Dude an actual step by step tutorial on how to build a city, I never thought I'd see the day, this is amazing
did you build it on the same world seed
@@michaelshapiro1897 no, on a different one, and I used the basic idea instead of following perfectly, makes it more mine I guess
I agree this is amazing. So many “tutorials” ppl say, but it’s just them building. Not actually doing it step by step and explaining in detail. I know it must have taken A lot of work and pretty tedious to explain, so thank you!
@@AXT157 do you know a good seed for ps5
@@teastment7028 no, I play java now but I imagine there's some good videos on it
I was looking for an idea for a dock on a server I play on. then I stumbled upon your tutorials and realized I have already made several of your builds in my area. Thanks for the great ideas. Creators like you keep people like me motivated to keep playing this game. Love your work and keep on inspiring people to build.
I love watching your builds, they're amazing! I think you could male a killer Greek or Roman port city, as well.
Thank you Wolfie101, i'm planning a Roman Port City very soon which should be a fun project 😀👍😀

I just finished your dock series in survival. Your tutorials are absolutely brilliant, thank you! I was so impressed, I did something I never have before - subbed patreon. My daughter is now gleefully exploring your medieval village. Well done sir, I tip my hat to you.
I am sure nobody cares but my last name is almost the same as yours
Damn... you have to be a great dad to build a city in minecraft for your daughter, hats off to you
Anyone know of this is the seed that goes on with the beautiful church and the big castle tutorial? I'm going to start today in survival...eeep!
wow! ive built this and the amazing church now! you deserve more attention!
Thank you so much Jakobi 😀👍

Is there a seed that I can build on? I’m on Xbox and the seed listed in the description doesn’t work for me :(
@@TerracottaArmyMusic I'm also on Xbox, I'm currently building this in a flat world. I've added the ocean and the surrounding hills myself, although the landscape isn't exact, it doesn't look too bad lol
@@BlueNerdMC bro this seed is working in Minecraft pocket edition

Oh god, thank you so much. Im starting a new server and wanted this to be “the main town” this helped alot!!!
What's the coordinates for the starting block?

When i used those i was teleported underground

I loved going there, getting halfway through the build and then realizing theres just a sunken ship there
I've adapted your design and used it to make it a double dock yard being on an island in a pirate cove sort of way I have taverns and dueling arenas on the ho at the moment thanks for the inspiration 👍👍
Sounds awesome buddy, feel free to share some pictures on my discord, link in the description. Thanks buddy 😀👍
hey bro share a world download
So I built the castle, but then I decided I was going to the town and port in another world (creative). After I have the town built in this world I’m building the castle again. I’m mainly using the video for the right direction, but definitely making this build my own due to how my world is set up. So excited to get into the next video. :)

Just built your medieval boat, and figured I needed a port/dock to go with it. First result after a search and here you are agian! I actually didn't copy this build but took inspiration from the design and made it work in my own world. Great video again man, thanks.
Thank you Dylan, i'm glad you enjoyed the build and was able to get some inspiration from it. Feel free to share any pics of your builds on my discord. There are many members on there sharing builds and ideas so it's always a good place for inspiration too. There's a link in the description 👍😀
@@BlueNerdMC how many blocks for the pillager are from the water? 5 blocks? 4?
This is really good at explaining how to do things even though you make mistakes, you actually explain instead of saying ok do this then after that you need to do this. I built this a little while back and put my own twist on it. Boy does it look good on the new Xbox counsels with ray tracing plus a medieval style shaders/texture pack
Hey these tutorials are awesome! Ive been taking these builds and using them in my own world. Keep up these great tutorials! Just 1 request could you make a stable that's separate from the castle etc... That would be awesome! Thank you for the content I enjoy your builds.

