Jim and Bessie were wonderful mentors to my wife and me both before and after we got married. I've often asked myself "what would they have done" in this or that situation. Thanks for sharing some of their parenting methods.

Thank you. My parents didn’t spank, and there were 8 of us...no, I think my Dad did eventually try, as the 4 boys came after the 4 girls...but he was a scout master, and they both did their best, and we knew it. Good memories, God bless you.

Delayed Obedience is sometimes, especially when simply procrastinating, DisObedience. But, do not forget what The MASTER Said about the two Son's of the Father who told them to go out n work. The one said 'no', the other 'yes', and "which one went out later after procrastinating]] and Obeyed?", Asks The MASTER.

@austinrothjr I apologize for not properly appraising the value of your perceived entertainment in communication.
Some folks communicate for the sake of exchanging ideas. Weighing the validity of such ideas and considering opposing views.
Nothing to see here NPC. Please return to your preferred echo-chamber.

@@bradleydel4810 🥱 Sorry. I meant boring as in tiresome and disinteresting. You aren’t as clever as you think you are. Your original comment brought literally nothing new to the conversation. It wasn’t illuminating, thought provoking or challenging. So, yeah. Boring.
I actually have some smart abolitionist friends. I’m open to it. Just seems like the arguments have run out and I’m unconvinced for now. I also don’t appreciate bloviating, so I don’t think you have much to win here.

Not much has changed since ‘96 I see. Very clever indeed sir 🥇! Great way to “take a shot” while “avoiding” return fire from a “certain audience” 😅. Great play! 🫡
