Some of yall are showing yall racism.. real bad 🤭 I love everybody, not sorry ✌🏾 EDIT for the ones who choose not to understand 🤦🏾♀️ this comment is referring to some of the people in the COMMENT SECTION, black AND white!! NOT the stylists in the video.
Getting a laugh from a child showing pain is disgusting. I was braided by a friend's mom when I was maybe 9yo and she immediately reevaluated her method of pulling when she realized my hair was so gentle. I didn't complain because I was just going with it but bless her for treating me with kindness and for not ripping my hair out!
She’s laughing with the parents who are making jokes. Don’t feed into any narrative without audio or full context. The woman is an African braider and most folk are fine in her chair. Some have extremely sensitive scalp like that child. But she was asked if it was ok to keep going, and she said yes. She wanted braids and the braider is trying to do a good job that lasts. Not everything is nefarious, these short clips have people creating vile narratives slandering innocent folk
This is how the average balck grill childhood is. Maybe if ylal didn't didn't to copy black ppl so bad you wouldn't have to learn the hard way. There should be no reason you're getting hairstyles that work better on afro textured hair
personally i’m terrified of kids and i can’t stand them at all, but seeing how much pain that girl was in and the clear agony from her hair getting pulled was enough to make even me nauseous
@@Mineo77-op4bu I don't seem to recall saying that all braids work on all hair types... 🤔.. although, I haven't found many we couldn't handle in our shop.
One of my friends braided my hair at a party. She said she’d never braided “white” hair before and thought it would be fun. We were drinking, laughing and having a good time. She did great! She never once made my scalp hurt! I’m not tender headed but I feel like even if I was, it shouldn’t hurt! At all!
This was a girl's reaction in the kid's shelter. After she saw my hair was bone straight naturally after it air dried she begged to let her braid it. After she saw how tender headed I was she was beyond excited to "practice braiding straight hair and figuring out how to braid it without hurting your scalp!"
Because she was your friend. These hose get REAL gelly. I bet your friend was pretty and had real hair. If she wasn't she would LOVE to pull your hair out, like the first commenter.
That because you are a decent person. If your laughing at a child's pain there is something wrong with you! You want to prove a point do it with an adult that can defend themselves. Also, if those ppl are hairstylest and doing it for the money, say goodbye to your client! 🙁
@brittjohnson7908 It doesn’t have to hurt. That’s the thing. I’ve done it numerous times and it never hurts them. Also, the comments were completely different than they would have been had the girl been a little black girl.. that’s sad.
Some hairdressers think that you have to pull tighter on Caucasian hair in order for the braid to stay in place. In actual reality, you only have to have damp hair, so that it will shrink into a tighter braid. pulling that tight on any hair type will eventually lead the hair loss. I noticed that you use a different technique and that you’re holding the braid with your fingers and they’re trying to use brute force to keep the braid tight.
The second lady is jerking it like that because she is trying to hurt the girl. Shes grinning like a maniac the whole time. In the full video she is taunting her the whole time too. She knows damn well it doesnt need to be that tight she is trying to hurt her because she doesnt think white girls should have braids
Ya, my mama always braided me and my sister's hair damp. Just French braids to keep it tidy and untangled, but I thought that was common knowledge. Doing your hair might not always feel good but it shouldn't be painful. Noone should be enjoying another person's pain.
It’s so nice hearing women defend these poor children 😭 like the comments broke my heart, imagine her reading those comments so thank you for being a voice for the little ones ❤
I don’t get what funny or see a problem. Braids hurt. You want them deal with it. just like all the little black kids do. I cried when I got mine done too. I lived
@@shanel2011I did and it's false. It all depends on the handling. If you purposely braid tight, anyone will lose hair regardless of what hair type you have. That's why almost every colored woman and men that does "protective hairstyles" have major hair lose.
@@ashash1338 and that’s why i said certain braid STYLES are not meant for certain hair types. really small knotless braids cause too much hair build and up and shedding and this usually gets matted in low density hair. Look it up. Look around. Plenty of proof. Styles like this can be recreated with less tension but that can’t be said for EVERY style. All depending on scalp sensitivity and hair density.
