Other than that all that really matters is food, which is REALLY IMPORTANT, armor, which is hard to get, and speed, which is fairly simple to acquire. Food and armor both require cash, which you get from fighting enemies. So in a way, no, things don't help with the final boss directly, but indirectly they really help.
I expected Break in 2 to be more difficult than Break in 1, however I got all of the badges in break in 2 by myself the day it came out. On the other hand, I've spent years trying to get all the badges in Break in 1 and I still can't do it lol.

To get boost colas, you need to progress through the game first, which, in turn, gives you less time to do the golden apple minigame I did it with level 3 stats and a blue crowbar, only got hit once, with very tight timings on attacking the barricades, with someone being kind enough to go get the items outside and it took until after wave 2 ended for me to get the golden apple The time between gusts of wind attacking you is also randomized for some reason, making it way more difficult and luck dependent on getting the badge Now onto my least favorite part of this, the last barricade Due to the distance between you and the bush, the light that flickers to warn you about the incoming winds doesn't last long enough to tell you when it is coming until by the time you've made it to the bush, you would've already gotten hit, and the amount of hits you can get on it at max without speed boosts is 3 3 It takes over 20 hits to break a barricade (in the scenario I've described earlier) and you can only get 3 miniscule hits in before the wind comes and sends you back to near the start of the minigame

I love the game my only problem is there are SO many objectives to do and only like 3-4 of them actually help with the final boss

For the Operation: Dog Rescue badge I got it with level 2 speed with hyper role.( it's the one with the lollipop.)
Or do it with 2 or 1 cans of cola 4 speed is recommended you can do it with no cola and just 2 speed if youre good at obbies
