Kevin Nash figures, now with quad tearing action!
+Larry Bundy Jr I got the Syco Sid with breakaway Leg
Larry you legend
My Hogan figure comes complete with an actual creative control card.
I had something close to that, I had a Triple H one with only one leg.
... I later melted it considerably and renamed it "Zack Gowan"... too soon?
smartboy201
I think that flew over your head
In an interview with the Big show, he makes reference to the vibarating action figures. He said they are supposed to be shaking cause theyre so mad.
My mom used to have those vibrating WCW figures......
Wonder what she did with them....
I don't think there were penis shaped wrestlers in WCW.
Hulk Hogan?
I moved in with an ex girlfriend (current at the time of course) and found my Hall and Nash in a box of random shit and ended up using one of them on her that night. She was very hesitant at first, but the desired effects came to be and she never questioned me again....until we broke up.
LOL should of used STING!
A vibrating action figure of "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash... it was only a matter of time, really
And some bad times with the bad guy.....if you know what I mean 😉
@@richcon97 That sounds worse than I think you meant it to be
😅😅😅😂😂😂
That Marc Mero figure looks like a Gears of War character
I thought that too!
He looks like a bootleg Marcus Fenix.
Vibrating action figures, for when mommy needs play time too
+Ryan rogerson But true!
My sister always loved playing ps1 once we got the rumbling controller
Ryan rogerson
so was she
OOH BURN
Zack Morgan they only burn when women share them with eachother.
No mention how the Sting figure in the last set looked like a sad mime that is about to cry? I am disappointed.
+cheezeofages he looked like the fake fat emo sting in wcw
He's sad because he knows where he's going...
Looked like nL Slip.
isn't that how Sting looked in that game Wcw vs nwo world tour lol
i had the maximum sweat figures..i added red food coloring to the water and had hardcore matches
J.R. Barton it didn't stain them?
J.R. Barton Oh, very clever!
Smart
@@TheFEARSlayer01 I know this is *extremely* late, but I think that since it's just dyed water it should be fine?
@@kitttheabsurd hmm you might have a good point lol.
Vibrating action figures. Fun for the whole family
+Fred Lewis at least it wasn't your dad...
+Harry Lewis LOL
Dildo
+kieran sargeant Remember the vibrating broom from Harry Potter?
+kieran sargeant you gat mi ther LOL
A 50 man royal rumble match.
A double ring match.
A hell in a cell rumble match on top of the cage.
My God.....I was a genius as a child! xD.......ignoring the TMNT vs DX matches I had xD
+EliteProductions I don't know, I'd pay to see DX fighting the TMNT at WrestleMania!
all of them were really wcw match types Google it
+EliteProductions That's alright, my brothers and I used to pin the Street Sharks against Undertaker and Bigshow because why not.
lol
+Ulti-Matt Warrior ahh you made that match the never happened, seriously look it up, Rock and HBK have never had a match with one another
7:22 Bret: "That's for turning on me to join the nWo in February 1998 and for some reason, I joined the heel nWo two months later like we never had a grudge, so why are we shooting each other again?"
Official federation sweat is spelt wrong
God damn that lion figure that came with Jericho's looks just like the lions from Circus Charlie on NES.
Show of hands - how many owners of the Maximum Sweat Wrestlers filled them with red food coloring or fruit punch instead, to turn them into Busted Open Brawlers, shedding more blood than a hemophiliac (or Jun Kasai) in a razor blade factory?
I personally never tried, nor owned one, but that was the second thought I had when I saw them in stores. (The first was "you gotta be kidding me...")
+Sean Wilkinson I got a Maximum Sweat Shawn Michaels for a birthday as a kid, and after quickly getting bored of it I tried filling it with ketchup but that didn't work out too well
+Mitchell Quondam rip
kis. if you want to go out for a
Is it just me or does that marc mero figure look like Marcus From Gears of War?
+Bright Heart I thought the whole line looked like Gears of War in general, but yes, that is exactly where my mind went at first too
+Bright Heart I thought the whole line looked like Gears of War in general, but yes, that is exactly where my mind went at first too
I remember when I played with wrestling action figures, I always had a red felt tip pen with me,
MoonlightStrider ...and? What did you do with it? lol
Wrestling With Wregret Well let's say CZW and ECW combined couldn't beat the bloodshed I caused xp
MoonlightStrider It was all about picking scabs and rubbing there faces in it. Gross. Sure . Fun . You bet
+MoonlightStrider why not use water miked with red food dye and flour ( to make the red water thick like real blood
+Gabriel gustafson Heeeey, that's a good idea. thanks, dude. :D
The Y2J lion looks like a cat that's been to the vet and fitted with an anti- lick e- collar.
