One of my all time favorite solo, shit swings so hard.
0:34 I love how Mr.Blakey pushes Lee with his ride to make that nice dynamic crescendo
great solo, thanks for the transcription
There is a mistake on the bar 35. There should be a whole empty bar. This was skipped!!
He is just killing it here

This is in C (Concert Pitch)
This is in concert pitch
When transcribing a solo, you should transpose it to the key of the instrument, in this case Bb. Unless my ears are mistaken, this appears to be in concert pitch. Excellent otherwise, though!
trumpet works in any key!
maycmazz 99% of the time in jazz trumpets are in Bb
Amen
well this is for guitar and C instruments!
he has "guitar" in his user name. dont think it wouldve done him much good to transcribe it in Bb as he plays a C instrument
Jazz Messengers, so greasy. Sit at the bar and listen.
Great! Just add chords ^_^
f blues
@Austin Martín Hernández Just four chords over the solo: Fm7 Abm7 | G7 C7
Is 1:48 a quote from cliff brown?
Tevita Teulilo yep! It's from Clifford's solo on Cherokee
I apologize! It's actually from Clifford Brown's solo on Jordu!
Alex Banning As soon as I heard it I knew it was the same line from cliff's jordu solo, really nice rhythm on it.
The one riff in bar 53 is from Jordu but what he does with it in the next couple bars to the end is just beautiful.
