Why did you indicate heterozygous alleles for the black offspring on the genetic diagram when you said that it being pure means it is homozygous? And according to how you answered a(2)are we supposed to change it on the diagram or not? And why?

Pure breed can be dominant or recessive . BB or bb!. The BB is for black and the bb is for the other colour so when you cross the two you will B dominant over b that means all the offspring will be black

Since all the resulting offspring are black, when I Cross both parents I'm going to have this :
Parent phenotype: Black bull X Red cow
Parent genotype:. BB. X bb
Gamates. B B. b b
Offspring: Bb Bb Bb Bb
Phenotype: black. Black black black
Now the question says if you cross one of the offspring with a patent red cow, what will be the resulting offspring
Get one black offspring Bb Cross with a parent red cow bb
You will have Bb Bb. bb bb

Now did you see how u came up with the parental genotype?? bb Bb hence we know that Bb is heterozygous ..I think the parental genotype is supposed to be BB to the black bull n bb for the red bull ..