This is freakin crazy. 😧. Thank you! This must be the best docks/harbor I have ever seen in Minecraft so far
Thank you so much Dxrkwave, this tutorial actually turned into a much bigger project than I expected lol, if you see the playlist in the description I've been adding a bunch of houses and slowly turning the harbour into a kingdom/city, still a work in progress with a bunch of new stuff coming over the coming weeks 😀👍
BlueNerd Minecraft The playlist really inspired me, I will be sure to watch them all. I am saving money to build a new gaming PC so i can download that gorgeous texture pack. PS4 version is getting kinda boring 😝
Thanks Dxrkwave, yeah I started out years ago on xbox 360 Minecraft, it was such an amazing change switching to PC Java edition, the games runs better and so many options for texture packs, shaders and mods that just make the game so much more fun. I would suggest making sure the PC has a decent graphics card and processor 😀👍
BlueNerd Minecraft Yes, I will work until I have enough money for the i9-9900K & RTX 2080 Ti😁 My last year of studies will finally start soon in September. I want to be able to build my dream PC in overkill so it can last several years.
Oh yeah buddy that should run minecraft no problem lol, i'm actually looking to upgrade to that myself very soon 😀👍

Thank you so much Samii, i'm so glad this video has helped inspire you and hopefully gave you a few building tips too. 👍
I thought I was going insane when trying to rebuild this in my own world. At 35:01 when building the pillars that have a 5 gap between each pillar I couldn't get the end to line up like you did BlueNerd Minecraft, so I went back and looked thru all the footage and you happened to only put 4 at the last pillar! I literally went crazy counting a million times over asking myself what did I do wrong?... Turns out it wasn't an error on my part or yours because, in the end, it all looks amazing!!!!!
Same It took me 1 hour to fix. He really needs to fix it
Yeah, I saw that when he did it and was like ooops, that'll cause a headache!
I thought that too, I wasnt building it but it bothered the heck out of me
I replayed it 3 times in 0.25 speed and im like waaa and i fix it to his mistake and still no fit
How did you fix the mistake, my build is one block off from his and I can't figure out what I did wrong. When I built it I put 5 blocks instead of 4 because I saw his mistake.
started a new Realm last night, I searched the world over and found the perfect spot for this series. Thank you so much for your fabulous builds
This video alone taught me how to build properly
I play Minecraft a lot with my two youngest boys, 9 & 6, and they love when I build things from videos. I just started your series and it's a lot more involved than anything I've tried before but I'm having fun with it! I did not start in the same seed world so I'm having to build up ground a lot but it's coming along! Just finished the dock today! Can't wait to jump into the other builds! That one corner was bothering me as well so I did change it for mine!
Found your channel and decided to do my first ever follow along so I have built all six awaiting the next build. Looking awesome so far.
Thank you Sonny, and great job following along. The next one will be up a couple of days. I've got lots of plans for this series so hopefully it should be fun to follow along 😀👍
Working on the castle right now and I’m excited to start to incorporate this build into the castle 😊

i. love. your. vids. SO MUCH
your voice is positive and pleasant to listen to, almost like a bob ross kind of vibe in a way? appreciating lil progresses along the way and how things are looking
and the explaining things as you go is fantastic, i'm constantly learning new things
and i'm about 2/3 of the way through this vid and now have a newfound crush on the number 5
building this in my survival lets play.. expanded it a little bit and i have run out of stone like 5 times xD hopfully this will be the last mining sesh to finish this awesome dock!
Well done Alan, it does use a ton of stone and building it in survival is certainly a big project. It will be worth it when it's all done 😀👍
Bluenerd, I enjoy following along in your builds. Easy step by step instructions and great enthusiasm. I started the seed and currently finding the location on survival to build this.
Love the idea. Will watch later after work
Thanks Adam, let me know your thoughts once you watched it 😀😀
Very nice design. What you can do is add stripped spruce logs and spruce trap doors on the docks for variation
I know I'm a couple years behind but amazing build none the less, I have a huge world built with a Japanese theme to it and this was an amazing start to a new world love the videos keep them up.
Did you use the seed and coordinates?
@nickolajhelweg no I just picked a spot on my map that was fairly close to his and went with it I'm tweaking the ends of my builds because I don't have as high of hills and such
"you can go ahead and slab, slab, slab"
One moment of silence: "actually it should be like this"
this is what i like, i have no ideas, i dont know how to plan every time i think of an idea it flys out of my head, but this one helped me
I'm going to make an entire city with your amazing style! Thanks for the inspiration!
No problem Sebastian, glad you like it buddy. Lots more to come from this series 😀😀
Absolutely love following your tutorials! 3 building into my medieval village 😌😊 but it absolutely looks amazing thanks to your awesome help! Just finished up the blacksmith shop. 😜
For everyone confused about all of the mistakes in the video (like me) i've found answers or solutions for all of them.
1. seed/coordinates, if you are 1.18 and above on Bedrock sorry I don't have a solution, but if you're on Java revert you're game to 1.14.2 to generate the world and go the the coords generate roughly a 100 by 100 chunk area then revert your game back to whatever version you're playing.
2. The four block gap on the left side of the pier, instead of putting the first log on X =2126 Z =1388 and having a five long fence on the left put it on X =2127 Z = 1388 with a four block long fence and then build as normal making sure to put FIVE andesite between each log.
3. Everything else, go to 102:22
2021 anyone still come back to watch again✌️👍🏼 thank you so much for so many good & nice build 🤗🌸🇬🇧✌️👍🏼
This was just what i needed to complete my castle thanks a lot!

