Hi heart, Your videos are the reason I started witchcraft again. For some reason, I always put this side of me aside and ignored it, but thanks to you, I started to accept my witch side. blessings from Turkey.
I hope this isn't creepy but I took a peep at your witchy Playlist and I reccomend you check out Ivy the Occultist as well! I only listen to a select few witches, some are included in your Playlist so I figured you might be interested 😊🖤
If you can get pure beeswax candles, these are the best for cleansing the air. Somehow they cause all the negative ions to fall to the floor. I adore the smell, and don’t forget to offer gratitude at this time, to the bees, to the fortunes of the past year, and to “bury” or as you said, burn your troubles. As to food, I include at least one ingredient that I grew myself, and share more than I eat on that day. May you be blessed and thank you for this. The tree motif on your altar is beautiful.
This channel was recommended on resources page of Reddit community for "baby witches." I've been binge watching your vids ever since. You certainly don't ever need to be nervous or feeling any sort of negativity towards yourself of either procrastination, or making the vids in general. They are amazing, you keep doing well at what you do. I love this content there's so much information out there. One of the few witchy-related content UA-cam channels that gives so much information on current day & past history on all this stuff, and breaks it down in simple ways. You even go into detail about how you can basically dyi it, if you don't have the funds or if family might find it disrespectful/disgraceful. Thank God my mom doesn't. I haven't told dad, and told her not to mention it yet, but grandma I said was fine too, she loves this stuff!! Both mom and I, as well as grandma, love the Halloween season. It's our favorite time of year out of everything, &n they've certainly gotten me into the ritual yearly practice of binge watching new and old horror movies, coming up with new ways to decorate, and shopping for bunches of candy. Now that I'm a Witchy in practice, it will be even more meaningful and much more fun celebrating this year! I've even asked my mom just today if we could get some more easy to use pumpkin carving tools so I could start to carve my own pumpkins (and not just paint them haha!!) I have an entire list of beginners witchcraft/wiccan vids and most of them are filled up with yours. I've even have sent a couple to my mom for her to look at as well. Keep up the amazing content, it's so helpful!!! pleassseee leave more of what you just did at the end, it's so cute and I LOVE it!!! People always question and look at me strange when I make noises during stretching and I"m not sure why, because plenty of people do it. That was obviously my favorite part of it, and i literally do that same squeal, and let out a large ass sigh of sorts😅😅😅 Oh... and also? I'm also a pasty white a*** b**!!!! 💯💯💯 ✅✅I'm not even white, I'm half black but my skin is literally so white and it's not even fair that i can't tan as easily anymore even when I do spend time outside😆😆😆😆😅
I’m glad you gave the warning about being careful. Years ago as a solitary practitioner on Samhain I tried calling in my deceased dad, but another spirit showed up. After tormenting me for days, I had to ask for help from a witch who gave me the know how to dispel this spirit and cleanse the home. This scared me so much that I gave up the practice. I like your tree of life.
I've only considered myself a witch for a little over a year. Last year I didn't feel confident enough to do anything to celebrate. This year I feel called to rest and connect with fire. So I'll be having a bonfire with some friends after having a nice restful day. I'm also going to be doing a bit of cleansing beforehand.
I'm fairly new to paganism and not in a position where I can celebrate much but I can disguise my samhain celebrations luckily so this year I'm carving fruits and vegetables such as turnips, pumpkins, and other large harvestables, I'll be praying and hopefully doing some spirit work and spells with my bf who isn't pagan but is very supportive. Unfortunately I can't have an alter but I'm going to try to make my display outside the home work as one.
I love how many times she's said pumpkin while I'm planning how I'm going to decorate a pumpkin for a competition at work. But, on a different note, amazing video. Love how much detail you give.
What a wonderful video once again! I am still fairly new to practicing witchcraft, but I have been celebrating the Wheel of the Year for a long time now and I have to say that Samhain is also my favourite Sabbath, together with Beltane :D Happy Samhain everyone!
When I invite the ancestors I don't invoke any specific names, because I don't want to compel anyone unwilling to come. After I've cast the circle and raised the elements, I invite "all ancestors who come in love and peace", as well as "spirits of place" to evoke and honor local deities. And the goddess and god of course.
Hi Hearth I have just discovered your how to celebrate Samhain, and so grateful for everything you have said. The brightest of Samhain blessings to you.
