This story hit different. Im 37 and have stage 4 cancer. Its a hard pill to swallow when everybody moved on and acted like everything went back to normal within a week of finding out. My "ride or dies" barely call me. The same ones that told me theyd fly out and take care of me if it was cancer pretended they never said such a thing. Not that i mentioned it. I knew she was full of it when she said it. A call now and then would be nice. I have the people i need though. Im very lucky in a lot of ways. Im grateful even.
Stay strong my friend. There are people out here who do care. Please post frequently so that we can stay in touch. I will go through this journey with you if you're open to it. Have a Good Day my friend ❤
Please know that some people care. I’m lucky enough to say I’m a cancer survivor, 23 years free of the shit stain that is cancer, so if you want to scream, shout or just talk, drop me a message. Much love from the UK 😘
My comment got lost in the cosmos, so Ill just say this. In the SAW movie franchise, John Kramer is having a very intense conversation with a medical insurance company executive. He looks the guy straight in the eyes and says..."You may think the dead have no claim over your soul, but you are mistaken!". Great story and narration Jordan
@@melissajones766 they denied my wife’s cancer treatment over and over until doctors proved the surgery was life saving.. if anything happened to my wife I would of lost it. I work a construction job and have good insurance, I was baffled. My work took care of me and let me take off whatever days needed to get her to appts and paid me a full 40.. I can never thank them enough, but that insurance company… they need to be held accountable.
Wow what a great story. Really makes you feel. Ugh poor guy and something so many have gone through. Companies deciding we aren't worth living on their cost benefit analysis.
I'm 50 years old and I have a genetic terminal liver disease and have maybe a year or a little less and I am glad it's me and not my wife. I couldn't keep going without her but I know she can be ok without me but I am worried about my oldest son who is 23 , I know he is having the hardest time with all this. My youngest son is in the Navy and is independent and will be ok. Sorry for rambling.
Its not a ramble. Somehow unbeknownst to us one of our children learns to survive and the other somehow doesnt. I have two children and i got your opposite. Im not sure about this other kid. But, i do know the other sibling has more power over them than we do. How and why just ask that child. I did. While i was killing myself working. My responsible son was his parent. I am just a wallet to the other kid.
@@davidponseigo8811 it sucks, really.. my dad died of liver disease when I was 26 (12 yrs ago) tore me up when my kids asked to see him. My youngest now 3 somehow ALWAYS finds his way to his small urn and runs around playing with him.
Here's another comment got the algorithm gods! Just wanted to say Jordan Grupe is one of my favourite narration channels, right up there with Animas, Nightmares Nightly, Dark Somnium, Light House Horror and Dr Creepen !! Such high quality narrations! Thankyou JG.
So well done! True horror in this world! 10 years I was an oncology nurse, 5 years hospice nurse.. I know why he reached this point. It’s so sad it didn’t end better!
So good and heart wrenching.. my wife had cancer but thankfully they successfully removed it. I don’t know what I would have done had my insurance kept denying the surgery.
Not that anyone asked, but they kept denying the surgery until Docs proved the surgery was life saving.. Eventually they covered it, but not sure how I would have held up had something happened because they didn’t want to pay (and we’ve had insurance for 13 years, 1st major anything other than checkups/exams)
You got me! I saw the title of this story and was excited to hear about the infamous D.B.Cooper and now its 4:14am and im sitting in my bathroom crying like a baby ❤
Child, there is no original story. It's true. "Cooper" jumped from the plane and was never seen again. Only some of the cash was found in the woods. Not much. We don't know anything more. No wife, no cancers. It's a mystery.
That last like three minutes hit me hard it make me appreciate my family and my opportunities that I’ve been given to love them every single day and spend amazing amount of time with them and memories
The beginning of this story shows the true evil of these insurance companies believe me it’s not just a story I believe whole heartedly they actually do that
Putting aside the whole DB Cooper story (which is phenomenal by the way, literally the best I’ve heard) I just wanted to say, you understand, you totally get it, you care and I thank you. ❤
I shit you not my mom and I were watching a show that merely mentioned D. B. Cooper a couple hours ago, she mentioned how flabbergasted she was when she learned about it and I told her some of the wacky theories I read. And nothing else more lol and then BAM! You put out this story! Coincidence?? Probably most definitely lol still funny as hell
This really hit for me I've lost 2 of my favorite people to Lung cancer and i empathize with anyone that has felt the desire to go to great lengths due to the lack of care in this health system
My father was US Air Force Air Police attached to the Defense Atomic Support Agency and was a Advisor to South Vietnam and was doing work of some sort in Cambodia but he never said what.
I must say,the story was well written and narrated. That being said, it didn't really have what it took to be included in the horror genre. There were elements of suspense and definitely of sadness, which again, was done well enough, but not,I think, what the average JGH audience would be looking for on your channel. Personally, it wasn't exactly disappointment that I felt in the choice of story, just not what I was expecting. Anyway, that's just my opinion, but I thought it was worth sharing as feedback, more than anything else.
D.B. Cooper is my favorite "bad guy" story because he didn't hurt anyone.
He wasn't really a bad guy, he didn't hurt anyone and was very polite so Karma allowed him to succeed and get away with it.
Yep, it’s a fun story…..one of the few modern day “folk heroes” who you can talk about in mixed company and likely not offend anyone.

