- The strongest tournament start ever! 👋 The first part of the tournament eliminations for PunchDown 3 - Slapfighting Championship, in which 16 elite players competed for the title of the new PunchDown Champion and the main prize of PLN 30,000!
Apart from the PunchDown 2 Slapping Champion - Dawid "Zaleś" Zalewski, the slapfighting tournament was also attended by the Russian slapfighting Champion Vasily "The Dumpling" Kamotsky (Vasily Kamotskiy, Пельмень) and Polish Strongman - Artur "Waluś" Walczak.

Table is too wide. Some slappers were at a disadvantage.
This was on purpose. For safety of competitors. Almost everyone 100kg+. This is some kind of sport. Not the hunger Games.
But yeah. Shorter opponents has disadvantage.
It was explained in the original Punch Down tournament. Although their explanation doesn't make very much sense. Their explanation was that the width of the table will magically prevent knockouts. Which isn't the case at all. There are rules about where you should slap the face. So if there was no table, you should still only be slapping in the same area. Their solution tends to only put shorter armed individuals at a disadvantage.
The judges look like they dont know how to take information down
@@ZkarpZ thats a bullshit explanation. there are enough guys with long enough arms who have no problem with the table, doesnt change a thing for them. you just fk over the short arm guys.

Those tables are WAY too broad. Some of the contenders can just about reach the opponent with their fingers while leaning forward. A real slap has to deliver its might with the palm.

it's not really the table, some of the guys can't get closer to the table because szaszłyk and wódka
A slap is upper palm and the fingers, what you're describing is more like a palm strike which isn't a slap and is a huge problem with some who compete in these. I feel the wider table is there to help prevent that.

The whole time the other guy is actually slapping, such an absolute joke. SlapFIGHT championship on youtube seems to be a much better promotion with rules etc but still has some bs going on.

I get the feeling it's intentional so they're almost forced to do an actual slap instead of a palm strike to the jaw because they're having to stretch slightly over the table. Seems unlikely it's an oversight considering the production.

@@Lolp821 Some players have a significant advantage based on their height and reach. So some can actually use their palms. For this to work effectively. They would need to make many tables or something different that is suitable and fair for the other contestants to get out their best slaps.

The table needs to be adjusted according to the reach of the opponents. Otherwise one has an advantage of the other if the other can't reach you which is what we saw in about 2 cases here.