I’m prepping some Samhain dinner dishes and desserts this year. Cooking and baking has become a time for me to ground myself and put in my love and magick into meals. And of course sharing some of my meals with my ancestors.
Same for me! No celebration is complete without food and Samhain is just the right time for homemade pumpkin pie served with a drizzle of rum caramel. Approved by both the living and the dead
This year im treating myself to a new wand:-()! Been practicing the craft for so many years and "30 plus years". And this will be my very first wand, i feel like a baby witch again. Love your videos.
Watching this again ready for spooky season! Soooo much info! Amazing, the end out take films are always so good and bring the light hearted human touch, and remind me if my own procrastination (thank goodness for predictive text.. no way I could spell that... ) Thanks Hearth!
I placed Hearth's channel on a 'to listen' list for a friend's daughter who became interested in this path. I offered 4 channels, for a well balanced study. As a young woman who enjoys reading I told her Hearth's book reviews are the absolute best!
I love the orange shadow. This year I am moving into a more stable place around the end of the month. I have been waiting for the place to be ready since March. Since I will be packing and moving the week of the 31st I am doing all my Samhain celebrating now. My altar is decked in blue, green, and red. Colors I am feeling this Sabbat. I have angel aura quartz, rainbow moonstone, sunset sodalite and a mookaite jasper egg on the altar. I have my runes and crystal ball out. And I have a small box set aside for ancestors, the top of this box features my grandmother's hand mirror and a fox skull. Have a wonderful holiday!
Thank you Hearth, I am new to wiccan practices and I'm trying to learn about the sabbats. Your videos have been helpful, your Mabon video gave me a great explanation about how to celebrate the holiday emotionally and clear out old things while being grateful for what we received during the year. It actually really helped me with my seasonal depression and I am adjusting to the cold much better than I have in previous years and have been much less depressed from you and Mabons message to let go. Blessings!! ♥️♥️🍂🌠🍁
I've been chewing over what to do for ages then inspiration struck; my day will be a sort of expansion of my current spiritual practice; so a daily card plus a three card spread; will make suitable biscuits and probably a fresh batch of butter; hopefully I'll get up before the sun and have a candlelit bath instead of a quick shower; a nice dinner and a good fire with some candles later. We used to go to the Boscastle Dark Gathering and loved it, but we'll be at home this year and I'd like to have that feeling I got in Boscastle of being at one with the ancestors, seeing the starlit night sky and knowing that this was the end of another year. Lovely stuff!
Excellent video, It felt so natural like chatting with an old friend. Im learning more about this and I could understand everything she said, it was very nice to watch. I think this was a good video for baby witches and experienced people. Happy Samhain
I love Samhain. It's one of my favorite sabbaths. I usually light a candle for my ancestors and communicate even more with the spirits I already work with the entire year, on Samhain. It's the perfect holiday to appreciate the spirits... I always appreciate them, but on Samhain, I try to enjoy them a little more and especially those spirits I knew in life :) Today I purchased a regular Halloween skull with candy in it, and I will use it when contacting my ancestors that are unknown. It's a regular Halloween skull made out of plastic, but it's red (represents love) and it's a good size, pretty big, and I just felt I could use it. I got the idea from your video on ancestor altars. Thank you for your work with this channel. It's very appreciated!
I am not a witch, but maybe I am allowed to ask this question as it is of real interest to me: Does anyone on here have experiences in or knowledge of people who were adopted and wanted to set up an altar for their ancestors? If so: Is it common then to choose the „real“ bloodline, or do they choose their new family and (so to speak) adopt those ancestors as their own, when they set up an altar? Thank you for your answers and suggestions!
@@valumen This is a year late and I’m not sure if you’ve already answered this question, but ancestor altars aren’t only for bloodline ancestors, you can celebrate the ancestors of your adopted family (if you get along), friends who have passed, pets, or even people you feel connected to like a famous person!
I love all of your videos ❤thank you so much for this. This is my first time celebrating Samhain. I’m still a bit uneasy about working with spirits especially at this time. Blessed Samhain ❤
I'm finally in a good living situation, and I'm able to burn a candle nightly in a lantern outside my front door in order to guide spirits. I also hang witch balls at windows and corners of the home.
