My kid just turned 15. I was Air Firce K9 for 11 years. He is setting his sights on CCT. Had a personal conversation with PJ Colonel Blake George in DC who was also prior enlisted CCT. Prepping my boy mentally now for what he wants.
Air Force SOF units are amazing! I was never in the Air Force, but I have the deepest appreciation for them! I just listened to Britt describe his landing on Takur Ghar and I felt sick to my stomach. Not only did he leave Chapman behind, he even ordered GRIM 32 to lay down heavy fire in Chapman's area. Then, to have NSW fight against Chapman's Metal of Honor for so long sickens me even more. I don't care what anyone says, CCTs have more value & worth than Navy SEALs! Long live Air Force Tech. Sgt. John Chapman!
I'm truthfully glad to hear you guys talk about how things are in your community. I did some reading on how the folks at my old squadron at Minot AFB managed to fudge everything up and fly nukes from there to Barksdale. In my day that never could or would have happened, and I'm still shocked they did that. And SPs lost a crate of grenades and a machine gun disappeared from the armory.
@OnesReady I have been following your channel for a few months now and love the information you all put out. Going through the process now with MEPS physical on the 20th. Thank you for your service and for all the help you are providing to so many.
I’ve been watching your videos on UA-cam since early 2022. You guys ignited a fire that I thought I’ve put out, which is to serve. I’m 33 years old, I talked to the recruiter and he said that as long as my body can take it, I’ll be good. What’s your experience with non prior service over 30 going thru the pipeline? I feel I got only one shot and need/ want to be as ready as I can. Sincerely, JV P.S you guys are doing a great job to educate the next generation
Hey fellas. Thanks for all the great pods on afspecwar. What are your thoughts on an older guy in good shape, who’s cutting it close to cutoff age retraining to specwar?
Age is not an issue. If you're in good shape. Take the plunge an go for it. Just because you're older, chances are you have a very well-developed intellect, so you'll have a lot of influence over the mental collapse.I believe you will have difficulties with recovery. On the other hand, you can get lucky and everything works out flawlessly. If you determine that you want it, go ahead and get it. At the end of the day, we are all human, and our potential is boundless, within the limits of what we can and cannot achieve. That's all there is to it. If you decide to go that way, I hope to see you at AFSW selection. Let's do it!
You should ask @itsautumsigears to be a special guest and tell us all about her deployments and combat rescues she has... Be extremely interesting or entertaining😂
Hopefully in this next coming year I will achieve my goal of being a pj, is there any guidance or wisdom someone can share to help on my journey? Weather is past experiences, things that helped you push forward personally, things to keep in mind to stay in a good headspace while entering the pipeline. Things to look forward to ect. Would love to hear some things, stay safe and blessed and loved the video. Thank you all.
It will suck, its gonna suck and there is nothing you can do about it but if you put in the time training you will find it easier to push thought that suck. Always remember that it pays to be the best. And if you have a group of the best of the best then impossible things will become possible.
I am also in the path to becoming an operator, i have already done the ift twice and failed the pull ups twice. You might not fail in the ift or you might but just know that at some point failure will happen but just give it your all and keep pushing.
@@daga534 I appreciate the words man, I know in those times of suck I will think back to these words. Embracing the tough parts and sticking through it to push myself to be a better individual is what made me want to achieve this is the first place. Thank you brother. Plus these pullups are whats kicking my ass the most so I get you to an extent. See you on the other side.
Can you become a CCT in the guard right away or do you have too be active duty first, and also if you don’t get selected or you quit, do you get a new job that’s your choice or does the Air Force assign you a job that’s in need.
You can be guard from the jump, however, if you don’t get selected or you quit, you don’t have a job at all. The guard units are very selective for that reason.
I remeber doing an army x air force training event in college. The army guys we were with were recounting a story of a previous exercise and explained that one of their guys was "in a bad spot". We (air force) thought he meant he was dealing with some depression but he was actually in a bad position to take contact 😆 if that doesn't explain the difference between army and air force I dont know what does.
That actually just sounds like a college thing more than an AF thing. College kid says they're in a bad spot? Depression. Military member says they're in a bad spot? Probably taking fire.

Have u guys ever done an episode for spouses? Im prior service army and looking to go tacp, the wife and kids are having a hard time with me making the leap. I love the idea of the episode for parents too. Hope yall make it happen.
I am definitely suggesting the USAFSpecjal Warfare to young men over the other services

I liked the Homelander meme lmfao. A good chuckle here and there to keep the audience entertained

Air force just raised the cut off to 42
@@Imakuka Thats exactly why my mind is back in SPECWAR. They changed it 2 days after my 42nd birthday.

If Aaron went Army he would look like a colored Omni Man. More grey hair and a stache that'd make Italian babes take a double look.

Since the Air Force has raised it's age limit to 42, what's your advice for pursuing AFSW?
