First time I watched this video last year I had never fished bass. After a couple of months of bass fishing in lake Conroe now and having caught a 6.4 lb bigmouth on a kayak just last week, I have a new appreciation for that 8 lb bass Tom caught and his excitement about that.
90% of the lake is bulkhead. It's choppy no matter what in the main body but if you get out there early enough it's like glass at times. I've taken a 26 tri-toon out on the day that the dinner cruise sunk in that storm and it was pretty damn sketchy. Now I have an 18' bayliner M hull which is a bit rougher but we still take it to conroe often. I never check the wind speeds either.
Theres a spot on Calvary rd if u go all the way down over the bridge right past stow away on the left there’s a cleared out spot with a small dirt road that leads to it

How is Conroe in the wind. I was always told if the wind is over 10mph not to go.

Tony is correct. There are 3 classes of share lunker in tx. 8.00-9.99 Lunker Class, 10.00-12.99 Elite Class, and 13+ Legacy Class.
