Nothing tops the way he sings the line "after confession" on the original version from the silent corner - I always thought of this album as my own secret discovery. It is so odd to log onto youtube and see so many people who were just as taken by Hammill's work. i discovered him in 82 I think, and I remember listening to this song often in my dorm room at the Kansas City Art Institute in 83-84. I couldn't believe that Van der Graff had a reunion tour in 2005 - I would have gone. Amazing!
