- (2015) Michigan State shocked Michigan when Jalen Watts-Jackson grabbed a flubbed punt and ran it 38 yards into the end zone for a touchdown on the final play of the game (16:34), giving the Spartans a 27-23 win over Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines.

Can you tell me why MSU did not have anyone back to field it. Sure in hindsight it work out, but what if Michigan had gotten the punt off? It would have just landed and that would have been the game? I don't get it, but I'm don't know much about football rules

@@nofurtherwest3474 It’s not required to have someone deep. You can run any play you want on defense no matter the situation. Since there was only 10 seconds left on the clock, the chances of MSU making some kind of last ditch effort to MAYBE set up a possible Game Winning Field Goal was higher to try to block the kick. Returning the ball 90+ yards in 10 seconds with no timeouts didn’t really make sense so they put all 11 guys on the line of scrimmage in a feigned attempt to block it. I don’t think it would have worked if the punt was handled properly, but instead it gave Watts Jackson a blocker to help him score.

This unreal play happened on my Birthday, I was actually in a moive theater with all my friends and family. Once cook missed that 4th down throw I was devastated. We felt like just getting out of that theater but no, we stayed and wow did it ever pay off. It's The greatest game I had ever watched.

I was playing with my lil bro in my aunts house in a different room n I knew that game was going on so at that point I thought Michigan was gonna hold off state n win... n then I told my brother hold up lemme watch the end of this game... so I walked to the living room where everyone was minding their own business... Michigan snapped the ball n then the punter missed the snap fumbled... everyone went crazy n the rest is history... if I never would have thought in mind of watching the end of the game I wouldn’t have seen possibly the best play I have ever witnessed... so that’s my story...

They stole some signs from other teams for the first few games of the year (which everyone does things like this only he just got caught) but after that harbough was suspended and served his punishment and returned. There is no denying that michigan was the best football team this season.

the refs in this game was horrible. stopped at goal line and he got held up/play should shop but refs let him run in when the play should be stopped . Also the msu FB was a td and called him short. There was other calls/no calls that were BS
Chris Jennings 7:28 if you’re talking about that call they made the correct decision. If they clear the pile off and the dude is in the end zone they have to call it a touchdown on the field. But you’re right there were a lot of horrible calls in this game like the targeting. They also missed a roughing the snapper call on the last play.
