Also, how many products these days tell you to not but Chanel, quality, bla bla bla! I own 12 Chanel bags and I am totally happy with all of them, I own zero vintage. I do what I want to do with my money honey! 😂

Tip: if it makes your heart flutter/excites you buy it! Stop caring about resell value! Go enjoy it and if it doesn’t work or you fall out of love at least you know you tried. “Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” (AHH) ❤. Also saving this so I can watch each time I want/buy a bag. Currently I’ve been eyeing a snakeskin Chanel but thought due to scales lifting, the safer option would be sherling lol. And you’re right we don’t care, so I need to stop feeling guilty. Yes, To black bags! I always talk myself out of them lol. Now this is a perfect reason not too when I already have x amount of x color. Thank you for the great advice.

Preconceived ideas of who wears what on which occasion is totally pointless. Stay in yr own power, it’s yr money buy what you want with it & always enjoy what you’ve bought. How boring if we all stuck to the same “I must have X bag”. Think about the initial purpose of yr intended bag purchase but as surely as the sun rises in the east & sets in the west, as yr life changes so will the different uses of the bag become more apparent. Happy New Year! Great advice. Your first tip resonated with me the most. I love practical crossbody bags that have an external pocket for a phone. But I realize that luxury designers don't necessarily mean for their bags to be very practical. They can be just beautiful and maybe whimsical too, and that's why we're drawn to luxury.

I came very close to passing on a black cannage tweed MyLady Dior recently because I worried that it wouldn’t be practical if it rained, and I “should” be buying the classic black lambskin, and I didn’t need two black Lady Diors etc etc. I just bought the tweed in the end because I loved it … whether I still add a black lambskin version later, time will tell … but I realised that I don’t actually “have” to buy one because it’s more sensible (or because it reminds me of princess Diana) 😂😂 I know these things, but I still seemed to get stuck in that period of indecision … almost missed the bag altogether

Thanks for the advice! I would add the topic of age. I did not buy my most used bag- a LV Palm Springs Mini for so long because I thought at 50 I was too old to carry it. Only saw those in 20's and 30's carrying one. I was so wrong and glad I added it because it is the perfect bag for my casual lifestyle and for travel. Happy New Year and have a beautiful weekend!

Unpopular opinion but it's totally okay to buy a bag and never use and just look at it sitting on your shelf if it makes you happy! I have those bags and I have no intention of getting rid of them because they make me happy. It's like art. There are NO RULES! Cheers xx