This is amazing I built this last night for my son and plan on building more of your builds just wondering if there are any more videos like this one extending the city walls and found at all?
Did the castle and cathedral first, now I'm retro-fitting in the docks and village. :D Thanks, mate!
blue! this is amazing, love your work :) I've just gotten up to date with your medieval castle build - is there any way you have a plan of where the castle fits in to the docks so I can build the docks around it?
Your videos are helping me a lot with ideas for my survival world! I was running out of ideas and watching your videos are inspiring me to build a lot of things in my world. Thank you.
I know this thing has been online for a while, but if you look carefully at Min 18:19 you can see that the dock was extended by one block. I got so confused, that I started all over again twice until I noticed. Anyways Great Tutorial Blue

Is this the Dock/Harbour series you mention in part 1 of the Medieval Castle? (the one in 28 videos)
I have figured out how to solve the issue at 4:52 with the four blocks instead of five. Move the starting pillar east by one block and redo the design based on that. (Sorry to those who are already well into the tutorial)
So is it 4 or 5? I'm so confused bc the other staircase next to it he did 5 & why would they be different unless make that 4 as well?
You want all staircases to be 5 wide he accidentally did a 4 wide and it will mess up your build later so this is how you fix it
@@orangecatguy9845When did he redo it?
You are an amazing UA-cam thank you for this video!!
I play on the switch & was looking up some port builds for a bit of inspiration on how I might want to do a few ports around the town I've been building with my younger bros
I appreciate what you tried to do by adding texture to the andecite path around the dock, but I personally think it looks better without it. Still great build tho thumbs up
Thank you Dylan, i'm glad you like it buddy. If you prefer the path without the extra textures then be sure to go with it, everyone has there own taste so it's important to make sure the builds looks the way you prefer. 👍😀
Just a heads up, for anyone that gets stuck on the back wall corner! The last pillar is only 4 blocks of space instead of 5. Other than that, great job!
I think I screwed up my whole building because of this
Yea he doesn't catch himsemd am only has 1 4 block space of polisjed andesite
I am building this as Blue goes through the video, and I noticed the mistake. He does correct it off camera, because when he does the lower walkway with the slabs, and he makes the slab stairs, it is 5 blocks wide. The way I corrected it, was to move the pier and the rest on the right side 1 block over.
Thank you very much BlueNerd! Im dropping a sub!
dude thankyou for this tutorial, i modified it a bit and used it stacked 3 high for an archery xD
Hey! I was wondering if that seed is available within the Minecraft realms on 1.14.4/vanilla? Also love your builds!
Hey xNancyyx, the seed is a vanilla Minecraft 1.14.4 seed so it should work on realms too 👍😀
BlueNerd Minecraft thank you so much! At first I had a hard time trying to navigate from your coordinates but luckily I found the spot!
@@xnancyyx6127 lmao the seed does not work anymore your lucky!
Operation Rouge Edits It works for me im doing it right now. it’s just slightly varied in some block placement and there are more trees
@@ExstacyYT damn I’m struggling trying to figure out how to make the seed work
Your videos are timeless my guy. Thank you for all the inspiration!
I don't really know how to explain this, but at 59:31, where the big stairs are at, on the right side, you have 2 of those kinda gaps filled with spruce wood if you know what I mean. Then, You have another 2 of them, but they're like facing the other way, so there is a corner. In this video, from that corner to the last block of those 2 "spruce gaps" facing the other way, there are 16 blocks. But at the tutorials that I'm building now, It's 18 blocks. I'm really sorry because this is probably really confusing and my english is pretty bad, but if you understand what I mean, do you know why this is? Again, I'm so sorry for making it so confusing.
4 years later after building docks/castle a few times ...I still watch these videos. Maybe I should build docks/castle #3 😂
Are you in bedrock? Have a seed, coord. You used? I can't find a good seed. i started it and it's going to be so much land building. I built the castle and church in a flat world and i regret that! 😆
@@Laura-07q I just found somewhere on the seed I had a previous world on. Found a jungle and started there. Probably wasn't the best area because of the amount of trees that I had to remove. And used very lil jungle wood to build anything. Most the area after the docks was flat. And yeah I did a lot of digging...but in the end I made it work for my build. It's grown over the years and worked well. I think if you do it not exactly the same it's ok. Makes it more your build in the end. Just do what works best for you in a area you like and it will be great! Just don't give up. It's an epic build in the end!!!!!
@@Laura-07q I just started building this on ps4 and I found a pretty good spot if ur still looking the seed is -3818011030321027201 and the cords for the first block is 3276, 68, 1782

