After the victorious crossing of the sea of Reeds by Moses and the Jews, he took all the men and sung/danced in one place while Miriam took her tambourine and led the women in another place. That was the norm which Jews live by. No mixing of genders for men are easily destructed and can't focus themselves to G-D. Jewish women are not to be filmed/ shown in public but they are around in adjacent halls celebrating as well. This is called modesty which G-d is very concerned about. Unfortunately the rest of the world has lost it.
