Whenever I complained that left right was way too OP, the left righters would tell me I just need to get good and learn to guard them. Now that 2k made dribbling more balanced, they saying the game is ruined… I can dribble just fine after the patch, sounds like the left righters need to “get good” and learn how to dribble.

When 2k dropped MyPark, it turned the game into a juggernaut that 2k themselves couldn't maintain. After 2k17 they couldn't keep up with the expectations. Then really fucked up by adding the neighborhood and the city when the only thing we actually cared about was better gameplay. But that shit got put on the back burner. They should've kept the same gameplay blueprint from 2k19 without the animations. They do too much rebuilding instead of improving and building on what already works..

This is why nba live was so important . They need some form of competition to keep 2k honest and making improvements
100% true..as I always say 2k is 1 good nba live game away from actually making the game you want..if nba live doesn't do it 1st

I still to this day play live 18. A suprising amount of people do. The progression system is cool and unique. The grind is way less. You actually get rewarded for playing good D. They aren't trying to do too much. The only issue is that the gameplay feels wack to 2k players. But after about a day of playing you get used to it. The game rewards iq more than 2k as well. Any other mode than park/live run sucks though.
Speaking as a game dev myself. It actually becomes really harder when worker with more people since a lot of the code is connected with each other.
Most developers work different aswel. Every developer writes code in a different form which makes it harder for other devs to read and work further on wherever they were.
Conclusion: We as developers are all different and work too different and therefore hiring more developers for coding might not be the greatest solution since it makes it harder to work on github as a group.

As someone who also codes on a smaller level, it’s definitely possible to communicate and work around the differences in each persons’ way of coding. Especially for a Triple A company who gets paid big money to do this.
It’s not like Take Two/2K is an indie company with a few coders that are deving as a hobby with their friends. They hire people who are experienced in this (I’d hope) and there’s honestly no excuse no matter how I look at it even from a dev standpoint. Haven’t bought 2K since 19 and it’ll stay that way until they get their shit together.
lol majority of the code is already there from previous 2ks, plus developers can easily work together and use different code, youre sounding lazy..

This stuff is just funny. Been playing 2k since Dreamcast and I miss the good ole days when 2k was just a semi sim bball game with no pay to win features or focus on everything but real basketball. Now this game is like a straight arcade game where everybody whines about players “powers” being op or nerfed every single patch. Every year they love the game. Two days later they hate it. Then they love it. Then they whine about it again. It doesn’t make sense for a developer to keep making a patch every time content creators get irritated with people learning how to manipulate the game. That’s what happens when you focus on player “archetype” and “powers” lol instead of some straight up basketball. In my humble opinion of course. Bless up 🙏🏾

2k21-22 really has made me appreciate 2k20 so much! As much bs as the game came with it was actually fun to plau
I personally feel like the latest patch was for the best. 1 person going for 50+ a game is cool UA-cam content but when people emulate that play style and every game feels like the same experience the fun is taken away. It was so bad before the most gaurds wouldn't pass to anyone because they believed the could win by themselves or that's the "meta" way to play. The content boosted the top guys on the community but destroyed the integrity of basketball. We play the game to win but we want to have fun and be involved with playing a 2-3 and running through a screen every single play. Some people will say I'm wrong but I go to Pro-Am to be hyper competitive but can walk in the rec with basically having a Pro Am team. It's ridiculous what people will do to win.
Passing the ball is how you win. Team defense is how you win. Always have and always will be. Cheese exploits only go so far and you gotta find ppl that are willing to do nothing all game while you dance...not likely afterwhile lol

honestly i think mainly the issue is 2k fatigue for me i've been playing every 2k since 2k9 and i can remember the best moments and most fun being on the 360 and half on the xbox one. 2k just doesnt excite me anymore and it might just be because mainly its nothing to really pull you back in every year other than playing with friends but that slowly died out as well

I had to stop playing, that 40rep grind on current gen w randoms is horrible and I decided not worth it 😑 waiting for the next one unless they make it able to play basketball in the basketball game, no hour waits to get on a park game or trash matchmaking
I’ve been seeing these topics as of late and I can see where both sides are coming from. I’ve played Madden for a little over 2 decades and the way they killed off Franchise mode is down right unforgivable. I started playing 2k10 and skipped a couple years in between so I don’t have a bunch of time invested into 2k as a franchise. The only modes that interest me in both is myteam and honestly if you play any game long enough you will pick up on the games flaws. I get the whole games not being better than previous versions, games coming out half way done and glitches and exploits happening but compared to that other game I mentioned y’all have it really good.

Welcome to 2k. It has regressed every year since Dreamcast due to its lack of innovation. Literally, it brought a lot of developers from NBA Live and allowed new content creators to soil its fabric of simulation basketball.
That's the exact reason why I made just a big and nothing else I was told last season that 2k will be patching dribbling

I watch your vids because of your honesty towards how you feel about the game. That being said I became a fan of the game when they gave it for free on epic on PC and It even made me a fan of basketball again, also being a new fan I bought into the hype of thinking 2k22 was going to be really good but I grew to understand how my other friends who have played 2k for many years are so let down or knew they would drop the ball on this game. 2K23 needs the old rep system back. And the game should be out for two years not 1. Bring the rep rewards such as the lions/tigers from 2K15 and the jetpack from 2K17. The city/The neighborhood should be in different cities every 2K such as New York,LA,Toronto and chicago. My career should be a more evolving thing. The story needs to make you want to know what happens next. Like in 17 when you're girlfriend broke up with you. And 2K shouldn't be biased of the 2K logos. Dont just give someone a logo cuz they're small or big. It should be earned. We also need an award ceremony at the end of 2K showing the first legend and the person with best stats and the most improved 2K player and The MVP 2K player as well as best content creator award. We need mascots back as rep up rewards as well. And no sorry ass skeleton. I mean a mascot of your choice every time you rep up after ss4 such as E1,E2,E3 and legend should automatically contain a mansion sky rise my court. As well as car to get around the city. It doesn't have to be name brand.
(BTW this should be for PC,PS5, AND XBOX SERIES X due to them being the only systems able to handle all this. I also feel PC players shouldn't get the car reward nor the mascots until they can prove that they're responsible cause all they'll do is mod it into the game.)

This is my first 2k since 2k18 and honestly one of the best 2ks i've played, the enjoyment levels is up there with 15 and 16. Only thing is the rewards could be better for s3. Anyone else feel the same?

Maybe if they introduced tiers of logos so that the smaller content creators get an opportunity to be known and the bigger creators also get their logos that they deserve. It would make the parks a whole lot more fun if you saw more logos and could pull up on someone and find out who they are.
