Thank you for sharing this great video. I have been binge watching to find a suitable tutorial to help me make a Christmas stocking, and this is by far the best I have found. I am ready now to have a go. I will find and watch your other videos as well because I love your clear instructions and quiet calm style of presenting. Vera in Northern Ireland
Hi! I love this tutorial and just have one question - when you stitch the lining pieces together, they should be right sides together, right? It’s hard to tell in the video. That way the raw edge will be between the lining and outer fabrics when you turn it out. Right? Thanks!!
I went for white for a snowy christmas look, but you are right. if I do another video a printed lining would definitely be easier to follow. Hope it worked out well in the end! ☺️
I love the choice of fabric! The day of the dead is a religious celebration in Mexico, this very lovely fabric is a different choice for a stocking but no less appropriate than any other religious symbolism i.e. Jesus CHRIST being tortured on a cross. Merry Seasonal Greetings! Keep going ashwood fabrics. Xxx
Thanks for the feedback. The video making is definitely not my area of expertise, for the future I’ll see if the music can dip down while I’m speaking.
Hi Helen, thank you for your feedback regarding the sound quality. Although I have no professional equipment or training in videography I will try to improve if I make another video. I’m very sorry that you felt the need to comment on the way that I speak though. This is not constructive criticism, just mean spirited and irrelevant. I am very happy that you enjoyed the actual sewing content/purpose of the video.
I have agonised how to line a stocking. Thank you for showing me how simple it really is when you know how!,
Brilliant idea.....start now ready for next year...

I made this, all good apart from my lining was inside out! maybe a patterned lining would of made it easier to follow.

For God so loved the world that he sent his only Son, that who ever believed in Him will not perish but have everlasting life” Merry 👍 Christmas!
Found this video very difficult to listen to due to the music in the background.

How big are your seams? Wat too wide I think
Hi Linda Albert I did 1cm seam allowance x
The sound and dreadful glottal stops were awful on this otherwise good video.
