from little to earn opportunities for their children and they clearly passed on those hardworking, down to earth values to you, which allows you to live and work in a place like Tenerife. Looking forward to the next part!

Great video, brought back a lot of memories as I went to St Andrews school too. My mum and dad's ashes are buried at the church. I also didn't go to university although that was the path I was put on at Ormonde Drive Comprehensive, now Maghull High I believe. I started work at 14 at Lucy's General Store on Liverpool Road North which is now a solicitor's office and then went full time into a bank in The Square. University isn't for everyone.

Working experience is so important, if you can get it in the field you are interested in so much the better. I went to university from a state school, a lot of the private school kids there didn’t have a clue about real life. I really enjoyed my time at uni and still use the things I learnt 30 years later.

I agree with you about going to uni. I have 2 daughters who were both due to go to uni but 1 was undecided what to study and ended up doing an apprenticeship. She worked extremely hard and studied for her accountancy exams on weekends and she became a fully qualified chartered accountant at the age of 23 with no debt. My other daughter went to uni and studied pharmacy and is now a specialist cancer pharmacist so the debt was worth it

Enjoyed that mate, spot on about uni. It is much more Important to find something you enjoy and look into that. My degree got me my jobs but I have never used it at all. As an aside, what you play off at the minute you must be half decent

My Aunty lived in Lyndhurst near Deyes Lane, always used to fish the canal there by the swing bridge, loved it, great memories and easy to get to on the train.

What a brilliant vlog, really appreciated the insight into your life and also the transparency and honesty whilst telling your story. Some great advice from this vlog, obviously a born entrepreneur who followed his "nose" for the better! Our first married home was in Maghull, 4 children & 8 grandchildren later, know all the areas on this vlog. Took a gamble (sorry about the pun!), with the lovely Laura, great team together. I am crying laughing at your primary school memories; Pokémon and the old school cake you can still get from most small cake places!! Also not forgetting the absolute bangers they had us singing. I was born in 95 so a lot of similar memories around primary😂
I was also pushed to go to uni and it’s my biggest regret. I dropped out after 1 year and a half because it just wasn’t for me. Like you say; they really drive you into that’s the only direction.
