I would also love to hear your thoughts on how and when to introduce a magic system in a novel. Personally, I have introduced mine incrementally; allowing the reader to process the effects and implications of each as the story progresses. I found that doing this actually adds depth and tension to the evolving story arc and plot, since the reader is both learning, and trying to figure out alongside the protagonist, how to solve a given problem.

That would be a good one for sure. I added that to my list of requests for future video topics

Yes, the little book of magic ideas lol, I have one of those, handy indeed, my friend gave it to me, and I thought meh I not going to use it. Yes I'm starting to have to use it, to reference all the Tidbits, I have written about earlier having to re-reference stuff later on, and ideas that just pop up or in some sort of research of pulling in historical accounts of names to borrow from, to make more seed shards plots perhaps to use at some time point in the story, to grow out from the main crystal seed.
Yes, the Magic lawyer and the secrets of the law society, and perhaps where your main Character, comes across an estate sale buys an old Judges desk sets off to restore it, and finds the hidden compartment, spawning the seed crystal beginnings. As it began in the Fae realm this desk is actually a living spirit, that has been in hibernation as a seed desk, much like a Tree-spirit or Tree-in, which could have such things as a virtual library or courtroom where you practice deliveries, and argue against the AI of law. If only I were a lawyer, the prerequisite for naming things is easy to come when storytelling. Any way just love the videos!!!

I read your comment before I left for the outing to the store for smokes and for a lotto I won $10., I was pondering what else to add for growth like I added my volumes of the Hardy Boys and a bunch of my volumes of the Encyclopedia kid who would local crimes with his sheriff father, similar to Perry Mason & staff TV series which to borrow plots from. Or perhaps it was Sherlock Holmes. And from the Mana well closet stepped out 2 young men who were then asked for tasks of investigating my case, I immediately got them acquainted and set up, They had many spells in the arts of investigation. The Encyclopedia kid and his FBI father/mother wanted me to join them over a D&D game, his mother had adopted him, as she was still younger and quite attractive I pondered the offer from the other day at our little run-in, as they had moved in recently to the area., etc. As your team begins to manifest itself before your sense realizes it. Well by all means run with it, lol I just throwing random ideas at the open door of the closet. Or Perhaps it animates and produces a character that combines various aspects from various detectives and produces the Scott Detective from Scotland Yard itself? Well, I hope that helps someone out there in the fog of war.@@themagicengineer5314

It's on my list of things to look into. I'm sure it's far simpler than I'm building it up to be in my head, but I haven't gotten to it yet

Thanks! I've been doing the livestreams only to learn that UA-cam doesn't treat it the same as other kinds of content. So here we are :)

Are 'seed crystals' originaly from a magic system that used literal seed crystals? Or is this just a term you came up with?