That sweating Road Dogg figure just reminds me of Abe from the Oddworld series
I want the Chris Jericho lion-cat!!!
If you put red food colouring in the Max Sweat figures you could make them bleed from literally every pore...Could call them Medium Style Abdullahs...
This needs to be a recurring segment.
Also, did some of these have comic tie-ins? I could've sworn I saw a Marvel copyright on the Ring Masters figure.
They probably used the same foot mold for all the WCW action figures at that time and since Hulk Hogan was in WCW and had a deal with Marvel to use the Hulk name it was there to save money and not use multiple foot molds
@@freeparking301 WCW and Marvel actually had a closer relationship than I thought at the time. There was a Sting-led WCW Marvel comic circa '92, and there was a co-branded line of figures called 'Slam Force' that came with tie-in comics around 2000.
Maybe this was part of that.
@@wagdawgwag872 That’s pretty cool stuff, I didn’t know it went that deep so I’m sure that could be part of it too and that working relationship dating back to before Hogan was in the company had to have made thing run smoothly when it came to the rights to using the name “Hulk” over there
Toybiz. That's why. Toybiz.
"What on earth are you supposed to do with a vibrating piece of plastic?"
Impromptu vibrator?
Looney Bird it's funnier when it's unsaid. You successfully ruined the joke.
good
6:44 That was actually based off of his unmasked look in the comics (yes, he did unmask in the comic, long before the toy).
3:58 that Road Dogg looks like Joker from Arkham Asylum
lol, I guess that's was the idea WB game, came up with the idea of what the Joker would look like if he was on steroids.
Steroid joker?
Yep.
The regular one kinda looks like Rick Steiner lol
THANK YOU. I've seen this video like five times now and could never figure out what that reminded me of.
The Austin STOMP figure looks like a muscular version of Nosferatu!
I bet anyone who bought the Marc Mero action figure was hoping it came with Sable.
I wish I came with Sable.
+Gamers Anonymous the best thing about Marc Mero's gimmick was everyone chanting Sable during his matches and him getting jealous. well if you want Sable you have to go through Brock first.
+Dave Hobbs He was good at first, but I totally agree about the Sable bit. She has definitely not aged well, so Brock can have all...that.
Dave Hobbs I just realized thats what fans are doing with Rusev and Lana...
I actually enjoyed his run as Mero the boxer. Some good matches and some good moves.
The Mark Marro Stomp figure looks like Dom from Gears Of War
yes
+Brandon Cortez i thought the same thing
Austin looks like the Bat Boy from the National Enquirer
3:20 looks exactly like the guys of the Gears of War series
"That's weird what is this button here?"
I can't be the only one who expected an Allahu Akbar after that
mikevismyelement Make i hate mars bars.
If someone ever does a YTP of Wrestling With Wregret episodes, that would be perfect lol
Or the classic "What the fu- BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!"
@@megamarsonic that joke never gets old
Dude that WWF trucker hat is amazing.
Where did you get it?
+Crews Found it on eBay, many moons ago back when I was in college!
Acutally if u bought a wrestling dvd at fye it came with with it it was a john cena promo
The vibrating WCW figs didn't even have any explanation as to what the vibration gimmick was for. It's like those bootlegs you'd see Phelous talk about where they have a pointless little chest light.
“Austin 3:16 says I just shot your ass.” Best line ever
That Maximum Sweat Billy Gunn action figure looks like Steven Tyler dyed his hair and then fused with the very essence of horse steroids.
I knew that Billy Gunn's face reminded me of someone...It's Steven Tyler! The face shape and the lips are like almost the same! LOL
The billy gunn stomp figure is especially hilarious considering the circumstances of his release
Austin 3:16 says I just shot your ass! Peew! *drop*
Okay this NEEDS to be a meme! I can't stop laughing!!!
Billy Gunn's maximum sweat figure looks like Gary Busey
Ur a Greek
I just have one thing to say no Scott Steiner figure will ever be detailed enough
LOL...the Billy Gunn one looks like Dolph Lundgren now and days.
I don't think that Kurt Angle was around in 1999... So did you mean to wear it Brian or..?
Gaah, you caught me! Actually, Angle debuted in November of 99, but that shirt didn't come out until around Royal Rumble 2000.