Sadistic and cruel to hurt a child. If you don’t want to braid someone’s hair then deny them service - it is that easy. Adult bullies are the worst because you should know better.
Or y’all need to Understand that certainly braids are not meant for y’all. And instead Of feeling entitled to people culture, and wanna call out racism when the reason comes out. @@Hellolock A very asinine remark to make. "Culture" oh please nothing belongs to a certain race, and there is no racism in my comment. I legit got braids in Jamaica to keep my hair from getting tangled and destroyed from salt water, as I struggled to remember to comb it. Kept my hair off my neck too. The lady never hurt my scalp, never tugged beyond what was needed and was the sweetest woman ever. These women scare me
Then you are lucky but the most hairdressers are NOT used to white peoples straight hair. When curly hair is being braided it needs to EXTRA EXTRA tight or else it will start to frizz after a few days. I’ve had black girls braid my hair and it never hurt, it actually felt good. One time when it was too tight at the end my friend said to me “you need to tell me if it hurts! It’s not supposed to cause PAIN” nothing but respect for people who can braid because I cannot even do a french braid. I don’t understand why these woman are trying to hurt these little girls, their mommas money is just as green as everyone else’s and spends the same. Wouldn’t you want them to come back??

The braiders in the video are Africans and trust me they braid tight as hell!! It’s because they have really good grip. Ive got my hair braided by African Americans and it doesn’t hurt that much. But gurllll, the Africans was braiding my scalp inn!! The style lasted linger that way but to me it isn’t healthy. Also I would like to assume that bc most African Americans do not like white people wearing braid styles like this, they probably refuse to do their hair where as Africans do nit see a problem with it 🤷🏽♀️
I had my hair done twice as a child and the babysitter hit me when I moved and they were so tight and it hurt so bad, my mom had to undo them and my aunt did one time and said I looked like a poodle.
Im black and as a child a BLACK woman did my hair so tight that i fell to the floor crying and it might just be coz my hair is super fragile but sometimes people are just sick even though that woman was actually a really kind hearted person though whom my mom still keeps in touch with
Me too whenever I braid a nonblack person’s hair they always praise me for the fact that it didn’t hurt and I tell them “If it hurts then the braider just doesn’t like you.”
I’ve been getting my hair braided all of my life. That’s 44yrs. There has never been a time when it didn’t hurt. Some people are just tender headed, my daughter is the same. Even when it doesn’t hurt as bad, my scalp turns red and literally radiates heats.
@@Msd4-13 That has nothing to do with my comment. Yes some people are tender headed however if I’m braiding someone’s hair and they tell me “wow this is the first time I’ve ever braided my hair and there’s no pain” that means something.
I used to be friends with a lady who did braids and she asked me to come over to help with her newborn while she was dealing with a client. I did this pretty often since she didn’t really have anyone else to help her out and y’all know these hairstyles can take awhile to do. My friend had this poor lady in tears, bawling her eyes out while getting her hair done in box braids. I’d watched her do hair long enough to know something was off because I’d never seen her make a woman cry like that before. After that lady left, I asked my friend what was up because it just felt too weird not to say something. Her response was just “no offense but I’m sick of you white women taking our hairstyles”. That right there told me she was doing it on purpose, purposely hurting this poor woman because she was white and getting what my friend considered a poc ONLY hairstyle. Yet, she didn’t have a problem taking her money.
I hope you aren't her friend anymore, and frankly, I'd tell people not to go to her. Clearly she will hurt someone. Hopefully that child won't grow up with the same hatred.
I’m white with pancake straight hair, and when I was thirteen I was in Mexico with my friend’s family. A couple of local girls were walking up and down the beach braiding hair, and my friends’ family paid for us to get braids. It didn’t hurt a bit, and I rocked that ‘do for a whole week, beads and all! My hair was none the worse for wear.
