  • It has officially happened. On June 14th, 2021, I officially did my first solo flight! This was an amazing experience and I hope to do it again when I come back home from Atlanta. I want to give a shoutout to my instructor and my family for supporting me as I continue to pursue my path to becoming a pilot! This doesn't mean I am a pilot yet, I still have a long way to go. I also managed to get some third person view footage of one of my takeoffs/landings!
Shot with GoPro and edited with Adobe Rush.
    Airport: Cross Keys Airport (17N)
    Aircraft: Cessna 172N (N2148E)
    Flight Date: 6/14/21
    Song: HOME - Reasonance
NOTE: I do NOT own this song! All credit of this song belongs to their rightful and respectful owner!
LEGAL DISCLAIMER: This video was made for entertainment purposes only. The original video is fifty minutes long and decided to heavily edit these clips that were filmed in the GoPro. If you are looking for more instruction on student solo flights, traffic patterns, or becoming a pilot, contact your local flight school! Thank you!

Congratulations! Unfortunately, I have 3 years until I'm old enough to get a license. Good job at achieving this!

I was looking up the 17N airplanes on the FAA registry and just happened to stumble upon your videos! A bit late but congratulations! It is a remarkable feeling. I just started renting from them again after some years and just getting used to their aircrafts. They're a lot older than what I'm used to flying.
The one thing I would say from a fellow pilot (private pilot) to another is remember you're flying VFR so make sure you're scanning the area constantly. When I started my training I always wanted to make sure all of my instruments were where they needed to be at all times and then you get into "chasing the needle" and don't look outside. Over time you'll get a feel for everything with the aircraft by comparing outside, such as the horizon with the dash panel.
But this was posted last year, so you're probably way ahead on your training or even have your ticket by now and know all of this! Safe flying!
