I've read both Nailed and Mything in Action. Both very interesting. I've never been a believer but I always supposed their may have been an actual, historical figure around which the myth was based. The more I've read into the matter, however, the less likely I think that is given the lack of credible evidence outside the Bible.
Can't get enough Fitzgerald (or Carrier, or Gleason or . . .) A few weeks ago, got David's new book, Vol. II that is, Playing Good. This volume was about Judaism and Christianity. But I found out that Vol. I (which I then got) deals a lot of background on the Old Testament - recommend both.
thank you for this conversation, very enjoyable and validating. The JW's could never give a good explanation for dinosaurs either or how humans were making cave art some 11,000 years before Adam and Eve were created.
Keep repeating that to yourself. History changed because of Christianity, if He didn't exist, why would the followers be letting themselves be martyred because of something they knew it was a lie?
There really isn’t much evidence for any first century martyrdoms. There are some much later traditions about almost everyone mentioned in the New Testament, of course, but historically worthless.
@@atgred people die for untrue things all the time. There are plenty of people who gave their lives willingly in mass sacrifices to Central American gods of old like Quetzalcoatl. Ooh, was randomly searching for some new David Fitzgerald after his appearance on History Valley and am very happy this popped up!
Terrific! Thanks for watching.

I concur. Thanks for watching and for supporting David's work.

Thanks, Chris

There are definitely many things that don't add up. Thanks for watching!
You gotta love it that David's kindle books sell for $6.66.
LOL! That's PERFECT.

A lot of anecdotes, but no tangible evidence provided to prove your unproven claim.
