Hey Annie I have been a follower of yours for a very very long time I want to say almost 10 years ! I love your vlogs . I recently moved out of Florida and lived in Miami most of my life (>20 years) I know you will do your research and make an informed and smart decision but I would like to give you a piece of advice. I don’t recommend Miami for raising a family, crime increases daily it is very very expensive and the education is not great. Of course some areas are better than others like in any other city ! I love Florida and there is truly no place like it but I would not recommend the Miami area for living. Praying for guidance and clarity in this huge decision to buy a home ! It’s also difficult to get by/get promoted etc if you don’t speak Spanish. It’s pretty wild. Even as a business owner.

Miami is a whole different city within itself actually a whole different state. But when you move up north a little bit like Fort Lauderdale or Boca Raton or even West Palm Beach it’s just as beautiful I would highly recommend those areas my son lives in Fort Lauderdale and it is exquisite they’re just as beautiful as Miami just not all the crime And expensive housing.
I was born and raised in Miami and have lived here my whole life (25 years). I respectfully disagree with this comment. I didn’t grow up in Downtown Miami I grew up in the suburbs (Kendall) area and it was a great place to grow up. I never experienced any crime (to this day) and I had lots of room to play. Yes it has gotten expensive but only because of inflation and so many people moving here has driven up the prices of homes. But that’s everywhere if you really think about it. If you really set your mind to it, you can build a life here according to your means. I also received a great education in the public school system and went to university and graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree on a full scholarship. I work for a great company that is always hiring. There is also always room to start a business here. Not to mention I am Hispanic and I love being around people that share my same culture. At the end of the day it’s up to you but I have never had a bad experience here.
Agreed definitely not a place to raise a family
Miami is a mess to live with a family and it is super hot in summer plus they have hurricane season. I love Florida though, for a vacation.
Annie, Nalia is so cute.
By the way, Miami is very busy, loud, crowded, and expensive. Also, coastal Florida is on the list of places in the U.S. to watch out for severe weather ( think hurricanes), so I would not recommend living there.
I’m not from Miami but have lived here for the past 15 years and my son was born and raised here (he’s 14 now) and I think Miami is an amazing place to raise a child as long as you know the neighborhood and the life style you would like. it has amazing schools and the outdoor living is priceless. My son has been in a private school his whole life so can’t attest to public schools.
I live in the Miami Fort Lauderdale area and I’m telling you Miami is a hugely expensive. You should think about moving into Fort Lauderdale or up Boca Raton.

My cousins and I grew up in germany and went to school there. I moved to Australia snd my cousins moved to america and we finished our schooling in Australia/america. The education in those countries doesn’t even compare to germany. I was in year 12 and the math teacher never even taught topics that I learnt in year 9 in germany.
Annie, you guys should move to Limassol, Cyprus! It's similar to Miami and in Europe! US is not a safe place to raise children these days, with weekly school shootings and high crime rate.
Miami looks incredible ❤ I'm sure you will find a safe and beautiful neighbourhood in case you want to move ❤️❤️❤️ there.
I agree with others regarding raising children in Miami. The best education is in the Northeast but, of course, we don't have the turquoise beaches or year-round sunny weather! If you're convinced on Florida, I'd recommend Jupiter, North/West Palm Beach instead. However, personally, I would send my kids to private school.

My dear Annie. Do your research before moving to the States right now,Specially anywhere in Florida. I’ve been here 24 months due to a job transfers and can’t wait until there is a opening anywhere out of Florida. I honestly don’t recommend raising a Family here.. You are both a young smart couple do your research before you decide to make the move and then regret it.Honestly it’s not safe right now here . Good luck with your decision...😘 Trust me Miami is overrated even in expensive are...

I lived 12 years in Miami and now for 10 months in Europe and I am already taking to be back in Miami asap, I miss the crazy city so much, the beach and the food and yes even the crazy people lol which is funny because I hated it when I was there, now after being away I miss it. Thank you for this vlog, I stayed at the 1 hotel multiple times for staycation and its great how big the rooms are. Enjoy it! Go to Lucali for the best pizza, everything on is my to go to :)

Annie, would you consider somewhere in the Middle East like dubai? Esp for child care, community, safety and support. The US is notorious for being an individualistic society esp when it comes to raising and ensuring children’s safety.

Dubai and LA are both extremely expensive cities to live in which is why they are probably scoping Miami out. It costs a million dollars in Dubai to get like a shack.

Annie I would say there is crime every where so you do what you want for your family. Miami is beautiful and so you can't live your life in fear. You guys like Miami and think it will be where you want to be go for it! I am sure if you moved to Miami you would pick a good neighborhood with good school District Enjoy Life to the fullest!!!!
Would be great to have your family in the U.S.A.! I saw people had some negative comments, but I have quite a few friends/family (with kids) in Florida and they love it.

Hello.. I would not recommend Miami for relocation.. I lived there 3 years and from my experience it’s not the right place to raise a family or to have children.. crime rates are very high plus it’s so expensive.
I love Miami. Check out the hip restaurants & cool scene in the Wynwood district. My favorite.

Jupiter, fl is the BEST PLACE TO RAISE A FAMILY! Our schools are rated very high and it’s gorgeous. On CLEAN beaches. Lots to do but not too crowded.
You always say how much you love SUN and I’m the same. Living here is an investment in your mental health. FL is so fun because you can be OUTSIDE AND ACTIVE all year long!
It’s where we are, it’s incredible! So many kid places too!

Annie love your channel so much! Ive lived in Tampa for 2 years like 15 years ago and it was amazing. Went to miami a few weeks ago and omg dont recommend it at all to raise a family. Just a friendly advise. You should move to Barcelona hehehe❤❤ big hug to you and your family!

Dubai is very expensive but I do think it might be a perfect fit. It really hot though but everything is always air conditioned. And given your backgrounds it would make a lot of sense too. Also a lot closer to Europe and family could easily come visit and vice versa.

Miami isn’t family friendly tho I know some ppl who don’t mind that.. Personally they couldn’t pay me enough to move to the US , I would not subject my kid to the horrific gun violence or food.

I personally have not lived in Miami but have visited many many times. I have family and friends that live there. I can’t stand the humidity😩 It’s awful to me during the main summer months! All my family and friends that live there say they would love to live where live and would move out of Miami in a heart beat if they could. I live in Southern California. Not the LA area. In the very south orange county area (Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Corona Del Mar, San Clemente, Huntington Beach. The weather is wonderful , beautiful coastline, no humidity and a great place to raise a family.

You can find a country that has sun and beaches where guns are not legal. Why would you wish to move somewhere so unsafe especially with a child, school shootings and mentally unstable people with firearms is the last problem you want to worry about.
I agree… the US has been a dream for people for many years but it is now not desirable anymore. Not only the gun violence, the politics in Florida and all the south, but the hurricanes and natural disasters in Florida are just not worth it. Florida is a great place to visit and even now I’m afraid to do so with everything going on.

You should come visit Atlanta Georgia we are on top of Florida and there are a lot of beautiful places to live is more cheaper than Miami and we don’t get tornados or hurricanes here. We also have so much nature and mountains and lakes.
