Preach, I've been a metal fan my whole 26 years. Found these guys a few years back and I swear there isn't a single song that doesn't slay.
Not generic, not overrated, certainly not unoriginal... they’re incredible live, and Dave’s one of the nicest guys out there, and a fucking scholar to boot.
Davidson's guitar work is why Revocation is so good. Daily reminder.

I saw Revocation last April In Cincinnati. He fell and broke his wrist before the song. This absolute legend finished the set 🎉
Just when you think this band has peaked, they bring out a new album two years later that takes shit to a whole new level. This band is unstoppable.

Agreed. Granted, I never thought they were "bad" to begin with. Even on Empire of the Obscene (my favorite album from them) they sounded alright. It's just nice that they've developed a bit more.
Even Dave's guitar work seems more razor sharp than ever. The production is really good on this so that probably helps too.
They've come a long way in production since their first album as well. Everything just keeps getting better!

I love how it still a human voice but so nicely distorted, perfect mix, no sweat but so fat. And I could understand like 50% of the (pretty lyrical) lyrics on the first listening... Pure mastery :'D

Yeah dude, the way he throws in the jazz chords keeps it fresh. And the dude writes arguably the best solos in metal right now. Nothing but respect for Dave.

I own almost every album and have seen them twice, and I met Dave and Brett at the last show. All of their stuff rules but Empire is definitely my least favorite, with Deathless being my fave so far. Just pre-ordered the new album, gonna be fire!

Exhumed Identity, Empire of The Obscene, Leviathan Awaits, The Tragedy of Modern Ages, Cradle Robber, Teratogenesis, Labyrinth of Eyes, Deathless, Scattering of The Flock....plus the most BADASS covers of Dyer's Eve and Altar of Sacrifice...I could go on..Shit, you at least got to see them.....

I never really liked any sort of metal music but oh man.. I've grown to absolutely adore the technical musicianship behind it.
A very respectful attitude and it's that same attitude (though I started off more inclined towards metal) that got me into Jazz/Fusion and various other genres.
