Very emotional video .Sardarji is very lucky to see his maternal /motherland in Pakistan. My Grandfather with his family used to live in District. Bahaval Pur in Pakistan before 1948.He was govt. employee in Revenue Deptt. They often used to tell me about Pakistan .Those memories still haunt me.
Bahawalpur was a Princely State from 1609 to 1955. In 1955 the state was incorporated into the province of West Pakistan. The Nawab of Bahawalpur helped Pakistan during the first years of independence by paying the first salary of the civil servants and also donated numerous buildings to Pakistan. The Nawabs residence in Delhi was confiscated by the Indian govt when he joined Pakistan and today serves as an art institute (see Bahawalpur house).
