Thank you.....I once read a quote that was something along the lines of "if civilians werent victims of war, war would be a good way to get rid of all the worlds trash".... People who make such comments sicken me. I just graduated as a straight A student in highschool, a person involved in the community, a person who cares about his family, friends, love, sports etc. I do not enjoy killing. It is just my profession of choice right now and there is a job to be done.
Very few people "enjoy" killing. However, when placed in an environment where survival necessitates killing, people will adapt to that environment. The "wrongness" of the war is evident. But it's unfair to treat these people as automatons. Without discipline there is no structure. Without structure there is chaos. That doesn't mean they all think or feel the same thing. All wars are fought by individuals. Don't devalue these people by painting them all one color. They deserve better from us.