Thanks, I was going to lose my mind for about 2 hours if you had not commented this.
You are a great man thanks for helping us out
No problem buddy 👍😀👍
I spent over 60 hours in survival mode on Bedrock edition making the docks and small town complete with buildings, logging area, a custom ship, giant mine and painstakingly detailing it all. Came out fantastic loaded it up to get some pictures to show you only for my world save to be corrupted and I lost it all... Time to quit Minecraft for a year or two to calm down
I'm so sorry to hear that buddy, i can imagine how frustrating that must have been. Try not get to frustrated, i'm sure if you can on bedrock but if you can make regular back ups. 👍
Dude your tutorials are amazing
Love u
I have just now, after building halfway through the tutorial, found out that the 4 block gap at 4:52 wasn't intentional, do you reckon it's still possible to build the city even though one of those gaps is to short?
I’ve had problems with that too, I left it as 4 and when you get to building the wall the coordinates are wrong, I’m trying it with it as 5 to see what happens
how did it turn out?
Does he ever go back in the video to fix it? bc im not gonna keep building if im doing it wrong. I'm so confused why the other staircases would be 5 gap wide & not that one
@@Shann0n2000That's whatt I'm saying I'm legit gonna got play falllout new vegas because I'm not waisting my time
I know it's been a few months, but guus don't overthink it. This happens to me as well, but there will always be mistakes, just impliment it into your build. So what that it's off by one block, just blend your build with the mistake because if you're going to try to fix every nook and cranny you're gonna get unmotivated. Know that your build is awesome enough 😁 and remind yourself of that
I love your videos, builds and tutorials! I am going through them now and just LOVE your content! I am so happy I found your channel! Thank you for all your hard work!
4:53 you actually placed 4 andesite blocks unstead of 5 so i got a bit confused when i build the dock myself. just an heads up other fellow minecrafters who wants to build the dock:)
Yeah this "tutorial" is all over the place :/ what actually is it 4 or 5?
I'm not on PC Java edition, but I'm determined to make this in my world. If I have to build a landscape around it, then that's fine, but I'm assuming it's possible. Beautiful work!
No worries buddy, it's easy enough to make it work. Just find a nice spot by the ocean, most of the land will be built over anyway :)
EDIT: I figured it out. He actually MISS counts while building his back foundation at (4:31). He counts pillar, then 1,2,3,4,5 - pillar 1,2,3,4,5 - pillar BUT at his sixth pillar he COUNTS 5 Andesite but actually only lays down FOUR (resulting in the stair above left of the pier being only 4 blocks wide at that point in the video). That is why the back wall and everything else is off by one block as you continue. You will unfortunately have to shift EVERYTHING (and I mean everything) on the left side of the pier ONE block to the left to add in the one block making it an even spacing of 5 between pillars, if you want to match what he has on the screen. It's really not that big of a deal. You don't necessarily need to rebuild everything, just the outer row of each feature. He does magically fix it a few minutes later. Although, it is not mentioned in the "fixes" section at the end of the video. I hope this helps anyone running into this problem.
Watch the video to end buddy, I go back and correct that accidental 4 block gap.
@@BlueNerdMC I'm not talking about the miscount on the lower deck planks, I'm talking about the stair just to the left of the pier. This mistake never gets address in the video but magically gets fixed between cuts. One shot it's four wide then the next shot it's five. All we need to know, to get this right, is, did you shift everything left one block or did you shift the pier one block to the right? It looks like you shifted everything left to get it to match, but we can't tell.
@@NorthernChev This is an old video so I can't remember the mistake you are pointing out, however I do know that I pointed out and showed how to fix the errors I made at the end of the video. It was a miss count on my part any mishaps are spoken about at the end so be sure to watch the ending for the explanation =)
@@BlueNerdMC No problem, I figured out how to fix it. Thank you!
@@NorthernChev Can you please tell me how you fixed it, thanks. He doesn't exactly explain how he fixed it in the video.
Hi Blue. I’ve gone back in time to build this medieval harbor. So far so good. I’m on episode 3 getting ready to build the Library. I’ll show you on twitter if I can remember my password. Lol.
Hey man, this looks totally amazing! Please tell me, where did you learn to build? I'm struggling to understand the basics of architecture in minecraft . I really look forward to seeing more projects from you. I will proceed to try making the harbour, as well as the church for my little town!
Thank you so much Horumba, glad you're enjoying the builds my friend. To be honest I learned just by practising building and messing around with blocks. Finding pictures and concept art on google images helps me find ideas and inspiration, but to be honest the best way is to load up a creative world and just keep playing around with different blocks, find colours that work well together. Watching build tutorials also helps, just pay attention to block placement, it really helps you learn new techniques for building. Hope that helps a little bit buddy 😀👍
Tutorial is great, really enjoyed building it in my creative world, excited to see more of your amazing vids😀
Been having a hard time finding seeds as good as this one for bedrock edition :(
same i want this seed so bad