They do it on purpose. They do it really tight and uncomfortable to prove something and its horrifying. Im so glad you called these behaviors out! I agree
My mom sent me to my neighbor’s house to do my hair, and I am just wavy. This woman pulled my hair so hard I was practically in tears, and I was about 8 at the time. I had to ask for pain meds when I got back to the house because I was in so much pain. And she didn’t even braid my hair; she was just pulling my hair so hard. Literally. Stop being tough on people’s hair no matter the texture. Gotta be gentle. So true. I agree with you.
I’ll never forget when I was 14, I paid a girl to do two braids and she hocked up and spit in my hair while doing it, I jumped up and it was on!!! After that I have only had people who I trust mess with my hair or my childrens hair. Ish be wild! Treat people better!

We were in a temporary group home housing, I have always been the “Gothic Punk Rock” aesthetic so I was an outcast, a few girls called me a “Freak”, but when she offered to fix my two French braids I thought we were good & I even gave her $10! I sat down and she sat in a chair above me, we were both from Philadelphia and I thought we were getting along and I heard her and felt it🤢 I jumped up and at first I was shook… But I was No Punk and we fought….. I was so embarrassed. And grossed out. I have curly hair and I remembered having to wash my hair and not having curl cream or leave in conditioner so it was frizzy all week until I was approved to go home with my dad….. I’m 37 now, and that has always stuck with me! I am weird about who I let do my hair, and I tell my kids the same thing! I am not sure why anyone would want to hurt someone else, or embarrass another person, Why can’t we treat people as individuals, treat them the way they treat you?! Bless yous❤️

@@djnkazI'm surprised you're shocked. Black hairstylists have been doing this forever to white girls. I'm mixed race, black grandad, but I'm super pale, so because I looked white with frizzy hair they'd treat me like crap. A LOT of little girls get their hair braided while on holiday because its easier to maintain with all the swimming in pools and the salt water ocean, but for some reason only black people can have braids and they used it to torture little girls, make it as miserable as they can as tight as they can and as PAINFUL as they possibly can. Most of the ones who do this nonsense are jealous and extremely racist. And openly say racist sh!t while doing it. And then they play victim when called out. It's EVIL. And the comments show how OPENLY racist the black community is. They're all telling these stylists to do even worse and make them regret ever wanting braids and make it so bad they'll NEVER get it done again. Imagine if white stylist's were screwing over black women and little girls just for wanting blonde and straight hair, there would be riots in the streets and their lives would be in danger! I had my hair braided so badly just like the second one and my mother wasn't willing to take it out straight away, she thought I was being oversensitive. I was in so much agony I barely slept and the next morning and I woke up sobbing and an absolute MESS. the front of my hair was all snapped away and it was so tight I had literal SCABS ALL OVER my skull. It was the worst headache I'd ever had. The damage took WEEKS to heal and my hair took YEARS to fix. And the front has always been super brittle since and never fixed itself. It's been 20 years. This is straight up child abuse and a violent assault. These women KNOW what they're doing and are PURPOSELY trying to hurt little girls because they're white. They're purposely injuring them and trying to destroy their hair. Which is so stupid because all they're doing is costing themselves money. Because these mothers will warn EVERYONE they know that you're a psycho and NEVER go to you. Nobody hates on black hair more than black people. But yet they blame it entirely on white women and are extremely bitter and jealous. I went to a black stylist as an adult, wanted to support a new business that had just opened, and she tried to destroy my hair. Oh and my nails. This ISN'T just braiding. They're doing it across the board. But it's racist to call it out. So it's ignored and keeps happening. Personally I'm sick of it and wouldn't risk myself again. My best friend had her wedding ruined after a black hairstylist PURPOSELY sewed in her hair extensions FAR too tightly and OBVIOUSLY she couldn't take them out and have it redone in time. So she spent her wedding crying in agony and her honeymoon in agony with scabs and ripped out chunks of hair. She was marrying an African guy and they REALLY didn't like that. They kept making snide comments the entire time about black men daring to marry white women. They ripped apart everything about her. After all his African female relatives saw her and the damage on her wedding day