Story Time!!!! We used to own a narrow front 720. One of dad's numbered stories is cultivating 43 acres of corn on 11 gallons of fuel which is absolutely amazing. He said the slower the RPMs on those two cylinders, the more power they made. I don't know if that's true but when you bogged it down it sure was nearly unstoppable, kinda like Wes's pull on this vid. Notice as he slows down he pulls the front end up and gets the rears biting and really starts to pull. Way to Go Pandy!!! JD represent!!
Good call on adding the weights + new tires. You could see the difference in how the tractor kept the front end on the ground with power transferred to the tires instead of wasting power pulling it up in the air. Great fun Wes!!
Good preparation paid off. Had me on pins and needles all the way to the end. Thanks for the thrill, the only thing that would have made it better, would have been if I had been there to see it, in person. Congrats. to Wes Pandy, and crew!
At the end " ...........Central Jersey Tractor Pullers, we have one lonely farmer here. And if you like this video please comment rate and subscribe." I think with the tractors running right next to us that made it hard to hear. Also I forgot to say find us on face book. Good job stompin him Wes hope you come back to pull with us soon.
To all the new people whom might take the announcers advice, and check out OLF Wes is a pretty good mechanic, and it shows a lot of farm related projects. If you are allergic to fowl language, you prolly should move on over to Wranglerstar cause Wes could make a drunkin sailor blush. But if you can get past his propensity to cuss, this channel is well worth your time.
Sorry but being a sailor and having been a very drunken sailor on numerous occasions I'm pretty sure I would offend even OLF. Keep up the good work Wes. Can't wait to see some more mowing and baling videos
Mack Thompson Way to avoid the subject.. I typed all of that just to keep you arguing, More money in OLF pocket Dweeb,it doesn't matter if it's good contact or bad comments, you are helping Wes make more money and isn't that what you want to do...... Make more money for OLF ? Thought So !!!
mrbakerskatz That really is the funny thing about it all. These people just don't understand why everyone says "comment, rate, and subscribe. I'm still laughing at the morons.
Nice pulls Wes. I go to the South Jersey pulls a lot but all the SJ guys are going up to Burlington County to pull now. It's sad. I need to get up to that pull at some point.
Hi Wes That old girl put on a good show considering it's missing 4 more cylinders, a turbo and not burning 3 gallon of fuel on a run L.O.L. You must be gettin serious about pulling with the new tires and the weight brackets. been waiting for this update and looking forward to hopefully seeing more pulling video's, this year if you have time to go. Getting the most from an antique can be just as much fun as building a farm or pro stock tractor some days. Regards Robert
Nice balance with the weights. Back enough to keep the rear end planted and forward enough to keep the front end down til the end. And way to show off the red power Tim.
Looks like a nice pull! Our local pulling league that had farm an up to hot farm, hobby, antiques, econo mods, modifieds, garden tractors an trucks just found out the other day that the club I'd closed down no pulls for them this year. I guess their was to many people that didn't get along on the board, what a shame bc they went to all the co fairs an their was always a great turnout!!! Sad!! :(
That deer of yours out weighted the farmall MD, I hope you put both tractors on the scale before pulling. As the owner of a MD, pulling in the 7500 lbs class, scaling in at 6500, being the underdog, pulling home the blue ribbon more than once, in a weight class I had no business pulling in, I think a rematch is in order. The 60 stock without any weights, out weighs the farmall stock, one more thing the tire size on the farmall MD looked stock. I do like your channel and the fact that you fix them, run them, use them, That's awesome ! Some day I'll show you what a farmall MD is capable of! 6500 on the scale, 15000 full pull that's right 15000
Nice pull! Looks like that track had a little sticky spot about half way through the pulls. Both of you lost a little momentum through it but picked back up after you got through it.