Kiwi Playz what’s a tutorial i can use cause all of these look shady
I’ve been wanting to recreate this on PS4 bedrock but I can’t find a seed to replace this one.
He has given the seed in the description
To answer any new questions about it. Yes, he does fix the four block space that's supposed to be five block space, where the staircase will be. 5:45 No, he doesn't let you know.
Hi I'm new to your channel but absolutely love your builds! You mention giving us the seed but after watching this video there's no more mention about it? I'd really love to build on it so would really appreciate you taking the time to share it. Thanks Angie :)
Hi Angela, welcome to the channel. You may have missed the seed I did bring it up on screen in the command box, but I always leave the seed in the video description so you'll also find it there and it's easier to copy and paste. Thanks 👍😀

You’re a life saver!
Great video, wish I had found this earlier, I am quite ancient in age, downloaded your texture pack but can’t get it to load, help please. I have windows 10
Hi Graham, no problem buddy. There are normal 1 of 2 things that stop texture packs from working, so first of all the file must be extracted or unzipped as minecraft 1.13 doesn't allow zip files any longer, so do this before you place in in your resource folder. If that doesn't work then just double check that the file didn't get put into an extra folder, sometimes unzipping or extracting files puts them into an extra folder. So open the folder and if there is only one file inside this means it has been so put that file into the resource pack folder instead. I hope this helps, let me know if you still have any issues getting it to work 👍😀
thanks, however, i have downloaded winzip, unzipped your texture pack and find i don't have a clue how to get it from computer into minecraft, as your videos are so informative could you knock out one on how to do it?
No problem buddy, it's not as complex as it seems, but I will get on done as soon as I can 👍😀
Just tried creating this world in 1.18. Wow is it different! Would have to do some serious terraforming to come close being able to follow along. Could be fun!
Maybe more of them, maybe you can extend it.
Thanks buddy, I do plan on extending it as the series goes on 😀😀
In one word? Awesome!