they were LIVID. Because THEY had recommended this place. They didn't even consider they'd treat her differently. They all went over to the salon the day after the wedding and kicked up a HUGE fuss. They got her money back along with the cost of having it undone. They're a huge influence in their community and let's just say the salon no longer had many customers left. It was shut down under 3 months later. Since then they do her hair if she wants extensions in. Most of the stylist's just seem jealous and bitter. They hate their hair and hate that you have something they want. So they try destroying it purposely. I know people who were kids in the 2000s who have PERMANENT bald patches in their hair BECAUSE of BRAID'S! I know girls who had so much damage and literal RIPS in their SCALP from the assault that had to have ALL of their hair SHAVED OFF to treat it! Some of these "women" are absolute RACIST MONSTERS. Complete and utter animals using their skill to abuse innocent children because of their skin colour. Something they have ZERO control over. I have frizzy hair and I really could have done with their help because white stylist's only see me as white and don't understand that my hair ISN'T as white. 😂 They never injured me and I always left looking great. But I'd love to have had help on how to actually care for my natural curls. Instead I just always do a beach wave blow out. 😂 Black people complain that their businesses feel limited to the black community, which obviously limits success. BUT then they also whine if white people support them. So WHAT do you want!?! ☠️🤡☠️🤦♀️🙅🤷♀️🤣 Black people like to monopolise racism and claim that they're the only ones who can suffer it but in reality they're the ONLY ONES still being OPENLY racist. My black African grandfather married my white Irish grandmother and black guys killed HER for marrying a black man and daring to have children. I've genuinely never actually heard anything racist from my white family. But I HAVE heard LOTS of racism from blacks and poc. And I HAVE suffered from the physical abuses of racist blacks and poc. Because I'm too white. While they call Megan markles kids black... ☠️🤡☠️🤦♀️🤯🤷♀️🤣
I was in pageants as a small tot. My mom got me the sew ins because I liked to wear the long hair after the whole thing was over for awhile. Felt like a queen. The artist/braider who worked on me was an angel. She always asked me if I was comfy and brought me candy sometimes. I still work with her, beautiful lady and she can turn out some hair. No matter the hair texture, she can do it.
We as Black, African & Caribbean people need to DECIDE to do the right things. For God is watching & karma comes back full force!! Never have I seen good braiders do this. Good braiders can braid their OWN hair and others without pain!! And to intentionally hurt a child of ANY race is a criminal act. Me and others have braided hair of Black, White, Asian, Indian and mixed with no issues. Spritz the straight hair with water to keep it tidy. Curly hair I like to braid without the extension--only natural hair. It grows faster and the fake hair will not damage the natural curls. Ask any Black man who gets his hair braided or locs. His braider is not rough and does not pull as she braids.
A black lady braided my hair once and she was so sweet. My mom was afraid i couldnt handle it but she was very gentle. She put a ton of beads in it for me too. I loved it. Then i went to my daddys for the weekend and he took them all out and i cried.

The media says this is not only okay- that the little girl deserves it because of her skin color. That first baby is in so much pain but she’s trying to be so strong. The second woman was intentionally pulling tightly but while the first one doesn’t look to be doing it intentionally, that little girl’s face was all the proof she needed to know she was being too damn heavy handed.
I agree with you regarding the negative comments. Folks need to be better people and realize these are kids. Mocking at a child is plain old bullying, and that’s just disturbing, especially when it’s the adults doing it.
I hate to say this but in my own experience most black women that have braided my hair have been so rough that they were actually pulling out hair. I finally found a braided that was good with braiding my hair even though I am a Latina. And this woman told me that they were doing it in purpose because they didn’t want me to have the braids in my hair and hoped that I’d take it out if it hurt too bad and wouldn’t come back
My aunt Laurie used to braid my hair.. my cousins are all mixed(white and african) she would braid tight but she absolutely never hurt us. She was such a cool woman. Man, I miss her ❤
I love how gentle you are, it should be that way regardless of race because theyre children! All babies need to be treated with gentleness and like theyre all princesses because all they want is to look beautiful.