I hope to be pulling at the oldest continually farmed plantation in the western hemisphere.. Chippokes Plantation state park...Across the river from Jamestown Va.'' also... swap sides with your weight brackets - it will hang the weights farther forward... you weigh the same , but it requires more torque to raise the weight farther forward- this also keeps your hitch high and with a steeper angle more downforce is added to the rears... its all about balance...
I agree 100% that is the plan for the next time but the track needs to be wet like it was. I was expecting it to be dry dry that's why I put them where they where
Damn straight!! GREEN POWER all the way!! And why the hell was Tim wearing a red IH shirt.. lol. Geez can't teach these kids nothin' :) lol. Congrats Wes!!
I'm just winging this but I think your challenger went with way to low on air pressure. Seemed to rob a bunch of his mojo at the end of the pull. Your tires looked a bunch better at the end of your pull. Congrats!
Ruud , I respectfully disagree with that belief. Running lower air pressure than the oem recommendation probably will not let the oem tread do its work as intended. Plus I think horsepower gets robbed dealing with the collapse of the tire. I'm not an expert by any means. Just know enough to be dangerous as they used to say :).
You want to have enough air pressure so that lugs bite evenly, that usually means a little low, it's a bit of trial and error to know, best way to know you got it right is to look in the holes you dug in track just as sled stops you- flat bottom in holes is good, rounded bottom you've got a bit too much air.
Mark Oliver lower pressure increases the tires footprint, putting more lugs in contact with the ground, you do loose horsepower from the tire deforming, but that lost power doesn't help you if you can't get it to the ground.
can some 1 please translate the part at the end where they was talking..ty i not very good at reading lips either .lol nice job if you won congrats to you & your family
Why is Frank messing around with that red thing? He needs to get him a JI Case 400 row crop (the big 400 from the 50s, not the small one from the 60s).
You've got to love this guy great sense of humor good personality vintage dairy farmer 20 years can relate very well keep them coming man David powhatan Virginia
Hopefully not so many vids cause your putting hours on new wind rower and not fixin it or fighting Deere about it! Hopefully it's makin hay too, looks pretty short here but not doing too bad considering how dry it's been

It's not how much power you have it's knowing how to put the power to the ground. Well done Wes your a good operator!!!

onelonleyfarmer yeah kicking ass and taken names nice job wes
SO worth the extra effort to get ready, good to see the 60 still pullin hard..
Very nicely done! All the prep work paid off!
Thats just pure torque, The MD is pure horsepower! Great contest and Great video!!!Thanks for sharing.
To all the new people whom might take the announcers advice, and check out OLF

mrbakerskatz here here well said..

You done a damn good job balancing that thing, looked like everything it had make it to the track
The new radial tires helped the old Deere pulled pretty good.
Well done Wes. Can't wait to see more footage from this event.
Well done, nice driving and work adding the ballast weights
Nice pulls Wes. I go to the South Jersey pulls a lot but all the SJ guys are going up to Burlington County to pull now. It's sad. I need to get up to that pull at some point.

Congratulations on winning this one. Any more to follow?
Nice :D I just bought a John Deere 60 lawn tractor, shipped it from the usa to belgium :) I love the old tractors!
Well done Wesley, good job.
Nice balance with the weights. Back enough to keep the rear end planted and forward enough to keep the front end down til the end. And way to show off the red power Tim.
Love your work Wes!
The weight brackets worked as advertised. Good job.
awd3264 I'm just wondering if the weights were moved forward if Wes could have broke 280', it seemed he still had a bit of power left.
RobiSydney I think he was done anyway because you see him stop just before it stalls, and the front was not cumming up any higher.
RobiSydney if i move them just a bit more it would keep the front down and it would go another 10 -20 ft.
Love the sound of those 2 cylinder john deere engines :)
LOL. A tractor pull at 2~3mph. Oh, yeah. That’s real excitement. Too bad I had to stay home that day and watch the lawn grow.
Looks like a nice pull! Our local pulling league that had farm an up to hot farm, hobby, antiques, econo mods, modifieds, garden tractors an trucks just found out the other day that the club I'd closed down no pulls for them this year. Congratulations Wes John Deere power all the way. Nothing runs like a Deere!

