All membership functions are used to covert crisp value into fuzzy value. They maps crisp numbers to fuzzy by assigning appropriate membership value to input for given fuzzy set.
Im sorry sir but in gaussian why did the sigma turn into 3? Where did that come from?
It is just an example. To explain the computation, i assumed sigma as 3. It shows if given such various parameters of GMF, then how to find membership value for given crisp value