So sorry to hear that but your life matters! True friends stick with you no matter what
Please keep posting under these stories so we can send you assurance every day. I'm looking forward to your message tomorrow. 😊

Love that line!! Truer words have never been spoken
😊😊😊😊😢😊😊😊😅 7:26 7:26 7:40 😮😮😊😮😮😊😮😮😊
Holy crap - this was a heavy one. And the writing was exceptional - some of those lines were just absolutely incredible.
Wow, how awfully human this story is. Beautiful
It's so sad but true that the insurance companies do this to people and are never held accountable for the lives they destroy.

Sometimes just having a rant to a stranger on the internet can help you mentally. Love to you and your family from the UK.

👍👍marvelously unequaled, this story was thrilling but heartbreaking.. I loved and enjoyed this fabulous story. Thanks Jordan 😇💖
D B COOPER IS SO FAMOUS AFTER WHAT HE DID AND WAS NEVER FOUND ITS A AMAZING STORY
AN*
A very sad story that was well narrated. You brought it to life Jordan. Thank you.
I’m not crying. I’m not! Now please get back to scaring the crap out of us, Mr. Grupe.
This was So Good Jordan, so very good. ❤
First time listener to the channel. Loved the story.

This was a pretty good story, what made it great was the narration.
This makes me angry about the medical industry, Big Pharma.
AWESOME! Just kept pulling my heartstrings!
True Love never tires me!
Well.....damn! Good morning to you, too, Jordan.
That's the saddest story I've ever heard😢By Far!. ..
Well this was absolutely great, just about brought a tear to my eye too. Good stuff
D B Cooper has always fascinated me and this was just brilliant! 👏🏼
You got me! I saw the title of this story and was excited to hear about the infamous D.B.Cooper and now its 4:14am and im sitting in my bathroom crying like a baby ❤
Oh man! D.B. Cooper! Not missing this for dang sure.
What, tiight, tight tight tiiiight. Not even a word I use, seemed appropriate here.
Who is D.B Cooper?
@AsiaCordone he hijacked a plane. Got a million dollar ransom and jumped out of the plane, never to be found.
@@AsiaCordoneSearching his case on here gives plenty of insight into the story.
One of the best stories I've heard in a long time. Thank you for sharing it with us Jordan ❤
Loved this. Made me cry, but loved it!
Loved it. Great story. One of my favorite cases, and this puts a human spin on an enigma
Never heard the original story, but this one is beautifully written and sad as all hell.

Lots of ppl dont know the db cooper story. This is or could be a great idea for the why.
This would make an awesome movie.
Wow. Wonderfully talented writer. Thanks
Sad but amazing story Jordan.👍
Brilliant story narrated perfectly! ❤😊❤😊 thankyou JG !
Excellent take on an in search of classic!
Great story Jordan. I enjoyed this version of a famous story.
That last like three minutes hit me hard it make me appreciate my family and my opportunities that I’ve been given to love them every single day and spend amazing amount of time with them and memories
Great story and very kool twist. Very sad ending.
That ending ......... OMFG. 😢😢
Wait, D.B. Cooper parachuted off the plane…
This was one of my favorite narrations you’ve done.
Certain stories are hair raising and others break your heart in two.

Love a dB Cooper story
Holy that was a TEAR JERKER!!!😢
Oh my gosh I loved this story but man my heart is broken
Bazinga

Great twist on this story.
My wife is going to get so annoyed with all the hugs and kisses I’m going to give her after hearing this
This is gonna be a good one for sure. 👍🏻
I absolutely love the way you read this
I couldn't finish listening. My husbands insurance wouldn't cover his chemo treatments $9000 per treatment once a week.... I live in the US.
Maybe you should seek treatments in mexico, i heard they have better healthcare there.
I'm so sorry, that really isn't fair. Healthcare should be a right not a privilege for the wealthy
Thank you, this was a good read. Cried like I never thought I would. Was unexpected.
This was fun.
Thank you so much.
Loki lost a beat to Thor that's why he is D.B. Cooper .
My father was US Air Force Air Police attached to the Defense Atomic Support Agency and was a Advisor to South Vietnam and was doing work of some sort in Cambodia but he never said what.
Man, this was so good and so damn sad
I’m down with this.
Darkness.
I 💩this is an all American story Jordan nice choice😂😂
Good story
😢
Great twist I'm the story 😊😊
Pfff......what a hrartshaking story,.....👍!
This story made me cry
D.B. Was a bad ass!!!
Great story! Can we email you to give a little background of us to help you fit us into a Hollow ends story??
If you're a 10$ or higher member on patreon feel free to send over a message on patreon and I'll make a note of it for the character 😁
This should
Be a movie. Wow.
Loved this one, poor guy 😊
A tale from the land of freedom.
But why do I keep rewinding to the beginning to the song
Now that.... That's the horror I'm looking for!
And here I was looking for a horror story to distract myself from the fact that I lost the reason my world turned round
Damn that was a great story was all fiction or is there some truth there
Awe naw 😭
Oh no im late 😢
Anybody else catch that concertina reference?
Gotta say holy fuck what a good story
There’s a lot of fake stuff online…
so... did anyone find the treasure?
No, Loki was D.B. Cooper! Lol
He is dead now
She said her phone off. But she getting to get dressed n go over ur grandmother house
