The things you describe are exactly what I have gone through being new to the market in 2020/2021, gaining 100% on hype stocks, and losing 70-90% of it (except for Tesla and Palantir). I learned my lesson and approached it completely different by investing in ETFs as well as quality names like Visa, Mastercard, Google, McDonalds etc, educated myself, continued adding during 2022 and 2023 dips, and now on a much better trajectory.
I like following the bitcoin cycles we start out with a bottom and for the next year theyr is always a bull run and then a crash followed by a brutal bear market cool stuff I remember in 2017 my uber driver talked about bitcoin to me a week before the crash, and in 2021 all my friends and family who had no business talking about bitcoin were asking about it and buying 2 weeks before the crash. as long as you know what you are doing and don't fall for the scams and traps and sell on the way up you stand too make a lot of money lol
I am more defensive. I have a farm which has inconsistent income. Dividends are helpful in my lifestyle...I am up a few pennies more than the market, and you are right, it's hard to sit and wait in my defensive positions, watching other things rocket...I have been letting my Dividends pile into cash for the last 2 months...tough emotionally.
This describes me to a T when I started investing/trading. I made a decent amount of money on Tesla, then I was hit by reality when I realized it wasn’t me but the overhype with Tesla, and lost pretty much all I made initially. Decided to step away from the market ~2 years to keep learning, and nowadays I invest in value (not hyped) stocks, watching channels like this and knowing that I now invest/trade for the right reasons and I definitely sleep better lol. I think you’re spot on. Some other UA-camrs were hitting all time high subscribers in 2021. Everyone was piling in and watching videos. The same UA-camr that hit all time high subscribers recently went back to those highs and surpassed it. That happened about a month ago so makes sense we are in the greed stage.

Another great video. Thank you. Difficult call…many have been calling for a significant crash since early 2021…yet here we are….and credit spreads are still very low. I see the S&P rolling over from mid ‘25 if interest rates aren’t close to 3% by then, dragged down by big tech…and possibly a leaning to higher Dividend paying stocks (Pfizer, Xerox, Walgreens etc) which don’t appear overvalued at all at current levels
You still have companies that are now profitable which are dirt cheap like microvast. If you have imbalance in one direction such as overvaluation, you'll generally find more of the opposite. Ppl rush into hype which causes other sectors to crash

💯 likewise. And one of the biggest lessons from that crash was to simply invest in the buildout and avoid the wildly speculative derivatives *especially* as the buildout was nearing its maturation. By 99 this was extremely obvious to all that weren't blinded by outright greed. I'll give an example. In 94 I invested in csco. It crashed in 00 and still has not reached those levels, but as somebody who invested well before the buildout was complete it doesn't matter. That position is still up over 10x. Finally, the leader of today's industrial revolution has consistently maintained this data center cpu-->gpu buildout is north of a trillion. Currently, they are "only" about 100 billion into it. Bottom line, this is about 96/97 and the key is to invest now and not later.
If someone is making money 10 years in a row, or 20 years. Then you know they know what they are doing. 1 year investing history is not enough to prove that someone is a good investor. Everyone can get lucky. 10-20 years history on the other hand shows that it is not luck.
I'm down through 14 years of "investing" but I took a 12 year break, I can confidently say that if I had just listened to my own self I would have been okay, but listening to others is where I get severe losses
I've only bought 2 stocks this year because of a strong and clear thesis. I sold 2 stocks and added some cash to do so. I do my best to ignore whether the market is going up or whether the market is going down.
For all thos BTC critic's ... they all wish they could have bought it at 1k, 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k, 50k, 60k... just imagine how much gold you could buy with the amount of profits. Any massive pullback in it... is a trade not a hold. Same for gold and sliver. Rich don't hold tops ... they trade........ I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 3b"tc to a decent 26B'tc in the space of a few months. Amidst this, the insights of a knowledgeable guide like that of Francine Duguay can be crucial. Her expertise in navigating the nuances of trading has been the key for Me understanding and making the most of these emerging financial trends.
One thing I know for certain is crypto is here to stay, the only thing that leaves is the people who don't manage their risk. Manage that, or the market will manage it for you. With the right strategies you will survive.

Stock market is up 40% on 5.8% earnings growth. I don't think most people realize how "low" earnings growth is because the media keeps saying "record earnings" and other vague terms and people assume it's higher than it is . COmpletely average year of earnings growth

In 1999 the top 6 companies comprising the S&P 500 didn’t have a nearly half a trillion dollars in combined annual free cash flow with zero competition and wide margins on diversified mostly re-occurring revenues. Meta and Alphabet both trade for under 25 times next years earnings….and that’s supposed to be worrisome ? lol The biggest current risk to the market is consolidation yes, but the quality, balance sheets, earnings, cash flow, margins, pricing power and economic resiliency of the companies comprising the market today are absolutely night and day from the market composition 25 years ago. If you want to avoid potential large sustained draw downs diversify out of large market cap weighted indexes and don’t buy individual companies where the expectations & quick returns totally outstrip the valuation and are being driven by retail trader hype ie Palantir, Tesla. If you do hold these anomalies then learn to regulate your bias and emotions and take a profit on a undeserved top, otherwise you deserve to get Cisco’d

I think we are getting media attention now because I’ve started seeing news programs talking more about the stock market, especially about Bitcoin. These programs normally never discuss this kind of topic.

I think that people should only be placing Defined risk trades. Don't buy the whole stock. Don't trade for the whole stock. Everything's overbought.