+Wrestling With Wregret I got the joke lol
+Wrestling With Wregret I had a wrestling figure of the undertaker once. His coat was only half removable, so I could only take off his jacket and was left with an undertaker-hardy mix, since I couldn't remove his sleeves.
Kolby Rios he actually debuted at survivor series 1999
He was
you need to do another one of these, featuring the Sting that has a scorpion monster body
2:46 Steve Austin looks kinda like an angry Voldemort that got a spray tan. XD
We used fake blood with our Sweat wrestlers,. WcW also came out with a sweat wrestler line too they where bigger than the WWF ones.
The whole sweat thing was general misdirection. They wanted to make figures that could bleed but they figured no toy retailers would stock them, so they made them sweat instead and figured kids were smart enough to put two and two together and get some food coloring or cherry koolaid packets. My cousins had all those figs and we always filled them with food coloring and water.
i had the undertaker sweat figure lol and nice touch with korn playing when writing to jakks
the scuba austin looks like he's turning into snitsky
Tbf, those Ring-Masters had some good ring-grear, I still have the Hitman, and without the hat etc, he looked great. I actually always wanted Bret to wear that outfit to the ring.
Just been watching some of your reflections on failed storylines and pushes and now watching this. The action figure world was where bad booking decisions and missed opportunities could be solved! My Invasion storyline was far better as a kid and involved Raven having a lengthy WWE title run. Tazz also won the WWE title and had an epic feud with Chris Jericho over the belt. Ah, good times!
Had a DDP one where all u can do is make the diamond shape with your hands with a button. All u could do. It sucked.
Yep I had that one
WWE had a whole line of those...
Giant was slightly more articulated but would grasp and lift (came w/ a Mini-Rey w/ extend-o-neck for him to grab)
Scott Hall could only really do the Razor's edge toss
Sting would open his arms for a stinger splash (but had a Faux Leather trench coat that hindered the Flex... and If you removed his jacket his Shoulder Joints were visibly wonky
Hogan had a punching motion... but his Left arm could lock in place (to hold the victim) but unless you did so, there was a huge slab missing from his left Pec
the Sculpts as a whole weren't horrible, but they were so focused on the "squeeze legs-Do things" play Gimmick it felt like they ignored any further articulation/play value
I almost shed a tear watching this thanks Brian 😢 Good times. I really miss my brother.
Love how u showed that JTS figure first, that figure was my favorite action figure as a little kid and even though I usually had Jake beating Ted, and Bossman, and even yes, Hogan and Warrior used to do the job for Jake in my ring, Taker was the only wrestler who ever had matches he won against Jake I think until I got a SCSA figure
lol I had the Goldberg w/ Jackhammer when I was a kid
Aru Hapimarika I still do. No package, just the figure and jackhammer.
The rubber toys were way more durable, until you get to that sharp metal piece lol
I never had many wrestling action figures. I think I just had Mankind (he moved his arms in a hugging motion to simulat using the Mandible Claw from behind) and an Ultimate Warrior with "bone crunching action" (the elbows and knees made snapping noises).
I mostly just used my X-Men, Spider-Man and Batman figures as wrestlers.
I liked that unmasked Kane, that was way better than the actual reveal.
I had literally every stomp n max sweat figure n remember my frustration at my inability to suspend my disbelief that they could have exsisted in the same univeres as my jakks d.t.a series dudes
Wow, I actually had one of those vibrating action figures as a kid. Mine was Hollywood Hulk Hogan.
The worst wrestling related "toy" was the Septic Sludge accessory pack by Jakks.
If that Stomp Kane was worth a lot when this video came out, he aint worth it now! $10 on eBay.
Space Marc Mero without his helmet looks like he belongs in Gears of War
I had that Gangrel toy! I thought it was strange to make him sweat, when I just wanted him to spit blood lol
Back in the day I'd have my WWF and wcw figures interact it was great the Titan tron live figures were fucking awesome
+Ryan Keefe I bet it was better than the invasion storyline.
+trustobey1016 you damn right
I still have the titantron and a lot of those figures, great times
i actually love the jericho lion tamer figure
For me that Road Dogg figure at 04:34 is the most crappiest figure of all time. The “normal” one not the buff one.
I was in college when I bought the Kevin Nash vibrating action figure. I laughed and laughed. It was too funny.
Mr. Ass Gary Busey 4:42
Not sure if you are aware, but Netflix has an amazing show called "The toys that made us". The latest season features wrestling action figures. Definitely worth a watch.
I love how Mar Mero's eyes are looking in a different direction each 😂
I actually still have the Goldberg with the Jackhammer figure, it was the first wrestling figure I ever owned...oh the nostalgia.