As a white person, white hair gives less friction so it's easier to pull too hard, and it also loosens way quicker. No one is doing it too tight to prove a point, white hair just isn't made to sit in these hairstyles for longer than a day or two at most and not every black hairdresser knows that or knows the texture of white hair well enough to braid it differently. "You don't pull that hard on black hair" you do, black hair just has more resistance so it ends up pulling back more than white hair, that's why when a white person does black hair for the first time it's almost always too loose or too tight. "It doesn't hurt that bad" plenty of black women talk abt how tight and uncomfortable their hair is for the first day or two, but because their hair can hold the style it, it loosens to comfort, white people hair cannot loosen to comfort because it loosens to being undone, so while you can do black hair a little too tight you have to get white hair right on or else it will hurt. There are plenty of white people out their who's ponytails or buns or braids are too tight but that's because straight hair doesn't resist pulling whereas curly coily hair does.
I learned how to braid at a Renaissance fair. At the fairs they braid so many different styles and textures of hair. They also braid on adults and children. The leader of this group uses and teaches a method of braiding that puts the tension on the hair and not on the scalp… it was a completely painless experience for myself and every single person sitting in the tent. I really think it’s a technique thing. People need to stop pitting themselves against each other over braids. Braids have been worn by humans for thousands of years across all different cultures. Intentionally making a kid suffer or getting joy out of them suffering because somebody’s pulling their hair is honestly rude and suspect af… some of y’all should really reevaluate yourselves
I, a mixed black girl, once got braids at a stylist my African dad recommended. I know braids can be tight but the amount of strain on my scalp was insane. When they were taken out, I had so many broken hairs and fall out that when my hair was wetted it matted in the shower and I had to cut my hair to a bob. Refused so cut my hair for years to grow it all back
I don’t know why but the second stylist just made me SO MAD. Like, she was pulling with all her strength and SMILING, she was making sure it was hurting. And that poor girl! She was trying so hard not to cry. I hope she never went back there.

@@djnkazI don't get it why they are so rude. What's wrong with white girl having braids. Braids are not race thing everybody use them. Are they intentionally trying to hurt that girl.
I CAN NOT imagine the pain she was feeling. It’s sick, sadistic, and cruel to laugh at a child genuinely in pain. What makes this even worse is that the people who are commenting (at least majority) ARE ADULTS!! It’s absolutely disgusting and shameful to say “Braid harder” to a child who is bawling their eyes out. THE MOTHER CAN READ!! STOP THE LIVE, ITS NOT THAT HARD! To record YOUR daughter (or any child) going through ANY SORT OF PAIN is nasty.
As someone who is white but does have curly hair imagine some kids wanted their hair braided because they have curly hair and then they're hair gets treated like this. I couldn't imagine how much that would hurt like it's not always the hair type sometimes it's the person handling the clients hair Edit: also i have a kinda coily curly hair type btw
I'm white and my neighbor used to braid mine all the time, I loved it. I was a busy mom and braiding meant I could skip a few days between washes for my super oily hair. She moved and I found another lady willing to braid it for me. She charged me 100 bucks and I had to take them out the same night, and even then I lost a lot of hair. I later found out she said, Bet that white pos won't be back! I honestly think she was pissed I was getting braids
im glad stuff like this is being pointed out, i don’t know when it became normalized to just be rude and hate on others but it needs to stop. i hope we can normalize being decent and respectful people to create a better society for future generations. if this behavior doesn’t stop now imagine how it’s gonna be in the future, i don’t want that for my future children 😕
Iam white, with unruly thick hair and over sixty, have always wanted my hair braided ( to tame it ) . It has always fascinated me how talented you all our with your hair and I enjoy watching your videos on UA-cam . I was hopeless braiding my daughters hair . I did guess some children found the experience painful but the end result was beautiful and amazing.
I've gotten my hair braided as a non black person, and it didn't hurt at all! Y'all are so good at your jobs. But some people are just horrible and try to rush
My lil cousin had her hair done by one of these ladies and ANOTHER braider ran up on them and said get your devil finger off that child hair. Literally smacked her hands away from my cousin's head, chased her off and took over for free. Said some of the aunties at the beach doing braids would purposefully braid the lil white girls heads so tight that it scalped them or theire scalps would swell so bad it would almost swallow the braids. They ask and make aure the lil kid is going home in a day or two so nothing will be done about it. She got a juicy tip from my uncle of course. Was just shocked that someone would that on purpose
I had a roommate from Belize that used to braid my hair when I lived in South Florida. Never once was it uncomfortable. Not once did it hurt. And her braids were super tight.

