Good tip on the air hose. I'm not putting on heated grips yet but I do have a need to pull the grip on throttle off on the right side and your video came up in my search. I laid it down in a deep mud puddle and I think I got dirt in there. there is a lot of resistance to twisting the throttle.

Hey Wulf, was installing the oxford grips and ran into a problem on the throttle side. There's a higher ring at the end of the tube which the original grip was placed over. There's a groove in the original grip to fit this ring.
In your video, that section seems to be either under the throttle lock or removed. If you can what I am refering to, how would you deal with it? It gets in the way... Thanks!

    • @WulfOnTheRun

If its the white plastic spacer ring you are talking about just go up to it.

Hi how are the grips holding up? I just fitted these on my 2019 CB500f today, took me almost 2 hours from start to complete. I must say they are nice and hot! Good thing I didn't have to cut the grips to accommodate the bar ends. However on the throttle side I had to improvise a bit by using washers to give a bit of a gap against the bar end and was able to tighten the screw freely was Very pleased! For the record, I did watch your video before I installation on mine. Thanks!

DON'T wire these directly to the battery!!.........Make sure you wire these up through a relay connected to your ignition as even turned off, the control will still draw a small current which will flatten your battery over a period of time (Week).......

Thanks for your comment but the bar ends come with the barkbuster hand gaurds. They are designed to hold the gaurds to the handle bars.
Its an adventure bike that as been over many a rock and mud been dropped a few times. If i wanted pretty ide have bought a cruiser and polished it every weekend like a sad arse.
