Karl Guenther flies in Dumfries Flying Club with 20 members, on the west side of Scotland, The Solway Federation and also Scottish National Flying Club. Some of his recent results with his pigeons from Thorsten Daum of Germany. He has won 1st & 2nd Open 1st & 2nd Section Newbury 271 miles Scottish National Flying Club against 2842 pigeons. 1st open 1st section Alencon 485 miles winning the Gold Cup (The Kings Cup) against 1556 pigeons. 4th open 1st section Falaise 457 miles against 2366 pigeons also in the same race he clocked the 1st yearling in his Federation and he took 15th Section, 91st in the S.N.F.C. The following year he won Alencon. 1st & 2nd South section Eastbourne 340 miles 79th & 80th open Scottish National Flying Club 4243 pigeons. 16th Open S.N.F.C Newbury 3918 pigeons. Last year 2011 from Marlbough S.N.F.C 264 miles he took 10th 36th 52nd 122nd 154th Open from 4960 pigeons. He also has a good number of other good positions in S.N.F.C. As for club races 2011 he won 13 of 18 races winning 1st, 2nd, 8th & 9th federation from Ripon 2234 pigeons 107 miles 1st 2nd 3rd 9th Section Worksop 509 pigeons 158 miles. 1st 2nd 6th & 7th Section Ripon 479 pigeons 107 miles. In the past he has been voted Federation Runner up in 2004, 2006, 2011 and Federation Champion in 2007. P.S This has been achieved with only the Thorsten Daum family of pigeons.

Beg to Differ My Friend one of the best birds I ever flew in the USA was known as the "TERROR" won I.F. + A.U. Champion he never had that breast skin always richer pink towards red with scales it used to drive me mad but he was unbeatable & he was a Alfons Bowens from Geoff Kirkland same for my blue hen called "the Dream" I.F. & A.U. Champ she was a Verheye from Rex Doe two of the Greats in the pigeon sport & in the off season both won many shows for me a dream to handle & they won from 100 to 500

gr8 vid. So many ppl view pidgeons as vermin, a burden on society, yet if only they did a bit of research they'd learn that pidgeons served as messengers during the 2 world wars and saved thousands of lives and the common feral pidgeon lives a very tough short life on our streets with nothing to its name to live on except the occasional generosity of those who may throw it some bread. They do not get half the respect they deserve.