Thank you for All your information. This is my first year truly celebrating Samhain as intended. I’m still a baby witch but I’ve learned so much and improved my craft a lot over the last year as a whole. And a lot of thanks to your videos 🖤🖤
I'm so looking forward to Samhain🖤 Can't wait for this feeling of the veil at its thinnest✨👀 it's like you can breathe the magic from the first step outside the door & wherever you go from there 👻❤️✨
I Loved The Samhain Mystery Box from The Witch’s Heart ❤️ Thank You for Your Videos You are the reason I openly Practice now And I Thank You so much for that Embracing my Witch & Magical side has changed my life 🎃👻🖤
Definitely doing some divination work and candle magic. I love lighting candles during this time of year and yule. So lovely and romantic and cozy. Probably gonna bake cookie and eat lots of candy with my children.
This is very informative and just learning perspective to find my own craft. Alwyn Oak is my first inspiration and Hearth is inspiration to home and self cleansing.
Thank you hearth for these videos I have been practicing for a few years and I do the paper burning and candle lighting for family members that have passed i also light a jack o lantern for my celebration
Samhain is an Irish celebration from the fire festival wheel there are two we celebrate it was adapted into Wicca but it isn’t Wiccan technically sorry if I seem assy but knowledge is power
I often can’t do a lot because of my health but I enjoy cooking and found some easy but tasty recipes to make! I’m going to make a spicy chili and pumpkin bruschetta! Yummy!!! And I’ll do somewhat of dum supper by my ancestral altar (I can’t celebrate it at the table whenever I want because the ppl I live with go to bed early) but I’ll make a plate for them to set by their altar. I also have a necklace that is to remember and honor the ancestors so I will charge it on that night with the 4 elements. The last thing I plan on doing is making a list of top questions for the year and use my pendulum to ask my ancestors those questions. I’m very excited to celebrate! Thanks for sharing your tips and ideas!
A little late for this video, but Samhain is my favorite time of year, so I had to watch! I'm definitely taking this Samhain to relax as part of my work vacation, so no stress for me this Samhain!
As a Druid I work with my ancestors all the time,my altar is just a shelf on a bookcase with photos of my ancestors,a t light candle, an insence stick and an offering bowl, that's it,I don't feel I need anything else for my working practices
A neighbor of mine got their children some larger LED candles, along with wooden bases, and just let the children decorate them as they saw fit...that could easily be done by anyone I like Halloween because the temperature is more comfortable, humidity has dropped, and the leaves are changing colors....here, anyway ( central Kentucky)...
Even as Catholics we incorporated a lot of these themes into our year- we had All Saints Day and All Souls Day first of November. We honored our loved ones who’d passed before us. Samhain’s my favorite, I still look forward to it each year 🍎🎃💀
Good morning in Minneapolis Minnesota it is going to be 70° today maybe 75°F it’s already 64° I just went for a drive with all the windows down and we still have beautiful red on the trees of yellow it’s absolutely fabulous I was able to get some more leaves off my Hyssop. I made a Travalini squash style soup last week use some herbs from my garden and some tomatoes from my garden. Also first time ever making a herb rosemary olive oil asiago cheese bread with zucchini so it’s been a kitchen which in my whole front yard is completely decorated in Halloween just so much gratitude what are you been doing preparing for the eclipse in two days. 🕯
I've always felt pressured by the (self) expectation to perform rituals around Samhain and other holidays, so permission to rest and recuperate is appreciated.;) Spirit communication has been a special interest of mine my entire life but in my experience they can and do lie. I stopped doing EVP research 20 years ago because so many of the messages were threatening and/or nonsensical, and it was impossible to know who or what the source was. I collect Ouija and spirit boards but mostly use them as tools for entertainment, and I don't allow fear which is why I've never had a negative experience. I will try to help spirits cross over but if they have ties to my home and want to stay I acknowledge and welcome them.
I don't know what I would call myself, but I have always loved this time of year. It makes sense to me now why I look into it. I'd love if anyone can show me the path to more.
Blessed be Lady Hearth. How goes? I'd like to thank you again for these videos. I learn so much from each one. And by the way, your advice on elemental manifestation worked wonderfully. From all that I am, thank you, your grace. Happy Samhain and meet. Love and light to you. 🌹🧙♀️✨🎃
I can't remember if it was you or another youtuber who said to release something or someone write their name or the thing on toilet paper, wipe yourself after a more solid visit (if you catch my drift, I'm trying to be delicate here) and flesh it down the loo. this is my favourite for things and people I REALLY want gone 😁
I love the music you used on the part where you were setting up the Samhain altar! it reminded me of the song Arirang Alone by SoHyang. such a beautiful song!
