I would never stop to help anyone at night let alone when I’m all by myself and I’m a large 6’1 man. This was really dumb of him stopping. I’m glad he survived and managed to even hurt the man. What a badass.
It's sad we cant be "good samaritans" any more. Our 2 older boys are 6'3 (18) and 6'3" (16). They stopped to help someone up in the mountain we live near. The 2 guys started acting weird. Nothing in particular but they just got a bad feeling and got in their car and left. I hot upset with them for stopping even though they were just trying to be nice and explained to them all the reasons why they shouldnt do that. It made me sad that people have to worry about stuff like this and not stop to help but better safe than sorry.

As someone who used to work at a CVS for 4 years I have something I want to say. When I worked at CVS (granted it was 2000-2004) I worked the midnight shifts. I know that you HAD to have a manager or supervisor in the store with you. You couldn't be alone. Maybe things changed since then, but I don't see a lone employee being too smiled upon by CVS Corporate. There are too many things you would need a manager for. Change, problem customers and authorization.

Yeah, I call BS on this story as well. If you are working overnight in a branch of a chain, you aren't alone, unless it's in a service tation, and the doors are locked and customers have to come up to the window for service.
@@thelastmotel Maybe it was a smaller location and either it was a franchise with looser rules or the manager was shady and breaking the rules because he didn't take the safety of his employees seriously (or all 3 🤷♂️). I've definitely had my share of shitty managers that put performance/profitability of the store/location over the safety and wellbeing of their employees, even in dangerous/high-crime neighborhoods smh.
And 9 times out of 10, the reason that they put their employees in such abusive/exploitational positions is because they were incompetent at their jobs and they were trying to make up for their shitty plannimg and management at their employees' expense whereas the actual successful managers didn't have to resort to those underhanded tactics to hit their targets. Their stores/locations ran smoothly like a well-oiled machine, they treated their employees with kindness and respect, and their employees were very loyal to them in return.
As long as shitty managers are able to sweep their dirt under the rug because of a toxic company culture or they have buddies in positions to watch their backs, they'll keep doing it until a serious incident occurs that puts their heads on the chopping block. And even then they'll try to place blame for the incident on the employees that were just following their directions if they didn't have the forethought to document anything to cover their ass.

I have a short story that my dad has told me on multiple occasions: Around 20 years ago, my dad helped out with home phones and plumbing at a friends mansion. He would always work while his friend was away so he didn’t bother him. My dad would be working downstairs in the basement and he would here loud footsteps coming from upstairs. He yelled his friends name to get no response. Checked up stairs, nothing. This happened many times when he worked there. On a few occasions he would be walking in the halls upstairs to see a strange shadow moving along the walls and would disappear into thin air. The most scary thin that happened there was that he was waking to go to the basement and right before he reached for the open door it slammed right in his face. Let’s just say he never returned. He asked his friend if he had any same experience and he declined. He still doesn’t know who and what was making the noises to this day.

Once on Christmas Eve it was really weird. I never tell anyone this story but this is it: On Christmas Eve I always sleep in my sister's bedroom on the floor, this night I was actually warm, so at about 11:13 I got up, checked my watch, and opened the window. I got back into bed and went to sleep, at 1:48 I got woken up by a noise on the shed. So I stayed as still as I could in my bed, and I turned my head to look at my sleeping sister, I couldn't tell her, she's autistic and it would make her afraid. I thought of going into my parents bedroom but that would leave my sister alone and what I thought in possible danger. She needed someone to protect her. Me. My heart was beating and I hid my head under my quilt but before I did that I hid my sister's and put her favourite teddy in her arms. Now I don't know why but when I feel in danger I suddenly feel like I could do something evil. I felt this and whipped my covers off I made my eyes feel strange and this made me feel no emotion even though I could feel my heart beating so fast, I peep through the window and see a tiny black figure, I dismiss it as my cat but I realised my cat had gone into my parents room because I'd heard his bell earlier, so I bob down and get in with my sister to make sure she was safe, luckily she didn't wake and I closed my eyes thinking if I was going to die if I did it in my sleep I wouldn't feel the pain. Then I woke up again and it was the next day I forgot all about last night's incident and opened all my presents! I realised nothing strange had happened around the house and nobody was hurt, I remember the black thing I saw and knew it couldn't be the shape of any animal.

The gypsies tried robbing parts of the Porsche and I panicked because it was just me and my sister home alone. Long story short, I shanked a gypsy with a fish gut knife and called the cops.

The thing I love about the Christmas horror stories are the distant, slowed down song. There’s something about Christmas songs that make it so jolly but yet so creepy.

Moonkinz I used to live in a house that backs up to a big public open space where there are hiking trails. Lots of joggers and people walking their dogs.
Anyway, one night I had a kinda creepy dream that an old lady came into my room and was trying to get me to come outside. The dream woke me up so I got some water and turned off my fan because it was cold and then I fell asleep again.
I went right back into the same dream with this old lady coming in my room and calmly saying “You have to go outside now.” I kept telling her no it was too cold. I woke up again and my fan was on. I figured I must have just thought I turned it off or the button got stuck so I got up, turned the fan off and went back to sleep.
This time, I had the same exact dream except she was much older looking in this one and was really agitated. She was yelling “Go outside! You MUST go outside!!” I got up in the dream and followed her to the hallway. When I got to the hallway, she wasn’t there and then I woke up and I was actually standing in the fucking hallway. I have never ever walked around in my sleep before or after this. Also, my fan was on when I went back to my room…
At this point, I was freaked out so I got something to eat and watched TV for a couple hours. I went back to bed around 5 or 6 and the dream didn’t come back.
The fucked up part is a couple of days later, I saw that there were police cars in the open space and when I asked my mom what happened she said they had found an older woman who was reported missing a few days before. She must have had a heart attack or a stroke or something on the trail by my house and they had found the body.

I have a scary story the power went out which ment no wifi I was so scared then I remembered my data plan then ...my heart sank I had no data left so I sat on the couch waiting for the power to come on I nearly died
