Had a Westie for 14 years and he was a great dog. He passed away in July and my father who's a pretty stoic man cried at the vet and said he lost his shadow. They are wonderful dogs so much personality.
No way, this is curiosity. He is now 3,5 years old and loves when he's pic is taken or you are filming him ;) And the thing he loves most is when you show him these videos!
James is is so adorable! He also looks like he could be a twin of my Westie Wylie. Wylie is our third Westie. Once you've had a Westie and learn about "Westietude," you'll never want to be without this breed of dog. All of ours were girls, including Wylie. She is seven years old and still plays like a puppy, but we learned how to speak "Westie," so she minds very well.
@@777akm Aw - that hurts my heart for you so much! I just discovered your channel today, saw when this was made, and I was hoping he was still with you. Mine survived eight months of chemo for lung cancer before he passed away last August. The doctor could not get over how resilient he was and said that he really must love me to keep hanging on. I'm so sorry that you lost your sweet pup. 😔
They are resilient indeed! I do think he was hanging in there for you or because of you which shows something about you and your heart. 😇❤️ This channel is just a place where I used to share clips for friends to see what I had filmed and then I didn't share anything for many years but never took the old videos down and so every now and then when I have time to cut something together from the massive amount of material I have accumulated, I upload a clip. Wish I would have filmed more with my Westie, how I figured out how to trim and cut his coat etc.
I lost my Jed last year he was only 11. He had a great life and we had some amazing adventures but it's never the right time to lose your best friend. His sister is still alive and acting like a puppy still. I also could not considering another breed of dog after experiencing the love and companionship of these dogs. But it will be a long time before I feel ready to own another one. RIP Jed-son Ra!
This little one will be 11yrs old now. How is he doing?? All good I hope. I love Westies ❤ He looks just like our Westie when he was the same age. Our Rocco is 2yrs old. Westies are amazing little things.
@@777akm Oh no!! That makes me sad to hear :(. But he lived a long life. My cat passed the past year at around 20 years old also due to infection. Now I have my GSD who turned 11 and his very younger brother my Westie.
Very sad yes, they have a way to wrap themselves around your heart and when they go it rips your heart to pieces, doesn't matter that we know they'll most likely go before us. I have a little Jack Russell also ua-cam.com/video/hSLF9fpUZJo/v-deo.html , about 8 years old now, hopefully he'll stick around many more years. Weirdly enough I don't even like small dogs that much but somehow these 2 have been acting nothing like small dogs, maybe that's why I love them so much. That Westie was bigger than life, gentleman in every sense, and so smart... RIP darling! ❤️❤️❤️
I have had Westies for 30 years Jenny and they have been like " Surrogate" children for me. I bever lasted more than 2/3 weeks without getting a new one ( or 4 ! ) when one passed as it filled the void and stopped me dwelling on losing one of my " babies". I hope you, as a great owner, have/will give a new dog a very loving home !

Aw Shirley, my sweet Westie passed away last August as well. I still think about him every day.

No, unfortunately he died few months ago. He had got some foot infection and due to age he never managed to heal. 😢