Oh god I had one of those sweating action figures. I thought it'd be cool to put red Gatorade in there to make it look like he was bleeding. It just stained Triple H a very light shade of pink.
Also why does the Road Dogg one look exactly like Titan Joker at the end of Batman Arkham Asylum
You brought me back I'm 24 and I had a lot of those action figures growing up even vibrating Nash, sting, and Lex Luger and I see yours are knicked up like mine were
That gun falling out of that one figure's hand after they stop shooting each other is hilarious, and I don't know why.
Lol I had the sweating Shawn Michaels, The Chris Jericho Ring Master, and the vibration Lex Luger
Great vid, You should definitely do some other ones featuring the action figures of the past. When I was a kid in the 80's we had the WWF thumb wrestling figures. One guess where your thumb went. lol I also had a Roddy Piper stretch armstrong type figure. That one was awesome, until it broke and spewed white powder all over the place...good times.
I could see an idea floating around at the time of Kane unmasking and revealing himself to be Undertaker, like, his projected guilt over the incident, or even that Kane was the actual Undertaker and the one we had known this whole time was a demon that had taken his image for its own reasons, looping back around to the two Takers angle in the most McMahon way possible
Kevin Dunn designing action figures trying to make wrestlers not wrestlers. Bucky Beaver strikes again
And if you press the button on Scott Hall, Wyoming explodes! That takes care of the Ready to Rumble guys, at least...
Lolol so true. I watched wwf on Saturday mornings while i used my larger sized GI Joe's and bigger ninja turtles to mimic the wrestling. What a fun childhood
Your right, I did add He Man and TMNT and DC and Marvel guys to my wrestlers, thats why I had 496 wrestlers
Is it weird that submerging that figure made me want to pull out all my old toys and play? Especially now that the snow is melting and I can make forts in it.
My favorite was the WCW vibrating Kevin Nash action figure, with fisting action...We had an open one at a store I worked at, and on our last day being open, I gave it to the girl in the store across from us...I told her to enjoy, and she said she will..lol
Stone-Cold evolving into a sea creature had me choking on my e-cig, thanks Zman for the humor.
I never did see those wcw ring masters I did have the Nash and Goldberg interactive figures and the Raven vs ddp ones where they had magnets to pick each other up and weapons
I had the Jericho lion tamer , and vibration kevin nash, appropriately labeled " the big sexy" vibrating edition.
The reference at 4:29 is gold 🤣
You complete my life, Please keep the videos coming.
"What on earth are you supposed to do with a vibrating piece of plastic?"............*long, thoughtful pause*..........."you got me!!!"
well played, fellas.
My favorite part about S.T.O.M.P. 3 (I have them all...and LOD 2000 isn't as difficult to find these days) is that Mero despised his then-wife so much that he brought her to space with him without a helmet. Savage.
hey man just wanted to leave a comment this was actually a awesome idea for a video and you shot it all so well too great job I remember one christmas as a kid a did ask for some wwf stuff and did get some of them weird sweat wrestlers I was even as a kid like what the hell is this
I really wish there was a mash-up with you unmasking toy Kane and and the toy commercial from the Specials, but like 8 people would get the reference.
Oh.
The maximum sweat figures all looked constipated
I used to love the Remco AWA Action Figures that were made using the same basic design of He-Man figures. I still have my Ric Flair that seemed to be the shortest packed of all of them, easiest to find were The Road Warriors, they were selling those on clearance at Toys R Us near me until the early 90's.
Anyone else think the Marc Mero space armor figure looked like Marcus Fenix from Gears of War 3?
I had Hall, Nash, Sting, and...I forget the other vibrating one I had...they were lame...and I associate Sting with sickness, cause I was sick the day I bought all of them and Sting was the most visible...
thanks for listening...
Great video guys
omg, I got those vibrating action figures as a kid! it was a Hollywood Hogan one as well I believe. I might still have them around somewhere... hmmm lol
fuck "is kane a member of Jem" holy I lost it ahahahahah
The vibrating series, i have Hogan and Benoit
The vibrating figs were made by the Old San Francisco Toy Makers, and I thought their stuff was pretty good, although you couldn't get any of it in the UK for the most part. I didn't bother with the vibrating stuff, but the hard rubber LJN style figs were great, imo. Some nice Sting's came out during that period, similar to the Galoob versions but with more repaints. Also, the Vader OSFTM was a must-have for me! Much better than the weird-looking Jakks version from 1996/1997.
Marc looks like he's joining Gears of war series.
