Personal preference on wheel depts regarding wind is one thing(even tho I don’t agree on the acceleration part as the 1-300g difference is marginal and the aero disadvantage bigger ) but saying ceramic bearings last longer and need less service is simply wrong.. They are a raceday high performance product that offer slightly better friction values -(which only matters in ITTs when it’s about a split second and you really need to find the last watt.. )But those bearings in general are more vulnerable to wear and damage than their steel counterparts..
i want the dt swiss arc 1400 over the 1600, sadly on the 5000€ ~ bikes theres always dt swiss 1600 and not 1400 mounted, 1400 is on the more expensive ones mounted. this is just because of the free hub sound
I’m not sure if I’d get a response in the next 24 hours, but I’m getting a catheter ablation tomorrow. Super nervous, and I watched your experience which brought some comfort. How are you feeling now? Has the arrhythmia disappeared? Docs were telling me ablation will set my life back on track/normalcy. Sounds too good to be true!
on time - Hoping for the best for you . It has helped me so much . I’m so far a year out and afib free . Have cut back on bad foods , stress and coffee and stimulants and has helped a lot to be more calm and relaxed
@@Rich_N_Rach I went to get the procedure for PSVT, and it turned out I didn't even have any short circs! Either way, the surgeon ruled out any dangerous conditions fully now, and I plan on making a few lifestyle changes to keep my heart healthier. Both of my femural arteries were cut open, now I see why walking was an issue in your ablation experience lol. Brought a lot of comfort hearing your response pre-operation, appreciate it again! I don't remember anything from the procedure itself due to the anesthetics.
Hi I'm getting my ablation for afib tomorrow and a EP study for svt so beyond terrified 😨. I'm only getting sedation as seemingly that's what they do here in Scotland. I just wanted to ask you how you're doing and have you had any more afib or any other arrhythmias show up ? I have rare episodes but when they come I'm totally traumatised so that's why I've opted for ablation. Did you suffer a lot of palpitations after the procedure or was it pretty mild ? Thanks in advance.
Hey good to hear ! Ive been very luck thus far . I stopped eating bad unhealthy food from time to time , and also no coffee of caffeine any more . Less stress and trying to be more calm has helped me more . Its also a mental battle , so need to work on yourself sometimes to have less triggers
75 % of drag of a biker/system is the rider and clothing, 25 % are bike - and 8 % are wheels.. approx. 80 % are pretty fixed in drag, but a wheelset can make a difference in speed.
Wow...this whole video is pure nonsense. Ceramic bearings lasting longer...what? Ceramic bearings are the biggest scam in the industry and not only do they not last longer than regular old steel bearings, they end up creating more friction in the bottom bracket over time, sucking watts away. The rest of your video on wheels (outside of crosswind concerns) is just absolutely wrong. Simulation data has shown that slightly heavier but deeper wheels more than make up for the extremely minor difference in acceleration with improved aerodynamics even over short criterium races. This is the kind of false information you have absolutely zero data to back up that the industry is plagued by. Just marketing nonsense and hype.

Thanks for your input Gus
Ceramic bearings are harder . and last long , as require less maintenance.
I’m a big fan , especially in the BB of a bike -

@@Rich_N_Rach I appreciate the response, I’m getting the procedure done in 12 hours. Glad to hear you’ve been well!
@@Ethan_2190 let me know how you get on !

Where are you? Need more training videos!!!!!
coming tomorrow ;- )
The rider makes up 75% of the total drag, the frame makes up 25% and the wheels make up 8-10%, that’s 110-108%.
That seems like more than 100% to me?