I’m in the US, so Halloween is big here a bit more so on decorating and parties than some other places and not many people call it Samhain. Long before I was looking into the craft, I started a public event at my house/property which has spread a bunch in the following years. It’s pretty much a major production now for us that takes over a month to set up beforehand. We end up with around 400 people in our little town attending, and there’s a bunch of food and drink involved. I have zero time to celebrate actual Samhain the way witches do unfortunately. Most of the time I’m running around in a frazzled state trying to get everything done in time and on the day of the 31st, there’s so much to do even with several helpers. I’m still decorating right up to the day and dragging out Halloween props and animatronics into the garden that aren’t weatherproof so can’t go out in advance. I always hear about the veil thinning, about honoring the dead etc. I felt bad because I don’t have time to think of it usually. This thing kind of took on a life of its own and it got bigger than us. I didn’t realize how popular it would get in my community or how it would grow into this whole thing. I don’t have a great family to honor when I think of the deceased but I did have a very good friend who passed away too young with so much unfinished business. Is it inappropriate or incorrect to honor a friend instead of family? My family has been fairly horrible to be honest. They are a toxic warring clan who do nothing but tear each other down at every chance. I don’t have much time to honor my friend but I could take her framed photo and put it out into the public space with a jar candle by it. Because I would have to leave it unattended while I work, a jar candle would be safest. Is that a good way to show her that I still love her? Would she even see it or would she just be with her family instead? She had a baby when she died suddenly and unexpectedly. Her child has been raised by the woman her husband married after she passed. Her brother and father is her only other living family she had left and her dad was actually at my house Halloween night celebrating with us at our event. I don’t know if he’ll be back next year or not.
Hi Hearth, pressure sensor balloons are nice if you can't leave a candle out or it's raining. As soon as you fill them with air, they are lit. Package says 15 hours of light but I've seen them last 2-3 days. Orange is really pretty with these dark black/blue night skies.
This will be my first Samhain celebration! I was wondering how I should celebrate, as a closeted witch, and started to get curious about lighting candles for the dead. Naturally now have a few questions. My biggest question is if I can light a candle for dead animals? Like my dog who passed away when I was young. Or people who have never known me, but I know of them? Thanks for the help in advance!
Thank you HearthWitch for making this interesting video. I am going to a spiritual service on the eve of the 31st October. As it is a Halloween theme on Zoom, we have been asked to dress up facially at least. Then the mediums present will be connecting to spirits and passing on messages to loved ones in the room. That is par for the course though for The Centre Of The Open Heart based in San Francisco.
Dear Beautiful Girl, Don't strain yourself to put out 2 videos a week if your life calls you elsewhere. We don't want you to burn-out, One is plenty. Thank you for all you do. For Halloween, I'm going to make a supper for my long departed parents because I'm lonely and miss them. Looking forward to it! Afterwards I'll read my tarot cards.
Hi Hearth! I really enjoy your videos :) You mentioned in the last Q&A about the large shade that crouches & watches you. I've heard quite a few things about shades or shadow beings, but don't really know what they are exactly or how they differ from the spirits of the deceased. Could you discuss them at some point? Maybe in a witchy chat vid? Are they perhaps more like djinn? And is there any folklore from a particular region about them that I could look into? Thanks!
Some ancestor work is on the docket for me. My kids have asked to do some sort of ofrenda. They want our cat and their great Grammy to come visit, and I’d love to do something for my great grandmother as well!
I have always asked myself how food offernigs work. I usually offer things that "disappear" on their own, like liquids. But what do you do with the food after the offering? And how do you know the deity or spirit is ready for me to take it away?
I always wonder this! I often use natural offerings like plants of flowers and return them to nature, but I have no idea what you do with food offerings and no one ever seems to mention that!
@Cate Smith My understanding is that if the offering has sat for 24 hours, then you can clear it away (put it in compost, etc.) Don't eat a food offering that you have given to ancestors/the dead. However, you can leave the food offering for several days if it is not going to become mouldy or rotten in that time. Just clear it away before it goes bad.
