Excellent explanation about how to get the window handle off. Quadratec wanted you to purchase a tool, and one guy said it’s not hard to get the panel off and skipped the whole process. Thank you
Timely....ordered different door pulls, as the ones on our TJ models kinda stick out, which reduces the amount of space on each door side panel...the new door pulls hang downwards, taking away that rigid pull that is stock.....thanks for all your tips, and videoing the process.... they are really useful, and can be used for the jobs I can attempt to do myself.
I too just bought a TJ, and your videos are first-rate. Excellent in fact. I have learnt so much from you. Plus, I now can take my window handle off to realign it! Many thanks from DownUnder.
Perfect! I bought a rebuilt 2005 Rocky Mountain edition, one door panel is cracked and the other they used the vinyl paint (wrong color and peeling) local salvage yard had a pair that will match perfectly. Thank you for the video! Going to swing by and try and nab those panels tomorrow! 👍👍👍
Just got my 1998 TJ a year ago and one of the few things it needs are the door panels replaced, hadn't even thought of checking out the salvage yards! Thanks! And yeah, this looks so much easier to do than I was expecting, gotta love Jeeps!
Excellent video. Best one I've seen on how to properly remove a TJ door trim panel. Perhaps some day you can do one on how to replace the outer door handle.
Hey Kyle, just wanna say man your videos are really really really helpful and entertaining to watch especially as a TJ owner. Keep doing your stuff man don’t leave us you’re a fucking legend 💯
Heads up! The customer i had, must of had prior work on his jeep, or even prior to his ownership, and the last tech put the window roll handle silver clip on backwards. Thanks, other tech, by the way. 😅
Hey Kyle just got a Jeep with a soft top and half doors and I put full doors on it and I noticed that the door weather stripping doesn’t press up agains the interior was wondering if it was the same for you?
Hey do you know how get and/or replace the rubber edge that goes along the bottom of the window on the full doors? Mine is hard and brittle from someone previously bedlining the doors.
Clear, concise, and brief. Perfect. Thanks.

That did it for me. Thanks, Jeepster!!!
You said you're planning to paint with vinyl paint. Is that available at lowes or a auto supply ? thanks for your post.
I ordered them online. This is what I used and made a video using it ua-cam.com/video/qHjKl98xXxw/v-deo.html
Hi. What's the name of this tool? Idk English sorry
Do you need to take the door panel off to replace the interior rubber pull strap?
nope
Please make a video on how you refinished it. My door cards are cracked and faded
Will do!
Is this same as 2005 year??
yes
You can rotate the handle till you see the bottom of the clip then take a flathead and push it out, might need a smack with a hammer
Thanks....
Thanks!
No problem!
Leave it to jeep to make an stupidly impossible part to remove.
You gonna show painting the door???
Yes sir! When I get around to it I will
i just need to know how much that whole build cost
Which jeep?
KyleSVT the one shown here
This one was $10k and $250 for the wheels and tires I bought off a friend
