- Second time trying to upload this. Made a mistake last time. This is a simple to medium watercolour tutorial of a colourful village scene.

Mike shows what color can do to atmosphere and mood in wc. Effect is emphasized by the use of simple and well-understood forms and a limited palate. No abdabs, no frufru. Mostly one brush, five colors. Painting is a simple thing, but the idea behind it always drives it and determines where it will go. We look forward to these videos.

I love your down-to-earth style of painting. It keeps me from going and getting new supplies. It is so easy to think I need fancier supplies, but you show what is possible with mostly essentials. I’m grateful for the reminder that it’s the act that makes us better and not endless spending on fancy supplies and every color they make. 💕

I first found 'Quirky Houses' earlier this year and immediately fell in love with your style! I am learning watercolor via UA-cam videos, since 2019. I've learned much and continue to learn and practice daily. My only goal is to hobby paint, as it is very relaxing to me. Another artist to look at is Tim Wilmott, he paints very loose and they are so effective. Yes my accent is so strong haha I now live in Somerset and my accent sets me apart from the locals. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I adore your art. I'm a newbie and need all the instruction I can get. I don't draw so I really appreciate being able to download sketches maybe one day. I like being able to focus on watercolor. The way you use basic colors and mix on the paper is magical... have I told you how much I love your style...lol I have not been to your website but that's my next stop. I would like to put in a request for at least a weekly tutorial...more if possible,please!!! It has taken almost 3 years and a ton of watercolor supplies to find my watercolor guru and so I need more...lol
