The other objection is that the Bishops were only requested to participate and not commanded and that there is no guarantee that all Bishops participated. This also is a weak argument since we are judged on our intent and not on our results.

It is a question that not enough people ask. God of course does not NEED the Pope to consecrate Russia. God can do whatever He wants with Russia. God WANTS to Consecrate Russia through His Church. It is a test for His Church.

The successor to Pope Benedict XVI is not Pope Francis as Francis will be declared an anti-pope. We don’t have a pope right now.
Unless a pope is declared to be an anti-pope, he is the pope. It is not for us to make that determination