Wes.......when is the W235 coming? Can't wait to see it mowing!
What did he say after the pull
Hey Wes, you had the 60 and the 720 balanced just right, ran out of power wilh very little wheel slip. My kind of pulling. Nice job.
Nice shirt Tim.
Can't keep an old Deere down. Good job Wes.
I knew you could bite his ass on that pull way to go and a great presentation video of your time at the tractor pull.
Nice pull! Looks like that track had a little sticky spot about half way through the pulls. Both of you lost a little momentum through it but picked back up after you got through it.
well done wes stomped some butt
At the end " ...........Central Jersey Tractor Pullers, we have one lonely farmer here. always feels good when you beat the person talking smack
Nice love seeing the old girls getting used
U did really good, was that ur first pull?
Cheers
Good job. Looked like a good pull. I think you could've opened it up more though.
He had it weighted darn near perfect
I agree 100% that is the plan for the next time but the track needs to be wet like it was. I was expecting it to be dry dry that's why I put them where they where
I have to keep my MT stripped to get it in the 3000 lb class.. only use one wheel weight in the front... still pulls til it stalls in 1st gear...
Sorry, I couldn't make out a single word said at the end.
Im sorry i know absolutley nothing about tractors but doesnt it rev more? Sounds like its idling...? Good idea with the weights!
u should put a video of u putting on a combie header
That's that 2 cyl JD torque at work
well done another win for JD
Gotta love some friendly competition among farmers :-D
great job wes put that poppin johnny to the floor
Well Done, Keepin the Mean in Green !!!!
yea love those greentractors ,I Knew you would win
Damn straight!! GREEN POWER all the way!! And why the hell was Tim wearing a red IH shirt.. lol. Geez can't teach these kids nothin' :) lol. Congrats Wes!!
I'm just winging this but I think your challenger went with way to low on air pressure. Seemed to rob a bunch of his mojo at the end of the pull. Your tires looked a bunch better at the end of your pull. Congrats!
Mark Oliver kill the "with", sorry.
Low tire pressure means more traction

i not very good at reading lips either .lol
nice job if you won congrats to you & your family
Congrats n the big big win. John Deere all the way go green power
How did the 60 do when u got beat with 267ft. Also how might that compare to the farmall pull
Nice win wes
good to see the old girls can still bark
Enjoyed , thank you .
All I got out of the guy at the end = Thumbs up.....
JOHN DEERE POWER hahaha TAKE THAT FARMALL AND WE EVEN HAD LESS POWER
Where's the challenge? You want a challenge get an Allis Chalmers out there. Made pretty damn good pulling tractors fresh out of the factory.
so you beat him
why knot? By almost 5 feet as far as my math works :).
why knot? Did you watch the video? lol
why knot? buy just over 2 feet.
Kevin Willis not unless they do it in meters?
Kevin Willis 267.89 vs 263 is what I saw.
Why is Frank messing around with that red thing? He needs to get him a JI Case 400 row crop (the big 400 from the 50s, not the small one from the 60s).
Dang we wanted to see the 720 pull Wes! Lol
Don't worry it's coming I have a lot of footage from the tractor pull
That's putting power to the ground with the 60.
You've got to love this guy great sense of humor good personality vintage dairy farmer 20 years can relate very well keep them coming man David powhatan Virginia
Yeah I like his videos a lot, there is more that gets done and fixed in his shop than most of those $100k shops where all they do is drink beer.
Cool.
Love it Hell yes🇺🇸👍😎
Awesome!
I think if the farmall had new tryes like the 60 it would pull abit better.
The announcer seemed to be into it.
GREEN POWER WOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Thumbs up Wes
forgot to say good job wes
Yes sir!!!!!! Way to go OLF ")
Why didn't you rev the tractors more? Surely you would have travelled a greater distance
Deere power!! Hell yeah!!
Win's? Wrong Tim!
And the JD torque wins!! :P
GOT EM!!! Haha ,got em
you just have too love it ,little boys with their toys, just wish I were there with my dads super m
John Deere leading the pack as usual ;)
Kinda alot of money in tires just to win a bet Lol but Good job
the low rpm torque of these 2 pot engines is unbelievable...
LOL Not exactly what I was expecting
I believe if you traded tractors you would still win with the md!!! you set them up better!!! looks like his just came off the feed grinder!! lol
smart
Great job way to go
Hopefully not so many vids cause your putting hours on new wind rower and not fixin it or fighting Deere about it! Hopefully it's makin hay too, looks pretty short here but not doing too bad considering how dry it's been
Nice job beating that guy
wtg
Well goes to show a person - you can't beat a deere
nice to see no modified pullers against stockers . Its what spoiled tractor pulls . imo
Well done Wesley, good job.
