- Our difficult question of the day is this; “Why did God create the Devil when he knew he would lead a rebellion against him, and why create him in the first place? Why not just destroy him rather than let him spread misery?

It's for the same reason that Tolkien created Sauron in the Lord of the rings, It makes for an entertaining story.
The thing is is that Jehovah God has foresight/Foreknowledge. It is his and his alone to use as he sees fit. He can turn it on and off like a switch. Jehovah turned off his foresight and let things play out. Instead of destroying Satan on the spot He (Jehovah) basically said to Satan "you think you can do better?"

As a Jew, I was always taught that G-D created Satan so that we as humanity would have free will. Satan is G-D s first angel. An angel like all other angels does not have free will. Therefore, Satan cannot do anything that G-D will not allow him to do. 4:15 4:31

A good question. The Bible portrays Satan as both. It's a matter of "progressive revelation." God didn't reveal everything at the same time, but slowly over the years as needed and as he saw fit.
@@denniskreiss I would say it's an accumulative appropriation of surrounding cultures' mythology (and divine attributes from pantheons) and a reflection of Babylonian exile. Certain men within the Jewish literate elite wrote their version of history (thus Asherah reverence, which was widespread in Israel, was essentially eliminated, for instance). "The devil" really reflects Zoroastrianism and its binary.
Study natural law for a few weeks, or hermetic law. Specifically, look at the law of polarity. it's like gravity no matter what you say or do these principles will never change. Good and evil are not opposite. They are a spectrum just Like love and fear. Think of God a spiritual and Satan as physical/material. If we don't have balance things go bad.
People think Satan is a separate being or something like that. It isn’t l. There only is God, God is and we are in God Satan is a very old way to describe the EGO. The EGO wants to believe it’s separate, knows better, is right, thought of ideas. Wants more of everything. In full circle it’s pity on self. It wants its understanding of god to be everyone’s, even stronger in groups, my country is better than yours, my religion is the right one etc. in giving us free will, the ego had to be, to survive and evolve l. Dissolve the ego, and I ne simply finds God/Love.
Ego is certainly a problem. But if the Bible can be taken at face value then it clearly teaches that Satan is real and a real danger to humanity.

Learning, considering all I can is, the 1- religion causes group ego, my God is better than yours.
2-the Bible was written couple hundred years after the death
3-it has been re-written and changed many many many times, to control the masses
4-most could not read and were easily manipulated
5- In AD 543, the then ruler of the Roman Empire, Emperor Justinian I, blatantly and brutally removed the Teachings of reincarnation from the scriptures of Christian orthodox doctrines. For the first 500 years of Christianity, reincarnation was a vital component of Christian doctrines.
This was to control the masses.
6-all the main so called religions say the same thing,
Love one another just in different cultured ways. How can one possibly think they got it right, that is EGO and causes many many wars and massive death. Not loving.
God IS, we are IN IT and IT is in US. When one can see and know ow that, one has truly found. Heaven is and has always been within. There is no devil, only ego. Read Dr David Hawkins, Eckhart Tolle, there are many others. God is unlimited, all inclusive and unconditional Love
Try watch Hans Wilhelm on you tube. Most people have simply been programmed, the know what they have been exposed to, taught and immediately, egotistically think they are right without ever exploring.
Because he realized an eternity in heaven was getting boring. Amazes me how you all believe this imaginary stuff is real. Real screwed up in the mind.
