@ajmotocross I would say no, but it just collects more dust evenly spread around the filter via the optimized inflow. Also you should tape up the holes during washing or rain.
Thanks man, I appreciate your feedback 🙏 I tried it yesterday as part of my testing for High speed stability as well as 3mm fork height and I liked it. I tried the +1 instead of +2 bar position. If you are interested in the benefits of forward bar positions (especially if you're tall) check out this video ua-cam.com/video/4HyaP_5KulE/v-deo.html
I watched it while it all sounds correct or at least interesting your solution was wrong. Rolling the bars forward or back changes the relationship between vertical and horizontal sweep of the bar bend, with the bars rolled forward you raise the outside of the bar, by making the natural horizontal sweep now vertical, which diminishes your hands contact on the grip and/or creates an unnatural shoulder-elbow-hand relationship. This should be a a straight line but with your bars rolled forward you now either need to minimise hand contact on the grip, twist your wrist or twist you arm to accommodate. All of this increases injury risk and reduces bike control. What you need at different bar mount to increase the triangle/platform size while maintaining optimum bar rotation position.
@zacka161 yes all those factors matter as well and I thought about it already, but thanks for sharing for people who really want to get into the details. - Yes actually the YZ250F has 4 different bar positions available while maintaining the preferred bar "rotation setting" as you probably know. But the "rider platform size" is still a primary factor to get right, to match rider height for optimal ability to ride centered and effortless 👍
Thank you
Any gripes only an owner gets to find out, perhaps maintenance-wise?
Each rider have their preferred grip type and pattern, so for riders who prefer softer grips this is good to be aware of.
With cutting the holes, do you have to clean your filter more?

@@FastCoachToby did you put mesh over the holes to keep dirt out or is their no need?
@ajmotocross so far no need, but maybe for busy sand tracks that would make sense 👍
Your bar position is atrocious. Roll them back to somewhat level.
