Watching your videos recently gave me the courage to finally fix my Xbox 360 gaming console that’s been broken now for nearly a decade. Had to swap the actual pcb board from the old dvd drive to the new one in the fix which included soldered connections for the drive motor. I might not have even tried if you didn’t make electronics repair look so darn interesting and cool. Thanks for what you do man!

EZ fix. I was worried the pot was too tall and wouldn’t make it in da hole. Thanks for sharing

Great video. I'm surprised the client wouldn't have preferred to go with a matching non-fender-branded knob... there are tons of them online for cheap.

Rule 1. Always flow in new solder to the old solder to make removing the old solder easier...
Rule 2. Always finish that song... LOL That is a great song Paul...
    Thanks for the video!

Good video lot of people don't know what's inside these amplifiers and they need to see it.
A lot of amplifiers they're in the same cabinet with the speakers so they're subject to massive vibration if you can imagine this guy brought me his amplifier to fix it basically since it was an intermittent connection we're mostly work but as you played it and made all this racket noise cutting in and out I eventually had to solder every connection on the circuit board when I did that the thing worked perfect three years later I seen him hey is that amp still working he goes yeah it's still working.

One loose joint can sound terrible and be hard to find

We're starting a trend. Hopefully, UA-cam likes lots of comments, no matter what they say. Still, there's nothing quite like going to a video that says "Uploaded 1 second ago".

Good job on the repair, by the way, and the testing was a fun tune!

Good idea refreshing the old solder with new, makes it much easier to remove.
Lucky it's not a double sided board, they can be a bit more finicky.
Memorializing the repair and testing on UA-cam protects you from any issues that could arise later.

That's the problem with some repairs. You can spend an hour taking it apart to do a 5 min replacement job, and an hour putting it back together again. :)

Those Amplifier have problem with the high wattage resistors. Some people change them for bigger watts or even put a small fan in there, those resistors tend burn and fry something. Changing them for bigger one is a preventing measure.

If the genuine part snapped off, maybe order better parts as replacements :)

I understand why they have to build them that way. I don't have to like it. I guess that's just more money for the folks that don't mind working on pcb amps.

Solder sucker 90% of the time. I've lifted far too many overheated tracks with a wick.
On the other hand, it seriously sucks to suck an SMD inside a stupid solder sucker. (try saying that 5 times really fast, lol)

Original Fender part my ass! Fender screwed you, or your supplier did. The volume pot is totally different! You would have done better by visually ordering the same pert instead of this missmatched monster! :)
