I have lived here my entire life. If you live in Southwest side of Chicago, bordering Evergreen Park, tornado sirens frequently go off. I cannot count the number of times our family has had to go to the basement. I moved to the Southeast side of the city, bordering Hammond, IN and being concerned about tornadoes is much more rare. Look at the UA-cam video entitled “Chicago, the Unknown Tornado Magnet”.

It always saddens me when I see trees destroyed like that. Being tall and majestic doesn't seem to be good for them because storms come along and rip them out of the ground. It really is too bad. All of that beauty disappears in an instant.

As the climate is changing, the storms are getting worse, and even Metropolitan areas are being more impacted by big storms and tornadoes.