When I was around six year old I remember my mom and grandma asking how I wanted my hair done, and I always admired box braids, goddess braids that I’d see on tv. I thought it was so beautiful and intricate. They laughed at me, telling me “that’s only for black people” like ughhhh I knew it was wrong, even at six year old. It breaks my heart when people preach all day about inclusivity yet those are the same people gatekeeping. I always wanted a sister, we could braid each others hair.i got two brothers and that’s okay too.
Well if you want box braids get them, but don’t be surprised if the experience, the end result and the consequences on your hair aren’t what you expect. Also trust me as a black who did get box braids when I was younger they were so painful for me
Box braids can cause damage to all hair types if they are pulled too tightly. In general, people without textured hair (curly) should not used box braids long-term because they cause too much tension for non-texured hair and cause balding and damage the hair. Please. Don't box braid. There are other variations designed for non-textured hair types.
That's really sad they laughed at you, I had a teacher in middle school, white, was the only one to tell me shit when I had box braids, I actually got kicked out of school for those braids, I refused to remove them 😂 I'm too tired to write the whole story, but I did write it on Quora. I would say get those braids, but like the other comment, be aware, ppl don't mind their business and might have something ugly to say, it's weird cause back in 95,96 that wasn't an issue, but now ppl have used social media as a tool to divide, I'd say, you never know anymore.
My family heavy handed and braid just like this, not to prove a point lol I think they just didn’t know what they were doing and thought gripping the hair tighter would help with slicker hair. Not everything has to be malicious. They should’ve gotten a braided with a similar texture.
Finally I’ve found an intelligent and beautiful woman who doesn’t discriminate against white people or any skin color in general ❤these days you can never go without seeing people hate on white people just because of what their ancestors did YEARS ago🤦🏾♀️and the fact that they think that just because they’re black they get to do whatever they want smh🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️thank you again for showing compassion to those who deserve it😊😇❤️( I started a war in my comments💀)
Thank you for the nice compliments 🥹🫶🏾 I definitely believe in doing the right thing no matter what. And I agree, what our ancestors endured was the worse form of hatred one can experience, but no sense in doing what the white ancestors did by taking it out on innocent people who, hopefully, aren’t contributing to the hatred that is racism. Just praying for a better world 😞 🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️
@@djnkaz yeah and as a white girl I can confidentially say in most cases the white ppl who are racist aren't the ones willing or wanting to try or wear braids. So these people really just be hurting allies when they do this🤦♀️ And as a queer woman I like hate how the internet has decided what's best for minorities is to gatekeep our cultures cause obviously the answer to discrimination and segregation is doing it some more🤣 It's good to see people are waking up from all this madness tho because it's just doing more harm then good for all parties involved.
@Glasses thank you for adding to the conversation. No one is trying to erase history, we are simply trying to get past it and hopefully make things better. My argument, as mentioned, is the fact that grown adults were laughing at, mocking and asking for the braids to be tighter on the child simply because she is white. Yes, little black girls experience braiders who braid tightly as well but the comments are a complete 180! You have people in the comments going to bat, telling the stylist to stop braiding so tightly standing up for the little black girl. The same people laughing and saying braid tighter in reference to the white girl would be the ones yelling and having a fit if it were a little black girl. That’s all I’m saying.
Amen! Your commentary is 💯% the truth! I had my hair rowed out once and I felt like my whole skull was being ripped apart. Some people have no empathy for others. ❤
I've always wanted to get braids with extensions but I've been afraid of looking ignorant of the culture it comes from. Even after educating myself about the culture I don't want to look like I deserve to cherry pick whatever cultures traditions I want. I've had a few black friends tell me nah, don't do it. I'd love to hear what other black women think about this. Last thing I want to do is offend anyone.
