Indigenous Voice to Parliament is 'just wrong': Tony Abbott

  • Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott says remote Australia has kids not going to school with adults not working and a Voice to Parliament is “yet another bureaucracy” not going to help the real issues as “it’s just wrong”.
“There are certainly big problems but creating another bureaucracy isn’t going to help,” Mr Abbott told Sky News host Gary Hardgrave.
“This idea that yet another meeting in Canberra, yet another bureaucracy in Canberra is somehow going to get the kids to school, the adults to work and the community safe.
    “It’s just wrong.”

It’s been that way for a while the thing is most aboriginal people don’t understand how to take advantage of the privileges that have been given to them. I am part indigenous myself and have worked in a land council in Brisbane in the early 2000’s, most “Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders” were not even aboriginal and only identified. We wasted thousands of dollars on pointless programs etc that never helped anyone. The white aboriginal employees all seemed to buy themselves and their families brand new cars and they owned homes while the ones who actually needed help and were indigenous got nothing

I look at it this way...would it be reasonable to only recognise australia's anglo-celtic population, based on the fact that they created the nation of australia, brought the native occupants into the modern world and unified them from a mass of kinship tribes into one people, and created the very constitution that we were to amend? On top of that, should they have complete say over who can and cannot go to certain parts of the country? Should every public event, meeting and media broadcast have to include a recognition of that anglo-celtic heritage?
I think that might cause a bit of an outcry, but that is exactly what is on the table from Albanese for the aboriginal.

THE EUREKA FLAG and the OZ CITIZEN YOU!
This is my statement from the Heart ❤️..
For being an only son of an emigrant settler’s family to Australia I believe I am entitled to a right to publicly call upon all non indigenous Australians across the Australian landscape to join my call to rescue the EUREKA FLAG from Australia’s historical dark and give the EUREKA FLAG a new light of day by having it posted alongside the already three flag display now being posted in Australia’s National Parliament.
Why? So the EUREKA FLAG can become an emigrants settlers identity flag displayed in a state of equality with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islands identity flags now currently posted in the three flag only display assembly posted in Australia’s National Parliament..
The posting of the EUREKA FLAG in the parliament would expand the three flag parliamentary flag display to a four flag parliamentary display to make the flag display in Australia’s National Parliament politically correct..
The posting of the EUREKA FLAG to become the emigrant settler citizens identity flag is quite frankly not an altogether stupid idea.
The EUREKA FLAG made of woven cloth and stitched together by needle and cotton by the hands of emigrant settlers is truthfully the very first emigrant settlers citizens flag posted in Australia.
The EUREKA FLAG of 1854 is the carrier of the🩸blood stains of 27 emigrant settlers who were murdered by the Crown.
I want all non indigenous Australians to appreciate that you are staring at your right to stand up for principle.
    This is the principle.
If the Australian Parliament thinks it is appropriate and good enough to post only two indigenous citizens identity flags in a three flag posting in your National Parliament House then equally your Parliament should also find it appropriate and good enough to post and allow an emigrant settlers citizens flag to be posted alongside the current three flag display in your Parliament House.
And that citizens identity flag can only ever be the first EUREKA FLAG..
    Non indigenous Australians..
Don’t miss this opportunity to join my call and breath fresh life into EUREKA FLAG across the land of Australia by restoring the EUREKA FLAG to a rightful place so it can also be treated with dignity, honour and respect for being the first emigrant settlers flag ever to be posted in Australia.
Make your call loud and clear and take no rest until your emigrant settlers citizen identity flag has been posted correctly in its rightful place in your Parliament House.
