I love the bluesy feel. I know he mentioned that he was aiming to have a bit more of a bluesy feel to this album, I definitely think he's accomplished it! The lyrics in all of these songs on this album are just amazing. I am in awe of how this man can still create such art! :) Plus my mom likes that his sound is a bit more toned down, and we can listen to this album together haha.

I love this song! it shows a depth that Manson can do. Ive enjoyed his music since the 90s and as he adapts and changes its refreshing to hear him growing as an artist.
My interpretation of the song is that it's stating that the USA is a bully and uses its guns to keep its citizens United in war against a common enemy so they don't war upon themselves. We're killing strangers (other countries) so we don't kill the ones that we love (other Americans). Truly brilliant song. Thank you marilyn Manson for another masterpiece. You will always be my hero!

I been a fan since his first album, it got me through some very hard times.I am now 41 and I'm still blown away by his music. And not forgetting to mention that his music isn't the only thing that's extremely hot .....lol
He's a poet who just says what he sees without filters. It takes guts and talent, especially for someone who started out as a nerdy social reject.
If you've watched Breaking Bad, you can agree, this song would sound perfect in the show. I could imagine a total badass Heisenberg moment going down while this plays.

Fricken wow. He's back with a vengeance, and as good, if not better, than ever before. The most unique and raw vocals I've heard from him, and collaborating with his composer friend has given this album an organic sound that I didn't know I wanted, but realized I needed to hear from SOMEBODY this year. Take a bow Marilyn, you've earned it.

It's like a bluesy dirge or a semi-political chant (even a little Tom Waits-ish). Whatever it is, it's definitely refreshing. I'm glad Manson's got some of his old ghoulish gusto back considering his last couple of albums were not up to par. I'm just glad this guy can still consistently pump out a record every two or three years.
He said recently that this album had a bit of a bluesy feel, done on purpose. It's pretty awesome :3

Most of the others regarded as good all sound mostly alike, which is one of the reasons someone like Marilyn Manson could really make a standout great Bond. Killing Strangers in particular has that sound to it - to me at least, the title sequence animates itself in my head.