A lot of braiders are heavy handed. Or they believe in tightness = neatness. I'm tender headed, and it hurts to comb my hair sometimes. Been going to one braider for the past 4 years, and my hair has thrived ever since. No headaches, no tears, no painkillers. Lol
As a black girl, I have trauma from braiding hair so much that I had a small phobia towards hair salons. I had to learn to braid my own hair cause others doing it always put me in pain
@@nickeni3050 So sorry about what you went through 🙏 I completely understand you. I hated hair salons as a kid. The braiders didn't take my pain seriously. So I begged my mum to let me cut off all my hair. She listened. Didn't go to a hair salon after that, up until university🤣
Whenever I was a little girl my family took a trip to the Bahamas and a beautiful black woman braided the side of my hair with those kind of braids and at the end would be and she took such good care of me and I can’t wait until I can save up enough money to take a trip there again.❤😊
This reminds me of the time I was one of like. Three white folks working at a daycare that was mostly black and latino, and one of the little girls with 4c hair asked if she could try braiding my (at the time, barely wavy bc I didn’t take care of my curls) hair. She was struggling so hard and when I told her (gently) that she was hurting my head, I remember her stopping and going “why doesn’t it braid right?? The twists don’t stay in!” And I had to explain that her hair was so so so much finer than mine, and her curls are what helped her braids stay in, and that I didn’t have any of that. I think she pouted at me about it 😭
@user-ex8xf9fr7u it was literally just a cute story that was similar to the content of the video, but in a much more wholesome context. The little ones came from an area where there just weren’t many white folks living so it’s not like they’d have had much of a chance to try to braid white hair. They were like four. They’re like. Allowed to discover things.
@user-ex8xf9fr7u also how. Is this pick me, woke, racist, or Karen. Like are you just throwing words at the screen. Is it just like. Mind-blowing that I got hired to work for the daycare? Do you think it’s pick me to explain to the girls why their hair can do twists but mine can’t? Is it racist that I realized I wouldn’t be caring for many white kids and so I did some cursory research on types of curly hair while I was at the job? Is it woke to you to let two little girls harmlessly play with my hair while I was supervising their class? Am I a Karen for… fuck I don’t even know man. Telling a cute story, I guess. You are a tar pit.
FRRRRR!!!! they be like “non black ppl hair gonna fall out because it’s not meant for your hair type” NAHH B this what y’all are doing to those girls with nothing but hate envy and rage in your hearts.
This has nothing to do with US media or y’all race war. This braider is an African woman in Europe and they are known to do it tightly it has nothing to do with hate or any vile scenario constantly in American minds. They braid for tourists, mostly white, but they just braid how they always braid and they are simply trying to do a job that lasts or they will come back the next day with loose braids. The stylist was laughing because the child's parents were chatting and joking with her. She was the one that asked the child if she wanted to cease the braiding but the girl just wanted braids so asked her to keep going. Stop feeding into narratives based on tiktok clips without context
So it’s only racism because they’re white…..yet it’s not racism for all the millions of black kids who got their hair pulled and braided tightly by other black braiders? This is nothing new. Most black/ African kids have experienced exactly what these young girls went through and even worse… It’s insane how everyone is so obsessed with race and finding racism…
I understand that experiencing pain during hair braiding is common, especially for black girls who have undergone the process numerous times. Some argue that braids don't need to be tightly done, but it's a matter of personal preference. Looser braids require more maintenance and may not last as long, while tighter ones last longer with less upkeep. Criticizing hairdressers for tight braiding can overlook the historical roots of these styles originating from Africa. Many stylists adhere to traditional methods passed down through generations. Therefore, labeling them as cruel disregards the cultural heritage tied to these practices, which is a part of my heritage too.
That little girl is not part of your heritage. And to be honest I don’t care about your culture because I have my own to care about you do you and I’ll do me that’s what the people I. This world forgot. Mind your own business I mind my own business I may have something to say but I still gunna mind my own. Can’t throw stones if you live in a glass house. God bless you and I hope you have a wonderful day.
