    Yes, yes, yes!!! More, more, more!!!Thank you Daniel! I'm a beginner cellist and I've been looking to incorporate much more groove in my cello playing, like I do on other instruments. It's been hard to find good examples of others doing it. I'm so glad I found you! The world needs more resources like this.

    Is chop bad for your strings or bow?

    • @groovecelloacademy
      @groovecelloacademy  3 роки тому +2

      No. I’ve seen folks w poor technique scrape their bow or break a bow hair, but played well and without excessive force there’s zero danger/damage to the bow stick or hair

    I would try this but im scared to mess up my bow...

      No worries! You get to decide how much force you use. 😂 No reason to be too hard on your bow - it’s just a scrape of the hair along the strings. And it’s not as forceful as you might think. Do beginners occasionally lose a bow hair or two? Sure. :) But once you get the hang of it, there is no danger to the bow. Consider if you’ve ever dropped your bow while trying to play with a relaxed hand! Many of us have. That’s dangerous. This really isn’t. :) I hope you’ll try it!
