Got one. Love it. Live on a dirt road, and when I get on tarmac covered in dust and bug guts, the sport bike blokes get a bit of a surprise to find out it's not just a trail bike haha. They will eventually beat me, but they have to work for it!

Bin mit meiner 2023er XT und Sportauspuff 235km/h bergab auf der Autobahn unterwegs gewesen. Einfach ein tolles Bike!❤

Very nice bike. Had a chance for a test drive back in July. Liked it very much. If I were to buy one, I would choose standard version with 19" front wheel for maneuverability.

I got a "road edition" one since I mainly ride on asphalt. Advantages over the DE, other then the obvious numbers on the specs sheet:
-taller and adjustable windshield, as in no tools required;
-adjustable seat height (855/875);
-tubeless tires;

I already tested this great bike. Less power than my GSX-S1000F but it's quiet enough for funny riding and also comfortable. Great bike, maybe my next one!
GSX-S1000F is also a very nice bike :)
But up to 120 Km/h they must be about the same in acceleration because of better torgue in low rpm for 1050DE
Du kommst doch bestimmt bald an eine GSX-8R. Mich würde mal interessieren ob die länger übersetzt ist oder ob sie genau so langsam ist wie die nackte 8S.
jo, viel fehlt bei der nackten nicht zum Drehzahlbegrenzer. Zur Übersetzung habe ich bei der GSX-8R jetzt auch noch nichts gesehen. Ich denke dass mit optimaler Übersetzung maximal 215 drin sind.
Yamaha hat ja von der MT-07 auf die R7 auch ein kleineres Ritzel hinten verbaut, dadurch und sicher auch durch die bessere Aerodynamik ist sie dann ebenfalls knapp 15 km/h schneller als die MT@@MotoMika

thanks :) yes, I always take the GPS speed into account to measure the acceleration.

The better acceleration of the DE compared to the XT comes from the different chain ratio (xt-17/41, DE 17/45)
right now we don't habe the XT version in Germany
Doch haben wir, ich zumindest habe/hatte beide, von daher kann ich sie gut vergleichen.
@@michaelhoryna1 ich meinte dass kein Neufahrzeug als XT angeboten wird. Aktuell wird nur die DE als Neufahrzeug von Suzuki in Deutschland angeboten.

Wait why does the DE only get upto 205 (128mph) when the base line 1050 (and XT) can get to 270 (168mph)

@@NeilerMosquera sounded like he topped out. I don't know the final drive gear ratio. Maybe he has more teeth on the rear wheel than what comes stock in America.
the V-Strom 1050DE is electronically restricted in Topspeed.
@MotoMika ah. So I guess the only way to fix that is loop the speed sensor and install an aftermarket one. 😈

Die ist tatsächlich langsamer als meine SV650 von 2003. Ich hätte gedacht die geht mindesten die 205 Km/h im Schein. Eigentlich ja kein Kriterium bei so einem Motorrad . Aber das ist doch eine bisschen arg wenig.
die ist elektronisch abgeriegelt. Geht immer genau die 194 per GPS

Die DE ist auch anders übersetzt als die 1050XT (xt-17/41, DE 17/45) daduch beschleunigt sie schneller und kann niedertouriger gefahren werden, was auf Kosten der Endgeschwindigkeit geht.

La v strom 1000 de 1 ère génération fait largement mieux niveau vitesse max.

At top speed, yes. Try acceleration with this same car, the Vstrom will be on Mars by the time a normal car hits even 50kph.