OP I get what you’re saying. Tiffany… girl what? Like where did that even come from lmao 🤣 Anyway the issue here isn’t cultural norms or stylist braiding preferences. It’s the fact that people in the comments found the pain that the kids were experiencing comical and wanted the stylist to braid TIGHTER. That’s the issue. If it’s a black girl in pain they be all up in the comments advocating for that child, yelling to stop braiding so tight! However in this case it was malicious… towards a child. That’s the problem. Humanity.
I tried to get my hair braided a few years ago, the woman doing them pulled my hair so hard it came off of my scalp in clumps 😭 Least to say, she was fired and 13 year old me got hush hush money
I am white and I just got my braids done for the second time but I love the lady that does my hair because she'll actually ask me if she's doing it too rough. It was actually the most comfortable 12 hours of ever had a sit through.

RIGHT?! Unwashed wet hair on white people will braid easier. All that force is unnecessary 😢

I ain't never seen nobody have to put their back into a set of braids like that... but anyway I'm just glad to hear fm a professional professional that would treat any & everyone that sat in her seat with kindness and respect. Thank you so much for showing that!❤
@@djnkazI'm surprised you're shocked.

Cry about it Karen
@@Fressica_Rabbithike it wasn’t a issue back in the day. Because y’all hated it our hair.
Just praying for a better world 😞 🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️
@@djnkaz I 100% agree with you, and I also pray for a better world where we can all get along no matter the race🥹🫶🏽❤️❤️❤️
Such a bs and dishonest take that you mix a little half truth in to make your rhetoric seem entirely valid.
Those are babies and they never deserve hate period 😢❤❤❤
Amen! Your commentary is 💯% the truth! I had my hair rowed out once and I felt like my whole skull was being ripped apart. Some people have no empathy for others. ❤
I was crying but the woman braiding corn rows on me was sad about it. She and I did not know about wetting my hair instead of pulling.
@@nickeni3050 So sorry about what you went through 🙏
I completely understand you. I hated hair salons as a kid. The braiders didn't take my pain seriously. So I begged my mum to let me cut off all my hair. She listened. Didn't go to a hair salon after that, up until university🤣
@@MarieAnnAdae Unfortunately I love long hair so through out my highschool till uni, I mostly put it in a bun
You're right about heavy handed braiders. I'm heavy handed as well but I know how to manage my strength.
Whenever I was a little girl my family took a trip to the Bahamas and a beautiful black woman braided the side of my hair with those kind of braids and at the end would be and she took such good care of me and I can’t wait until I can save up enough money to take a trip there again.❤😊
And just want to add about how beautiful the ocean was with extremely Clearwater and white sand.
Who allows ANYONE to hurt their child like that?! Insanity!
You are probably the best one of UA-cam that braids hair you go girl ❤
This reminds me of the time I was one of like. Three white folks working at a daycare that was mostly black and latino, and one of the little girls with 4c hair asked if she could try braiding my (at the time, barely wavy bc I didn’t take care of my curls) hair. She was struggling so hard and when I told her (gently) that she was hurting my head, I remember her stopping and going “why doesn’t it braid right?? The twists don’t stay in!” And I had to explain that her hair was so so so much finer than mine, and her curls are what helped her braids stay in, and that I didn’t have any of that. I think she pouted at me about it 😭
THATS SO WHOLESOME! My gg has 4c hair but I just have some curls and it’s so fun to hear her complain about how slippery my hair is 😂😂
@@Chris-lv5uc Wholesome?
@@CloudHeadycause it’s a little kid finding out about different people 😂 it’s funny and wholesome
FRRRRR!!!! they be like “non black ppl hair gonna fall out because it’s not meant for your hair type”
NAHH B this what y’all are doing to those girls with nothing but hate envy and rage in your hearts.
Right, knowing damn well with that flat iron hissing liiikkeee...😂😂😂
@@NOOOOPENOPE😂😂
Most black/ African kids have experienced exactly what these young girls went through and even worse…
It’s insane how everyone is so obsessed with race and finding racism…
Like where did that even come from lmao 🤣
Anyway the issue here isn’t cultural norms or stylist braiding preferences. Humanity.
