  • The procession clears Hyde Park and goes through the Wellington Arch toward Buckingham Palace. Chris De Burgh arrives at the Abbey after Tony Blair and his wife Cherie. But first we see Elton John arriving with his then boyfriend, later his "Civil Partner", David Furnish and are joined by their friend George Michael. Elton and David got married in a Civil Partnership when they became legal in Britain in 2005.

    Such a sad day. Watched her wedding as a young girl, her funeral as a young woman.

      Her funeral was bigger than the wedding.

    The fact that they had to stop George Michael and ask him for his invitation kills me a little bit every time

    LOL "and George Michael on the right, with the beard" as though no one would know who he was lol. Sorry, a sombre video but I just found the bit of commentary amusing.

    if I had to bear a funeral this long I would freaking die I couldn't bare losing someone close to me but having to go through all this I would be soo emotionally exhausted.

    @GANN010355 That was one of Princess Diana favorite songs. I think it was a beautiful homage and that Diana would have loved the song.

    Why on earth Georgie and Kenny had to part ? Fadi was with Boyzone's Stephen Gately's life too. Dont trust him at all,dont even think he is gay. Such a great soul with an amazing one of a kind voice... and yet, another extra ordinary talent to dust.... Melancholic like GM's death.

    If those photographers hadn't been chasing her car and if Henri Paul hadn't been drinking and stayed sober, that car crash never would've happened and Diana, Henri, and Dodi Fayed would still be alive. The press would never leave her alone, even once. A very stupid, ridiculous car crash that could have been prevented.

    Elton John said he had no time to compose a song from scratch and I do not think he had a quiet song where Princess Diana died ignorant of fact Elton was one of the few people who at least will take the delicacy of dedicate a song

    @afishafish it was in honour to Marilyn Monroe , lisen to the words of the song, they where about her as it was first reasled in 1973. Then it was remade for diana in 1997 as even you can agree its about her. "Good Bye Englands Rose" Who else are the refering to? no one only Diana.

    Did you not read any of the coverage of the inquest? The conspiracy allegation was examined in minute details with secret service witnesses even called to give evidence. She was not murdered and that's obvious.

  • @PrincessDi1997
    @PrincessDi1997  15 років тому +2

    Don't forget he only had six days to come up with a song, and at a time he must have been upset over the death of someone he was a friend of.

  • @PrincessDi1997
    @PrincessDi1997  16 років тому +4

    Didn't you follow the inquest at all. It was an accident caused by a drunk Fayed employee and a dodgy security set up. Fayed is to blame and his absurd allegations are merely a smoke screen to try and disguise his culpability.
    End of Story.

    @aliciaanne Diana agreed to write the forward to Gianni Versace's book Rock and Royalty. However,she had not seen it before she agreed to do it. In it were photos of royals next to photos of nude models. Diana backed out and Elton John and she fell out over it b/c he was to give a performance at the benefit. They reconciled at Versace's funeral.

    @whollyred 16 років тому +1

    yeah, it was. I saw all of it. I cried for her boys. I know what it's like to lose your mom when your going to need her more than you had previously. Prince Charles did an amazing job holding them up and raising them and spending more time w/them than he had previously. He had to be upset himself. Divorce or no, you still have human compassion for people. Leastways, you should anyway.

    @GANN010355 I disagree completely. I say it's more difficult to put words to a song which already has a melody and words and get it done so seamlessly. Princess Diana's version was a sweeter and touching version by far.

    I disagree about Elton. I used to live next door to him and he couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. He's also got a great deal of talent and does work extremely hard. If he was rude to you it's probably a reflection of your attitude towards him. Tit for tat!

    Well it's apparent that he desperately tried to get Dodi and Diana together, treating Kelly Fisher like dirt in the process. However, there's no evidence that 'who was dealing with' undertook any criminal actions toward Dodi, Diana or anyone else.

    PeteGeeza86, What's wrong with being gay? I'm surprised that you're shocked. It's something that's been going on since time began except that it's only recently that it's become acceptable. One can't help the way one's born - black, brown, white, hetero/homosexual - whatever. It all adds to life's rich tapestry. How boring it would be if we were all the same. Throw off your prejudices and embrace the world and its differences and you'll become a more tolerant and likeable individual.