Hi heart, Your videos are the reason I started witchcraft again. For some reason, I always put this side of me aside and ignored it, but thanks to you, I started to accept my witch side. blessings from Turkey.

This is very informative and just learning perspective to find my own craft. Alwyn Oak is my first inspiration and Hearth is inspiration to home and self cleansing.
I can't wait to do this specific spell. It's a little naughty, but Halloween is the perfect time.
Thank you hearth for these videos I have been practicing for a few years and I do the paper burning and candle lighting for family members that have passed i also light a jack o lantern for my celebration
Thank you very much for the video. I continue to learn a lot from your videos
Like so many of us, Samhain is my favorite!
Blessings to everyone!
Your videos are really good. Thanks for sharing your spiritual life.
I’m grateful for your video - you got nothing to worry about looks: you look beautiful like always ❤.
I don't formally practice Wicca, but feel compelled this year to connect with the ancestors and those who have passed.
Samhain is an Irish celebration from the fire festival wheel there are two we celebrate it was adapted into Wicca but it isn’t Wiccan technically sorry if I seem assy but knowledge is power
Not all witches are Wiccan.
@@nobodythatyouknow305I read the original Wicca books, Wiccans acknowledge and mention that it is Irish/Celtic origin.
Love your bloopers 🥰
I'm definitely taking this Samhain to relax as part of my work vacation, so no stress for me this Samhain!
i love the bloopers at the end feels less scripted and sorta funny but i wanna say the video looks awsome over all hearth
As a Druid I work with my ancestors all the time,my altar is just a shelf on a bookcase with photos of my ancestors,a t light candle, an insence stick and an offering bowl, that's it,I don't feel I need anything else for my working practices
LOVE THE MAKEUP!!! 🧡🖤🧡🖤
Beautiful O^O love the bloopers
A neighbor of mine got their children some larger LED candles, along with wooden bases, and just let the children decorate them as they saw fit...that could easily be done by anyone
I like Halloween because the temperature is more comfortable, humidity has dropped, and the leaves are changing colors....here, anyway ( central Kentucky)...
this is perfect 💗 can't wait to celebrate it :)
lately I've been interested in neopagan holidays and I just added Samhain in my calendar and now this is the first thing that popped up on YT💀
Thank you for this video. I am a Druid, not a witch, but this is a very helpful guide for both traditions. So well done :-)
I love you sing your issues... I think you are terrific!
great video & your sp00ky aesthetic is lovely 🖤🧡 happy Samhain to all! xx
also I really love the black moon blanket in the background!! do you remember where you got it from by chance?
Wonderful video!
I don't know what I would call myself, but I have always loved this time of year. It makes sense to me now why I look into it. I'd love if anyone can show me the path to more.
Lovely video & channel(: And I love your make up!
Samhain and Yule are my favorites but I love them all.
Damn 😂😂😂
Thank you I'm quite new witch so thank you for your videos
Thanks for the info ❤
This is my first time celebrating it🖤
Hi Hearth, pressure sensor balloons are nice if you can't leave a candle out or it's raining. As soon as you fill them with air, they are lit. Package says 15 hours of light but I've seen them last 2-3 days. Orange is really pretty with these dark black/blue night skies.
LOVE your channel and your hair color
This will be my first Samhain celebration! I was wondering how I should celebrate, as a closeted witch, and started to get curious about lighting candles for the dead. Naturally now have a few questions. My biggest question is if I can light a candle for dead animals? Like my dog who passed away when I was young. Or people who have never known me, but I know of them? Thanks for the help in advance!
Same here.
Every time I see Samhain, I cannot help but think of when the doc in Halloween pronounced it the way it's spelt
Thanks Hearth, Love You 😍, Happy Samhain 🎃
Your content is so good if you can only post once a week that's fine with me!
Thanks!
Helpful video!
Happy samhain beautiful and blessed be
you struggling with the lighting was so funny to me lol 🖤
Some ancestor work is on the docket for me. My kids have asked to do some sort of ofrenda. They want our cat and their great Grammy to come visit, and I’d love to do something for my great grandmother as well!
Happy Halloween 🎃
love your ear rings
Love your suggestions & teachings.🦉🪶🕯✨🎃🌹🍁💌🇨🇦
Well hello video I've been waiting for!! 👀👀✨
